  • Plant said that if Zep reunited that they'd just be stealing money from thier fans. He said that he can't hit the notes or sing the songs like they should be sung. So get over it and plug in a cd.

  • Come on. Robert Plant decided to not have any chance of a Led Zep reuinion tour so he could go on tour with her, and sing crap like this!??!! Come on Led Zep every song of theirs beats this song hands down.!!!

  • Robert Plant is the shit.

  • hey i'm a huge led zep fan.

i'd like to see them on tour right now...ahaha

but, watching this video and others..dude.. this "couple", seriously...they rock!

    great chorus!

    great bass!

    great voice!

and....i'm gone gone! i mean..i'm done with this post.

  • Visual quality of videos on YouTube keeps getting worse since Google took over. Are they trying to kill YouTube? I'm slowly switching to Metacafe.

  • Great version of a great Everly Brothers song. I like both versions but I go with The Everlys first. Theirs is little more rockin.

  • Hey... wildflowerz???? I just thought it sounded a little rockabilly. A little Elvisy. Could'nt you hear Him singing this? This song and their colaboration is wonderful.

  • Has anyone seen Scarlett Johansson & Pete Yorn new single its a total rip off of this song? Two losers attempting to sound like two legends...I feel for them. Its a truly embarrassing attempt. How can anyone think to compete with Alison Krauss?

  • When did he turned gray ?

  • reminds me of the beatles!!!

  • Very Cool !!!

  • and Alison Krauss too.

  • Robert Plant is truly a great musician and respectable person. The fact that he is 60 something and still kicking it like that shows how much music means to him and how much he really enjoys it. hats off to RP.

  • Finally Don & Phil Everly will get some cash and credit for a great song. The double bass drum on their original is better, though.

  • I love Led zepplin and I love this song , any new music from Robert Plant , John Paul Jones or Jimmy Page and I will love it.

  • Don't automatically assume that. What if JPJ suddenly takes an interest in polka? Granted, it would probably be the most bad ass polka you've ever heard, but still.

  • Amazing!!!Robert is always great no matter what he does.I am a great fan of him.Go on Robert!!!!!

  • i have never been a fan of led zepplin but found this to be a great colaberation and please i dont need a scholding for not liking led zepplin just never really cared for them but this is aewsome and will bring more fans to led zepplin because of it also for the zepplin fans robert plant was voted best vocalist of the last 60 yrs

  • I never had been a big fan of his either, but i'm really getting into him now . Thanks to this video and remembering his Tall, cool, one song he did back in the day.Funny at 37 year's old,i'm really listening to Led Zapplin more now, while my old school friends are like,I TOLD THAT YOU SHOULD HAD LISTEN TO THEM ..They are great!!

  • this is pretty great, mostly because of the drumming by jay bellerose, who is without a doubt the best drummer i have ever seen play. but i still like fairport convention's version better. and yes, i know it's an everly brothers song, before you get all hot and bothered.

  • plant should just ditch this and go back to led zeppelin where he belongs. do a world tour. maybe even an album. ffs

  • GREAT VIDEO have only heard the music by itself and that was good... this puts icing on the cake !

  • she looks great

  • Robert Plant Facts:

One time Robert Plant sang so loud that Chuck Norris's skin melted off and then the guitar noise of Jimmy Paige made his muscles fall off. Then the drumming of Bonham made his eyeballs explode and after that he kinda just died. Because he's Chuck Norris and he's a Republican.

  • robert plant love this song

  • their voices just work so well together

  • Very very cool...love them..much...oh yes ...gone gone gone...

  • Best concert I've seen in YEARS!

  • I heard this before I knew who it was by. It reminds me of the Everly Brothers!

  • Great song!! These two work fabulous together.Plant is so lucky being around a HOT,Talent artist likie Alison..I hope there is more to come!!

  • great song

  • this is like the the bestest song eva!!!

    i luv it!!!

  • great song! I saw them in concert! twas amazing! I love the shiny stuff behind them in the video, but the whole... inflatable dancing noodle things creep me out so much... sooooo much.. oh well :)

  • omg, wow its weird to see robert like this and him sing like this

  • i love this song

  • notice all her dresses with shoulders showing ....such baby skin wow

  • Nice!

  • I like the song, but I would prefer a tour with reunited Zeppelin rather than a Plant-Krauss tour. What Zep fan wouldn't?

