@the0918ronniechris well if ur talking about a original GT-R must be GT-R ver , it can be both RWD and 4WD , but some ppl will just lock the front then it becomes RWD or some just takes off the front drive shafts it also becomes RWD , but original itself uses a electronic control

of course if its a GTS ver u can still just put in a RB26 and it's gearbox beocoming 4WD

GTS origin its RWD btw RB25

This is a shake-down pass of the Exvitermini Skyline from back in the day. The transmission is the HKS Holinger. The car was at the track testing the feasibility of this gear box. The camera view is to capture side-to-side motion during shifts. The engine had to be limited to 10,500rpm as the 'box wouldn't shift above that and the shifts showed too much shock loading. This days tests brought about the plan to run a G-Force 5 speed and slipper clutch.

This run was NEVER a world record. There had been AWD GTRs which are every bit as "street" as this in Oz and NZ running that quick or quicker even back then. Unless maybe there is some special factor to the run which we don't know - maybe the driver was blind? :P
