Look up videos of Wade on Star Search when he was 8 and was performing Michael's dance moves or look at Michael Jackson's Black or White video and you'll see Wade as one of the kids on the stoop hanging with Macaulay Culkin.
That was AWESOME! Wade has a very specific style, and to see him adapt to Michael's style of more flow less pop is awesome!!! I can't wait to see what him and Cris are going to come up with. Everybody knows that but when it comes to impersonating MJ's moves down to the wire, Wade is the BEST that I've seen do it...hands down!!! This is a great video thanks for posting. I love the choreography of Wade and his dance style. What I got from the video is someone doing a good job of mocking Michael Jacksons moves. What I mean by that is if you have ever looked at those who try to dance like micheal are moving so fast and trying to hard. Micheal was smooth with his motion and a true talent. All that from a peron with no formal dance training. He was a true Icon and dance genious.

Out of all the people that tried to do a dance tribute to Michael Jackson Wade Robson is the best out there to do it. All the other MTV dance tributes really sucked. I'm sure Michael Jackson appreciated them but Wade Robson is the best at it after MJ.
I think Wade can dance exactly like MJ, and that's too much said. Wade has the same energy, flexibility, and style that MJ used to had. I love Wade! But of course MJ was not only know by her movements, but he made history in Pop Music and was an outstanding singer!
rrichmondboy you are correct...Wade get's a bit too hyped up when he dances..too fast and well hyper..he needed to slow it down and become the dance not dancing as hard as you can. Michael had a brilliant way of doing both with balance. You gotta become ONE with it. Wade is good dont get me wrong..most tributes have been sloppy. Not sharp and crisp like MJ.

Wade first met Jackson on the Bad tour as the prize for winning a dance contest and MJ invited him to dance on stage with him. He also testified in defense of MJ in 2005. Wade became choreographer for Britney, N'Sync, etc. & many other things. Not only did he have MJ as a great inspiration but also they were true friends to each other.
I am a MJ fan, first and foremost. But Wade is still tops to me. Love him. Great dancer and I'll watch him dance anythng. He's really good and I'd rather watch him dance Michael's steps than Usher
Beautiful but surprisingly it also shows how there will only ever be one Michael Jackson. There are so many amazing dancers and singers out there but noone will ever compare to the KING. I have to say I think this is the best Thriller dance cover I've seen yet - quality wise. The dancers really have the moves down and add the MJ needed energy, so props to them for that

There's always something a little bit more magic about MJ... the way he moves, holds his poses, his clean lines, his ticks, the kicks, all the nuances of his movements... everything. So damn precise... Everyone else, no matter how good they are, always just pales in comparison. And I'm not trying to take away from these guys, like Wade (who is good in his own way)... True, but all great artists get their influence from somewhere. Even the GREATEST Michael Jackson credits Fred Astaire (watch "Fred Astaire Smooth Criminal" video) , Sammy Davis Jr. and James Brown to his influences in dance. Even the moonwalk was around before MJ, but MJ popularized it and took it to the next level. I love Wade's tribute to MJ. RIP We love you MJ.
WADE ROBSON was one of the boys who testified in 1993 In FAVOR of MJ. He was coached en mentored by MJ. The whole family tetified in his favor. Wade has MJ to thank for his career. He does his "master's"moves beautifully. But there was and there will only be ONE Michael Jackson. RIP KING OF KINGS.

They first time I saw The Wade Robinson Project, before I saw him dance, I was like, "Who is this fool?" Then I saw him dance at the end, and was like, "Dang! I wouldn't want to battle him."
Wade is an amazinggg choreographer. He is really creative with his own movements. He is obviously not as good as Michael himself, but no one can be. He did a fantastic tribute to the man and this show is really old. He did way before MJ died. Wade has grown even more as a dancer/choreographer since this show. check out some of his choreography on youtube..there's tons. He always has inspiration for his choreography..and MJ was one of his main inspirations.

Great job!! But the big problem is that no one, and I mean no one, can dance like Michael Jackson. 'Cause when he danced he made it look so effortless. And I'm sure it was, 'cause he had it in him, the rhythm that so many people struggle to find he was born with. MJ loved it when people impersonate him, copy his dances, cover his songs and follow his humanitarian efforts. He wants to make his legacy continue through many years. Wade Robson was one of those kids who have lived for sometime in Neverland and was close to MJ.

MJ met Wade Robson when he was little and its so sad..because Wade #1 inspiration was Michael Jackson..Wade Idolized the King..I really can't blame him at all because there are BILLIONS of people who idolize Michael. MJ was really really James Brown type'a Funky. Wade isn't so much. His love is of dance in general and choreography. MJ moved within the music. It was counting 1 and 2 and 3, it was more like boom, boom wahssp , boom. if that makes any sense at all.
There is no doubt that this guy is a great dancer but comparing him the MJ is difficult really, watchging him dance I don't get the feeling that it is coming from his heart that I get watching MJ. Even though he can do all the moves there was just something about MJ that was special.