  • I love this record, but I would rather see a Zep reunion thanANYTHING in the world.Allison is much hotter than JimmyPage though,....

  • I so agree... The Raising Sand album wasn't bad, but compared to Zep I, II, III, IV, Houses Of The Holy, Physical Graffiti, Presence, and In Through The Out Door, it pales.

I do agree that Alison Krauss is hot, but I would rather go to a concert with the one and only Gods of Rock.

  • this is so cool

  • Robert Plant always rocks.

  • This is so odd.

  • Awesome song and I love her dress!

  • This is a rocking good song!

  • Comment removed

  • This song rocks!! Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are great together :) Led Zepp still still lives in my heart.

  • And even though im 19 I dont understand why people would want chris brown or any other nowadays artist to win the grammys.

  • nice. i wish the majority of people thought the same way.

  • Robert Plant actually sounds really good in this song, vocally. Reminds me of the way he sang in Over The Hills and Far Away and Going To California.

  • Goin to California is what popped in to my head. he sounds good for sure

  • this song is amazing! it is so different and it is like no other!!! this is probibly his best in history of zepplin and allison!

  • this song is like creme and alcohol! it's that good. if only elvis was alive to hear this!

  • that slut is brilliant :D...this song uis wicked :P

  • THIS IS INCREDIBLE! Alison, the lovely lady of bluegrass teaming up with the heavy metal icon for a rockabilly flavored arrangement. This is FEEL GOOD music... Alison and Robert earned their grammy with this track. Bravo!

  • wtf !

    BULL SHIT

    COMMON PLANT,

  • Magic happens now and then and these two are one of those times. I love all music and theses are two of the best at what they do and are even better together. Who would have "thonk it"?

  • I couldn't believe this was Robert Plant till I closed my eyes and just listened. He still has it.

  • They won the grammy for this Best Pop collaboration with vocals

  • Great singers, great video, great cover!

    T-bone Burnett rocks!

  • This is actually a cover of an Everly Brothers song from 1964.

  • Robert Plant is a god. ANY SONG he does is automatically good simply because it has his voice. Steven Tyler, Prince, and all those in the world could NEVER catch up with this machine.

Robert Plant is to music what Barack Obama is to politics.

  • plant should leave the bitch, and rejoin zepp!

  • lol

  • love this song but the music video causes me pain

  • never heard or krauss, but she's amazing. Plant will always be amazing. Lil' wayne is the shit.

Coldplay sucks, i'm so tired of hearing that shit on the radio

  • You must check out Alison Krauss and

Union Station. Especially their, "Let Me

Touch You For a While." Think you'll love it.

  • it is good to see the good old music coming back... there has been a music depression for a long time, no soul... like I say "it's not that she likes bad music... its that she LOVES bad music."

  • people are only liking this song because its robert plant....COME ON. if anybody else wrote this song they would definately say WTF?!?!?!

  • he didn't write the song and no one cares that its robert plant if u take that away u realize how great the song can be.

  • people being ignorant, she is one of the biggest names in country music and has the 3rd most Grammys all time and Robert plant is one of the greatest rockers of all time, what do u expect when u put two geniuses together? its fun its original and its ten times more musically sound then anything lil wayne could ever put out, and cold play should worry bout the copyright infringement lawsuit against them

  • 1) Putting two geniuses together does not necessarily result in great music. Look at how many super goups there are but very few are as good as the members' original groups.

    2) Yes, Lil Wayne sux balls

    3) I think the whole coldplay thing is just a coincidence but thats my opinion

  • oh please settle down and stop "challenging" others with questions. Want to watch a movie? Try "Songcatchers", it's about music. Put a little fun in your life (apologies to Kathryn Murray), try listening to music.

  • lol this is stupid

  • I like how robert plant still sounds like he did back when Zeppelin was still together

  • Sometimes you just gotta give another grammy to Robert Plant...because he's FUCKING ROBERT PLANT!!! Even if you don't like the song, the fact that he made this after so many years of having been a performer and still sounds like he did back then demands that you give him a medal because he's just so fucking awesome

  • You know whats funny i did not insult you but you still found the need to to come and insult me.

    You are a Douche.

  • Sorry bacondude1985 i did not mean to reply to you.

    I truly apologize.

