  • Thanks, man. This was really good to know. I've had this vid watching in my "watch later" playlist for a long time dreading this would be an intensive project that would take lots of time.

As a computer-science major I was a bit worried about having high-voltage; it is going to become a vocation, asif I'm not already on the comp enough already!

Since I now know it's simple, I'm almost inclined to go and do this tonight but I have some PHP to write. We have old water-radiators so it will be easy

  • @nailgunacupuncture A pleasure! quite easy indeed! i had no idea i would help so many people when the old guy in the hardware store told me about this... hehe! its a good thing i shared this information!

Also, (based on your name) , have fun grounding only specific acupuncture points and see what happens!

  • You are a life saver man!! We got some earthing mats and a bed pad, I'm now sleeping like a rock. But we found out about half of our outlets are not grounded, and then to our horror one went from grounded to open ground and was shooting us with 60 volts giving me a sharp headache. Now I'm terrified to sleep with the pad and if the outlet switches to open ground, so after seeing this I hooked the bed pad to the heating pipe and went from 4 volts to .2 Thank you sooooo muchhhh

  • @jasontrucker007 This warms my hearth to hear this!! this is the kind of comment that makes doing a vid like this all worth it! Enjoy!!!!

  • @Zenfood1 this video was the missing piece to the puzzle and I'm so glad you made it. As far as you know, do we run any danger of while sleeping the copper heating pipe some how elevating our voltage like the outlet did. In example, if they do work on the pipes and somehow unground it, would we be hit by massive volts? Are the heating pipes electrified? Just very paranoid after what happened with our unpredictable outlets.... Any thoughts?

  • Hey Max,

Great Video, Do you think we can do the same with a grounding cord from 3M, these have the resistors installed within them.....?

  • @chadii1977 I do not know... you would have to test it...

  • @ahumanshurbert...the book called "Earthing" by Clint Ober, S.Sinatra, M. Zucker says to disconnect the earthing appliances from the ground when there's a chance of lightening.

  • Will do, hey have you been sleeping grounded and been spending more time grounded? have you felt a big difference in your energy and health?

  • @AHumanSchubert To be honest, haven't been grounded much lately. I recently put back my grounded wire that goes from outside through my bedroom window and started spending a part of the night grounded... not all the night b/c when i test with muscle testing, it appers that being grounded is best for me only like 4 hours during the night... note that for most people though being grounded all the night seems best. I used to ground myself much more and felt quite good about it, mostly around laptop

  • Thanks You Tons Max, wow it's amazing to find a friend that helps so quickly. I rarely ask for help, but am eternally grateful when i do and receive it so quickly. You made my day begin great Max. I checked out some of the videos you advised. I know more and feel comfortable on purchasing my first DMM. I'll let you know about the resistor info, as i'm on the hunt. Hope you have a real, and great day.

  • @AHumanSchubert Its a real pleasure! Yes, if you figure out about the resistor (which one to buy and how to integrate it), please let us know! Thanks so much and have a great time with all of this!

  • Hi Max,

do you think plugging a "grounding wire" (like the one you use in your video) into a surge protector will be enough to protect in a thunderstorm? if not, how can i add a resistor for the protection? and 3rd question, were can i purchase the body voltage meter you have? i don't know much yet about this, so i want to have a decent one as i grow and learn.

  • @AHumanSchubert You will have to do your own research on how to add a resistor as i never done this... i am also not sure about surge protector, but i find it a brilliant idea. my guess is that it should work just fine! but research before you risk. You do not need a special body voltage meter, just a digital multi meter that is very sensitive. look at Client Ober and Mercola video here on youtube to know how to mesure your voltage. Buy a DMM that is 0.1 mV - 600 mV AC/DC sensitive. Most arent.

  • This kind of grounding will NEVER give you the benefits of real Earthing. You are referencing your voltmeter to the heating system. Bear in mind that heating systems have an induced voltage of 400+ millivolts AC. Beneficial effects of grounding are ONLY achived below 10 millivolts. Please reference to real Earth to see for yourself. There is a reason that Barefoot Earthing pads and sheets have those fuses/resistors :)

  • @TheBraveFriend You are absolutely right! however keep in mind that i was on the last floor of the building in the middle of downtown Montreal... so that was the BEST i could do , and it is somewhat debatable if the induced voltage is coming into your body in such a way than the shielding effect you get from being grounded (because induced voltage or not you are grounded) is that much lesser... i still think its highly beneficial. if you can do it tho ground straight from the earth!

  • This is AWESOME info!! (Kind of wish I'd seen this before I ordered an expensive sheet and mat. - but I know they'll be nice to have anyway) We also live in an older home where the electrical outlets are not grounded, but we have forced-air heat, (and central air) with metal heating vents - that would normally be grounded as well, I'm guessing? Will check it out when I get my circuit tester - would be awesome if all of our heating vents are grounded! Super video - thanks for posting! :)

  • @LaurenM001 A real pleasure! Thank YOU for sharing your appreciation ;-) ! The best way to know indeed is to checke it out yourself with a ground tester ! And the sheets are amazing by the way so nothing is lost... you will be happy not to have to even think about it once its all set and done, and the silver in them are safer for you (ie less toxic) than most other type of conductive material... so the best to have in direct contact for prolonged times -Max

  • thank you!

