One time my iPhone slipped out of my pocket on top of a rollercoaster I knew exactly where it dropped because I just noticed falling bye so once the ride was finished I ran over my iPhone was fine! Luckily I had my case on and co-incidentally my scratch proof screen protector. Who knew those two things could be that useful
The company that makes that case, G-form.com also does have videos showing drops onto concrete. There is even a throw from a speeding car onto the pavement. Check out videos v=Q1_FmS-ErXs or v=XeI6_gNVPLs to see the drops onto concrete / pavement and a comparison of an ipad destroyed totally in an otterbox
Obviously grass is a lot easier on falls compared to cement, but it's still pretty impressive. As a test, try jumping out of an airplane and not opening your parachute. The surface that you land on won't make much of a difference to your condition, because you'll be toast.
@Rocky1138 If you were a spartan II, you could land with very few scratches. That is because your bones are soo tough, they are literally unbreakable.
@the343totalitarian yes, but by the time it reaches terminal velocity, it's speed would have already been too high for an ipad to survive without a case.
no i don't want an ipad , transformer prime please or a samsung tablet running eider android or windows 7 tywm :D

Lol. I don't think so. It had a thick rubber cover and a landing of grass on it. Sorry.

why? that test didn't help no body, if someone smart enough to not drop it, you could've send that to someone that wished he/she had a gameboy.

What does it matter if the thing landed on grass or not? It fell from 1300 ft! That case is fuckin legit!

That was kinda stupid.... why land it on soft grass when you can really prove that the case is tough by dropping it on top of a hard surface.

What this video doesn't say is that it lands on grass, thrown roughly from 1300 feet, and they have (probably) very expensive cases on...

also, that thing is flat..catches alot of air which slows down speed while falling.
There you go.

@nepalihercules You do realise you made a complete fool out yourself right?

@nepalihercules You do realize that drag force will make the iPad eventually stop accelerating and reach terminal velocity, right?