    No hard feelings?

  • how the fuck did these 2 people win all those awards at the grammies i never even heard of her. NEVER EVEN KNEW ABOUT THIS. THIS IS BETTER AND SOLD MORE THAN THE CARTER 3?

  • Dude thats Robert Plant from Led Zeppelin one of the greatest rock bands to ever graced this world.

Robert Plant has more talent on his finger nail than Lil Wayne has in his whole body,

  • I KNOW WHO THE FUCK HE IS I DONT KNOW HER. YOU IDIOT. THIS IS LIKE CLASSICAL BULLSHIT. ITS 09 NOT 79. COCKSUCKERS. and this isnt led zeplin. i never even knew about this until the grammies when they won everything. pissed me off

  • Grow some ears and respect the work of others. Yes, Robert Plant produced more commercial and appeasing music back with L.D., but through the years he has earned the right to produce whatever the hell he wants. Learn to respect him and his music before you bash him or Alison Krauss and label their music as "classical bullshit."

  • i never even knew of this album. is it deserving then? NO cocksucker

  • Look man, just because you've never heard of this album doesn't mean that it's not deserving. No one has made you the authority over music in the U.S. and obviously nothing anyone says is going to make you learn to respect other's work. I personally can't stand Coldplay but respect the hell out of them because their music sells and goes somewhere. Pull your head out of your ass and realize that commercial music doesn't revolve around your ears alone.

  • IF THERE SO FUCKING GODO AND AMAZING HOW COME I NEVER HEARD OF THERE ALBUM AND NEVER KNEW ABOUT THIS UNTIL GRAMMY NIGHT. I DO LISTEN TO MUSIC AND PAY ATTENTION TO WHATS GOING ON. FUCKING IDIOT GO LISTEN TO YOUR UNDESERVING CLASSICAL BULLSHIT AND DIE IN A HOLE JUST LIKE THIS SONG STUPID FUCKING FAGGOT. pz`

  • GODO? Is that a word? You never heard of it...is that some sort of human touchstone? Hope not... doesn't mean it isn't great. Shut the CAPS off, it's meaningless, just shouts you have nothing important to say, If you have an opinion, fine. You don't, so go away, doesn't concern you.

    h.

  • mcredsox16 you are quite pathetic it must be said.

if i dont know them they cant be good? i only heard of them on grammy night? therefore you clearly arent on the pulse of music as they won 5 showing mass appeal and deserving talent.

you wrote your whole statement in capital letters, which is the vintage sign of a moron. excessive swearing in inappropriate places. poorly structured. in conclusion, you sir are a dick.

p.s i dont even like them that much but you irritated me that much.

  • i dont give a fuck what you think about my responses and how i write them. its my opinion you stupid fucking faggot and you can act smart with your stupid smart ass responses all you want but i know im fucking right with half the world. fuck head

  • "Stupid smart"

    LOL. N00b.

  • You could've gone approximately 25% of the way toward not sounding like a completely useless douchebag by reaching to the left of the "A" button approximately 1/10th of an inch and depressing the CAPS LOCK key.

That's not to say that you wouldn't still sound like a completely useless douchebag, but at least you wouldn't be a completely useless douchebag who doesn't know how the caps lock key works.

  • Let's see here. I'm listening to music that I actually enjoy on a Friday night. Meanwhile, you're clicking on links to music that you have never heard of and/or don't like, and you're shitting up the comments fields with your worthless opinions.

That begs the question of who REALLY needs to get a life.

  • Actually, I'm saying that you're a sad, lonely shell of a person who's completely incapable of interacting with anyone on more than a preteen level, but you're too stupid to grasp what I'm trying to get through to you.

People might actually tolerate you if you had some semblance of intelligence.

  • get off youtube fag you obviosly have no life if you sit in youtube all day defending some stupid song. get a life. bbL loser

  • I'm not here to defend a song. I like it and you don't, which means that you have shitty taste in music, but I can't change that. I'm here to remind you that you are a complete waste of life.

I'm sure you will be back later. You have nowhere else to go, which pretty much sums up your entire life.

I'm not going to get off YouTube, and unfortunately you're probably not going to take my advice to eat a bullet, so I'd say we're at an impass now. I'm done giving you my attention.