  • I am thinking to get the DELUXE DIGITAL MULTI-METER for $60 from Less EMF which seems to have 0.1 mV - 600 mV AC/DC range. I have a probe from my RF meter which I hope will work! The less emf probe is over $100 ....

  • Awesome, thanks for the reply regarding the blanket. Any idea what gauge the ground wire needs to be? I've got a good amount of AWG 20 (RG59U), and some AWG 18 shielded wire.

  • @mdostay now you are talking chinese to me... hehe. from my experiences and tests any wire that conducts electricity should do it. id just try to make sure, at all times, that the metal parts that touch your body isnt any kind of toxic metal... silver or stainless steel would be best!

  • @Zenfood1 surgical stainless steel is better than stainless which has cadmium in it.

  • @researchfiend thanks for this information

  • @Zenfood1 Loved the video, did a number of measurements in my home to compare and it was very interesting. I wired up an alligator clip to my earth ground and added a 100k resistor (as Clint Ober suggests) and slept with it in my sock last night - great night's sleep.

Do you think I can ground a sheet of ArgenMesh fabric from lessemf and use that to make grounded mats & bedding?

  • @mdostay yes! In fact i done it myself with a silver blanket from lessemf.com ... i dont remember if it was specifically this one though! but it does work quite good. i just used an alligator plug going from the ground to the blanket! and if you are lucky enough to live somewhere you can, id get a cable going outside with some kind of rod in the ground and having THAT ground your blanket... thats what i do these days when i sleep and meditate grounded.

  • why step on an alligator clip? I suggest a flat plate with the clip attached.

  • @EVWatson1 i agree with you fully! more confortable with a flat plate, or the silversocks from lessemf

  • good stuff, thanks for sharing! :)

  • 0.1 V is 100 mV right? What voltage have you selected in your metter? By the way to measure your body ristence to electricity what should I do?

    Thanks,

    Filipe

  • Hi. First of all thanks for your video. Now, a question, qhere ddi you buy your metter? Hoe many volts/oms did you select in your metter?

    Thanks

    Filipe

  • What are you setting the dial on the voltmeter to...there are so many numbers and letters? Thanks!

  • May I ask you how do you measure your body voltage using the multimeter? I don't understand why I can't do that with my meter. Thanks

  • @greenb1a hey!

most probably the range on your meter doesn't go all the way to enough sensitivity to measure your body voltage!

you need a meter like this one, that is sensible enough, to measure

body voltage : lessemf DOT com/probe DOT html#dmm there is some on

ebay as well but make sure they are sensible enough!

"Most important feature: the all important 0.1 mV - 600 mV AC/DC range

so it can be used with the Body Voltage Sensor, and all magnetic field"

    Good luck!

    Max

  • @Zenfood1 I am trying to find the same sensor on Less EMF and need help. Would you let me know the name of what you recommend from there or if somewhere else is better now? I watched your great EMF videos for a while. I bought the grounding cord from Less EMF. I am using it and I want to make sure it works.

  • @researchfiend lessemf com unique here you can find the body voltage meter. However, note that the exact item i used in the video appears to not be available anymore on lessemf. i think if you have a sensible enough DMM, you can simply use the red and black wires that comes with it, ground one of them and touch the other and you will get the difference in voltage. if i remember right you set it to the lowest dc voltage sensivitity possible. (only some high qual DMM have this setting)

  • @VideoScenario i am pleased i could be of some help ;-)

  • Hey Max, have you tried the holographic chips which have amazing results as far as protecting the body against EMF radiation and help with many other things including pain, energy, allergies and sleep ? Feel free to contact me regarding this if you would like to know more at bmeekataustindotrrdotcom or go to bradmeekdotcieauradotcom

  • Two things that might help people with out your type of heater also easy to make contact, water pipes are usually a grounded item in your house, they are metal and go down into into the ground, you can access them under your sinks very easy, the other thing you can use is get some metal duct tape, put that on the area where your feet go or hands at your computer and connect the clip to that. you can get metal duct tape at any hardware store.

  • This is wonderful. Thanks! I made a cord like you did. I would like to add a suggestion... instead of using an alligator clip at the end of the wire, I wrapped that end around my gold wedding ring. Now I can sleep with that ring on and stay grounded all night. And when I bring that grounding cord to my computer, I put the ring on a little toe and it stays there comfortably. I didn't wear that ring otherwise! I leave it connected to the cord. I am showing your video to lots of people.

  • @motherworld its a pleasure! very glad it helps you guys out!

  • In event of lightning or heavy storm, can you enlighten whether your method can cause damage to you or electric equipment from lightning shock?

  • Also, when he's sat at the computer "earthing" himself, doesn't this

make him a good candidate for electric shock, as he has now made

himself the pathway of less resistance, should he touch electrical

appliances? surely you should wire a resistor in series with the earth

connection so you don't get blasted by current in the event of touching

    a live connection?

