Yes, I'm saying he shouldn't have JUST sang Christian songs. He shouldn't have limited himself by doing that. Considering what he's been through in life, he's a shining beacon of genuine Christianity to everyone who knows of him. Unfortunately, no one really knows of him. If he had gone mainstream, he might actually be able to rally a comeback for the declining Christianity in America.

I don't think you understand how music works. Look at the success of people like The Fray and OneRepublic. SCC had all the talent — talent comparable to secular artists (something MWS never had) — but he limited himself based on his career. Now, the fact of the matter is that he's reached millions, but it's been the Christian music listeners anyway, not the unsaved. The secular music world would have set a powerful public example of what Christianity really is—not hypocrisy or ritual.