  • It helps if your head is out of your own ass. You never heard of her? Irrelevant. It's called music. Not the crap you have in your ipod, or whatever your source is, no one cares. It's called...music. And it's great.

  • thanks for a smart reply. "i like music that everyone agrees and likes with"....what? no sense. We get it, you're 12, at most. Can't even write hate in sentences. Please show your Mom and Dad.

Music wasn't created 12 years ago....

    "like classical slow gay shit". Classical...Mozart;

    slow "Tennessee Waltz";

gay, I have no idea, since I'm not. Here's the thing..."i dont give a shit"...irrelevant, look it up. Absolutely nothing about this event is about you. "shut the fuck up" ick

  • " never even heard of her. NEVER EVEN KNEW ABOUT THIS. THIS IS BETTER AND SOLD MORE THAN THE CARTER 3? " It doesn't matter, ever, in music , or anywhere, what you've heard, of whom you've heard, what you know...none of it matters. No one cares. Go away

  • great song. smart idea to put these 2 great singers together.

  • I am so happy they won!

As a Led Zeppelin fan AND a bluegrass fan, I'm thrilled that they collaberated!

And them winning album of the year...just proves that theres hope yet in the music industry!!!

  • bad quality

  • dont forget last year one for gone, gone, gone. total 6

  • The Grammys sure got it right this year. This is great music no doubt about it

  • don't know who the guitarist is but the song was originally released by the Everly Brothers...interesting choice by T.B. Burnett

  • congradulations to 5 grammys!!well deserved...

  • Whoever put these two together deserves a huge raise. (Maybe they put themselves together?) The Grammies sure got it right this year. About time!--arnie113

  • never even heard of this song

  • Comment removed

  • I am encourgaed by this years Grammy's. It looks like we are getting back to music with lyrical and melodic structure. Perhaps there is hope yet for the industry.

  • The real genius behind this music is the producer, T Bone Burnett. He picked the tunes (most from the 1940's or there about) and chose the musicians. I'm a huge Zep fan but was a little disappointed in Plant's performances. I somehow think these tunes could have been elevated to a higher level by teaming Allison with someone other than him. Trouble is, it probably wouldn't have garnered the same attention. Regardless, love the CD!

  • pop colab (rich woman)

    country colab (killing the blues)

    folk album

record of the year (please read the letter)

    album of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was shocked they won but I love this sound. It has something the music industry needs and that is something different. so open open your minds up you people who don't accept something different and get out of the box your in.

  • F U Percy

  • Go RP and AK!!!! Album of the YEAR!!!!!

  • Who is the guitarist?

  • t. bone burnett i think. he was also their producer

  • very cool sound. Hats off to R Plant for transforming his sound. And she's a very fine accomplice. Yes!

  • They totally rock!!! Are you kidding with the neg reviews earlier? My god, they have the most eerie electric sound together. Amazing!!! He is British and understands the roots of all music -- look at his earlier collaborations in Timbuktu and throughout North Africa. This was an obvious evolution. They both get it!!!!

  • she now has the third most Grammys of all time...kind of excessive, but then she always makes classy music

  • Shows what old age does to your mind....go back to zepplin you crazy old man!!! wth is this crap

  • Finally, something refreshing to listen to.

  • congrats robert plant!!! 60 years old and album of the year!

  • Album of the Year... Congrats guys!

  • Such a shame to see a legend sing this crap. Just like Jimmy Page playing guitar with Nelly.

  • I came to hear their music because they are sweeping at the Grammys

    I like it!!

  • Guys face it, u might as well just enjoy the old Zeppelin stuff and live with the fact that the band has gone on to different projects.

  • robert plant=dead, sounds like something you would hear at the beach

  • This deserves to win a Grammy,--arnie113

  • And it did! Woohoo!

  • hey guys, I only heard 3 songs from Raising Sand: "Rich woman", "Gone gone gone" and "Killing the blues".

and I was wondering if Plant hits any high note on the rest of the album? does he hit any high note on other song from that album?

    thanx already

  • To answer your question, do you know of any 60+ year olds who can hit the "high note?" That said, the lowest, barely audible note from Robert Plant is still better than any high note Clay Aiken, David Cooke, or David Archuleta ever hit.

  • u cant EVER do better than zeppelin figure it out plant

just do the fuckin reunion tour and stop being such a faggot

  • i know you want a zeppelin tour. so would i. but this record is really fantastic.

