No way is this Synth Pop, it just sounds like all the crap on the radio these days! If you just call it Electro, House or "main stream", I am okay with that. A pain in the ears, James Brown and others were turning in their graves if they would see what people associate with "Eighties" these days! :D
@Homoholic: Hehe, you just can't argue on a neutral level, huh? ;) THIS track portrayed here clearly indicates a pattern and scheme of electronic music, however isn't associated with the famous Eighties. I respect the artist who composed and performed this tune, I just make very clear that its origins are not what you and others may guess, all misled! By the way, James Brown is a legend, a status all these gormless modern wanna-be pop freaks of a former star will NEVER EVER obtain! ;)
I have to disagree with you again. I have been around long enough to know this track is heavily influenced by such early 80s synthpop bands as Yazoo and The Human League. I suppose Parralox sound a bit more pop than "alternative" but they are a hell of a lot better than many "bubble gum synthpop" bands today..
If you don't like it, that's cool but don't say it sounds like "all the crap on the radio these days". In most places in North America you won't hear it on the radio.
@Homoholic: The intro may be synth pop, but after the prologue it rapidly switches to a rather broad main stream range and the main body or main theme counts in my opinion which is like House-Tech, Electronic, New Dance Aera or something in a typical modern mash-up. Nice attempt of the interpret at least and a nice tune, even though my definition of the Eighties is something still different as shown on my channel: The music I produce and adore.
ive never heard you before now, just randomly fell your way, BUT i really love your music =]
reminds me of my friends band called ky and the kassettes,
they sound similar to you. they have a new video called killer, its on my page or just search for them ... I or they would really like to know what people thought of them =]
Lady Gaga stands for less, stupid lyrics and only sound, rythm. Its to superficialy for me. I need songs with deep lyrics. Lady Gaga's Song " Poker Face " is the best example for that.
Nice one;)