  • @LeventNimet At the Less EMF web site they do sell these tubes you can install for protection. I think this guy does another video where he mentions this too.

  • @researchfiend Thanks, I wired a 1ohm resistor in series, but thanks

for taking the time to respond!

  • I must be missing something here, I don't understand when he says his plug sockets aren't grounded?

If they weren't earthed, they wouldn't work, so how are they not grounded?

  • @LeventNimet yes, in old buildings, they work even if they aren't grounded. the two normal electrical inputs work just fine, there is simply no ground. you have never seen plugs that have only two holes and are missing the grounding one? that's what they are like in that apartment. so basically, if you're trying to plug something that has a ground prong into the wall, you won't be able to until you cut it.

  • hey!

    Max

  • Salut Max,

Merci pour ta video. Je suis un peu comme tout le monde, je me demande sur quoi tu as mis ton multimetre pour faire ces mesures... Mais merci pur le bel effort ;)

  • grounding actually has a more Shielding effect to it, which repels the EMF fields and stuff from your body! see the book Earthings by Clint Ober for more scientific explanations, details and interesting studies!!

also for all of you computer sensitivive, look up blue light melatonin on google! i realised that i was sensitive to the blue spectrum of light coming from mmy monitor!

  • Yes and indeed, the wi-fi and the dect phones (comment below)...are really bad also, I think these may be MORE attracted to you BECAUSE you are grounded?

  • Hey great vid, I'm gonna try this but I won't be using the mains sockets! wouldn't dare! But one thing that concerns me a little is the CFL bulbs that you have in your apartment, they give off 'dirty electric' / emf, won't these be attracted to you because you are grounded (or earthed as we call it in the UK) ...are you dutch by the way?

  • so you are saying I can be protected from emfs by just grounding? I suffer from sensitivity to the computer. Thanks for video bro.

  • 4'21" - 4'22" - 2 DECT phones? Wi-Fi router?

  • I bought a voltmeter but am unsure on how to use it. Can someone give me step by step directions as well as what setting to use on the voltmeter (it's a multimeter)? I would like to see what my body voltage is without using my grounding mat, and then touch my grounding mat and make sure that my voltage goes down showing the mat is working properly. THANK YOU!

  • You should be careful when connecting to ground via mains outlet, as you could get a shock if the socket is wrongly wired. Better to use a proper bit of kit which has built in protection resistor. This place sells them pretty cheaply: groundology. com

  • Interesting grounding vids. Have you tried a measurement in DC mode? What's special about the Body Voltage Sensor? Can't you just use the multimeter probes (holding red in hand and connect black to ground)?

  • @topaz84 nothing special really about the body voltage sensor... you can use the probes i believe! i tried a measurement in DC, i dont remember what were the results. but as i understanding its meaningless only AC is relevant.

  • Thank you!

  • hello! probably your voltage metter isnt sensible enough. you need a special one that goes all the way to mV's .. " Most important feature: the all important 0.1 mV - 600 mV AC/DC range so it can be used with the Body Voltage Sensor, and all magnetic field probes listed. "]

  • Hi I tried this with my voltage meter and am getting 0 reading when not grounding myself so i'm unable to test this...any suggestions. i might make a video response so you can see what i'm doing... thx

  • I live in europe and have simply put my bare toe on the metal earthing 'pin' that sticks out of the socket and can already feel the effect :)

not sure if it can be dangerous though....

  • Just remember NOT to do this in a thunderstorm.Unless you put the voltmeter on high voltage. No really don't do this in a thunderstorm, you should build in some kind of safetydevice.

  • i bought on lessemfDOTcom , its called the body voltage meter and the digital multi meter. i suggest you buy it from them as they sell DMM with the required specification to test the body voltage meter (most standard DMM arent accurate enough to give a meaningful reading)

  • @Zenfood1 where u from

  • @veeandgabenigger Quebec!

  • Répondre à cette vidéo... Quebec

  • @Zenfood1 oh nice

  • 1-Where did you buyed the Body Voltage Sensor with the: (voltmeter or DDM) in one single unit, has you showed in the video (website)?

2-What is the name of this single unit of the combination of the two machines (Body Voltage Sensor with the: (voltmeter or DDM) )?

What I mean is the meter that you mesure.

    Thank you for the video.

  • carnt understand how u was even getting 6v to start with ? im getting just 0.05 to 0.06 with the meter grounded plus me touching probes at same time then once ground removed i get guess what ? exactly the same !!!!!!!! like wtf ?

  • awesome vid max

  • Wow, that is amazing! Thank you, Zenfood1. What is the name of that meter you are using?

  • your just amazing Maxibliss. thanks for the instruction ! peace xx

  • Awesome Max!!! I was always wondering how to ground myself and eliminate the energies radiating from appliances, cities and general industry and machinery surrounding us. I wonder how one would go about grounding every square inch of his living space...?

    I love the instruction, thanks!