  • you have to give gim credit for still going but yea

stop dicking around and give us a tour

  • wow still rocking it after all these years,WOW he looks GREAT!

  • Incredibly cool...today's music normally just sucks and most of the older musicians like The Stones) put out lifeless music with no kick or fire in their recordings.....this is complete and total sweetness...what a nice upbeat change!!

    I dig it a lot

  • Comment removed

  • ok seriously people. im a HUGE zeppelin fan. and i, of course, was really skeptical of this and figured it would suck. BUT i decided just to listen to it with an open mind. so, i listened to the song, and you know what, i really like it! just because robert isnt beltin away hard rock songs with no shirt on dosnt mean this sucks. he just did something different. i actually really like their voices together. it sounds nice. I dont like the music vid all to much though

  • Get over yourself!

  • Alison Krauss just looks more and more pretty as time goes on. She's one heck of a singer.

  • No Way in hell will this be accepted by my mountain country folk....WTF Allison? Are you on meth now?...Did you get tired of watching the angels rejoice when you sang?..did that bore you?....I know that long black train looks appealing but please don't go riding.....but if you do...we'll wait on you to come home...we all have at one time or another....we'll be waiting with open arms

  • I don't see the harm in expanding one's musical horizons. If Alison has fun performing music other than bluegrass, that's her prerogative. She lends herself well to this kind of music.

  • a good cover plant is still plant and allison krauss' voice is pretty bitchin not into this kind of music at all but its not bad

  • I love this song and what an awesome video...am off to find it on i-tunes.

  • Saw this live at the Pageant... fucking amazing...

  • some of you assholes need to stop living in the past! Led Zeppelin happened and it's over! I respect Robert Plant more for wanting to move on by doing things like this, instead of catering to a certain group of nostalgia-mongers who want to keep him up on stage singing Whole Lotta Love for the 2,500 time! Why are some of you so damn obsessed with Zeppelin, to the point where you can't accept him in any other role?

  • Have to agree with you there. I love Zeppelin as much as everybody, but nothing great is gonna last forever. I'd rather see Robert being successful doing his own thing than see Led Zeppelin trying to produce new music that can't compare to the stuff they were cranking out in the '70's. I wouldn't want them to do what Guns 'N' Roses did with Chinese Democracy.

  • plant still sings great even after 30 years

  • The Everly Brothers - who are even older than Robert Plant - wrote and recorded the original version of this song. If you haven't yet, check out their version of this terrific little song. You'll be glad you did.

  • lol why you gotta say even OLDER than plant

  • The Everly Brothers originally recorded this in 1965,during the height of the British Invasion and the more pronounced drumming and crackling guitar acknowledges it.

By then the Everly Brothers's time had passed and the song never broke the Top 40.But it really sizzles and is much better than this remake by two artists who I have much respect for. The Ventures also did a hell of an instrumental rendition of this tune.

  • Pcwwtp, before one of the music know-it-alls come on here to correct you, let me point out what Joel Whitburn (the Billboard expert) says about the Everly Brothers' version. Apparently, their version came out in the fall of 1964 - "during the height of the British Invasion" - and just cracked Billboard's Top 40, reaching #31.

Perhaps one of our British friends can indicate how well the Everly Brothers' version did on the UK charts.

  • I wonder if has plant one in her krauss!!!!!!!

  • Muito bom,parabens

  • Love it!!! This song is so addictive... I had never really thought of putting these two together, but it's apparently working pretty well ;)

  • this is the reason why I cant go see Led Zeppelin in tour, Hey robert why dont u get gone gone gone and get back with led zep.

(good song I have to say but stilll :()

  • Mariamluvsmariam... you are right!!

  • bcuz, led zeppelin has a ton of man drama, jimmy page accepted an award for the whole band but didnt give any credit to anyone but himslf

  • Tstopped making music out of respect for their drummer, who passed away.

  • Alison and Robert are great friends. Alison visits Robert at the nursing home every chance she gets, takes him for a walk outside to feed the birds and makes sure he gets to the restroom without getting lost.

  • ahahahahaha!!!

  • saw plant in 1968 in vancouver and most recently in 2008 in seattle... keep on rockin cause we luv ya

  • They're so damn fucking cute together!!!

  • WOOT this was Nominated for a Grammy!!!