I am sorry ..but can't NOBODY do it like the KING OF POP! Wade is a decent copy of the moves..however, he does not have the "finesse" and fluidity needed to execute MJ moves. His movements are mechanical and too quick. He lacks the "smoothness"....
I agree with mikehoncho: I would NOT say that Wade dances Michael's style "better" than Michael, but his hits are sharper. Because Michael is/was a more petite male, therefore more compact, I feel that he actually danced Thriller better than Wade. The moves worked better with a smaller body type. But, that doesn't detract from what Wade does. That's why they have short figure skaters and tall basketball players. Each body type suits a particular sport/dance.
well i don't know about "better", why not just "different"? wade does it like wade. wade hits a little harder than mj, not being high on demerol might have something to do with that. but what mj lacked in athleticism, he more than made up for with his creative genius, musicality, rhythm, groove, timing, style and his music. mj's dancing seemed more natural, funkier even. there. i said it :)

I have to say I think this is the best Thriller dance cover I've seen yet - quality wise. The dancers really have the moves down and add the MJ needed energy, so props to them for that

I agree with what most of you guys are saying. There's always something a little bit more magic about MJ... the way he moves, holds his poses, his clean lines, his ticks, the kicks, all the nuances of his movements... everything. So damn precise... Everyone else, no matter how good they are, always just pales in comparison. And I'm not trying to take away from these guys, like Wade (who is good in his own way)... But is JUST IS... Thanks Wade for honoring MJ... and thanks for posting!

Alright people need to stop saying that Wade is no Michael. He's not trying to be. He's paying tribute to him. He's honoring his mentor, he's obviously not Michael. No one is or ever will be.

True, but all great artists get their influence from somewhere. Even the GREATEST Michael Jackson credits Fred Astaire (watch "Fred Astaire Smooth Criminal" video) , Sammy Davis Jr. and James Brown to his influences in dance. Even the moonwalk was around before MJ, but MJ popularized it and took it to the next level. I love Wade's tribute to MJ. RIP We love you MJ.

WADE ROBSON was one of the boys who testified in 1993 In FAVOR of MJ. He was coached en mentored by MJ. The whole family tetified in his favor. Wade has MJ to thank for his career. He does his "master's"moves beautifully. But there was and there will only be ONE Michael Jackson. RIP KING OF KINGS.

Wade Robson is one of the world's best top choreographer. But MJ was so unique in his moves, he is just unbeatable. I was wondering why Wade didn't try to be one of MJ's dancer at the This Is It concerts, which unfortunately never came to pass.

Wade is an amazinggg choreographer. He is really creative with his own movements. He is obviously not as good as Michael himself, but no one can be. He did a fantastic tribute to the man and this show is really old. He did way before MJ died. Wade has grown even more as a dancer/choreographer since this show. check out some of his choreography on youtube..there's tons. He always has inspiration for his choreography..and MJ was one of his main inspirations.

No doubt he can dance...I think the only problem is that he dance so fast.MJ's moves is so lovely even though the music is too fast like the smooth criminal,but then you still can see MJ's sexiness..You know the' BODY LANGUAGE' As i know this Wade was inspired by our KING OF POP, MJ...So, good luck to his career.

Great job!! But the big problem is that no one, and I mean no one, can dance like Michael Jackson. 'Cause when he danced he made it look so effortless. And I'm sure it was, 'cause he had it in him, the rhythm that so many people struggle to find he was born with. So no matter who dances his steps they're gonna make it look like they worked 4 months on trying to get those steps right and still not master them the way he did. Because he is one of a kind. <3<3<3 RIP

Good Job Wade....but the more I watch ppl impersonating Michael...I continue to realise that ONLY MJ CAN DO MJ. His moves were always suttle yes sharp and strong....so much u'll never get them exactly how he does them...and most importantly u'll never forget them. Every move had a meaning and a lasting impression

MJ loved it when people impersonate him, copy his dances, cover his songs and follow his humanitarian efforts. He wants to make his legacy continue through many years. Wade Robson was one of those kids who have lived for sometime in Neverland and was close to MJ.

MJ met Wade Robson when he was little and its so sad..because Wade #1 inspiration was Michael Jackson..Wade Idolized the King..I really can't blame him at all because there are BILLIONS of people who idolize Michael. Michael had style..The vocals..and THE KILLER DANCE MOVES! But like everyone says..NO ONE CAN TOP MICHAEL! the routine was great but Wade's seemed more choreographed..Michael's seem so natural like it was a natural instinct..b/c in reality..all his moves came from the heart.=D

MJ was really really James Brown type'a Funky. Wade isn't so much. His love is of dance in general and choreography. MJ moved within the music. It was counting 1 and 2 and 3, it was more like boom, boom wahssp , boom. if that makes any sense at all.

There is no doubt that this guy is a great dancer but comparing him the MJ is difficult really, watchging him dance I don't get the feeling that it is coming from his heart that I get watching MJ. Even though he can do all the moves there was just something about MJ that was special.

I am sorry ..but can't NOBODY do it like the KING OF POP! Wade is a decent copy of the moves..however, he does not have the "finesse" and fluidity needed to execute MJ moves. His movements are mechanical and too quick. He lacks the "smoothness"....

I agree with mikehoncho: I would NOT say that Wade dances Michael's style "better" than Michael, but his hits are sharper. Because Michael is/was a more petite male, therefore more compact, I feel that he actually danced Thriller better than Wade. The moves worked better with a smaller body type. But, that doesn't detract from what Wade does. That's why they have short figure skaters and tall basketball players. Each body type suits a particular sport/dance.

well i don't know about "better", why not just "different"? wade does it like wade. wade hits a little harder than mj, not being high on demerol might have something to do with that. but what mj lacked in athleticism, he more than made up for with his creative genius, musicality, rhythm, groove, timing, style and his music. mj's dancing seemed more natural, funkier even. there. i said it :)
