@Cabooselol22 Yes i feel you it can be really annnoying. that's how i felt of it at first, but it's used like that because you then need better startegy and a better mind to progress ;). You will need to be good and correctly prepared if you're a wizard. Wizards are really weak at first too, that's why you mostly need companions, BUT...some spells are just too strong. You may be able to use a spell only 3-4 times, but it might be able to kill 3-4 armies...if used right.
@Cabooselol22 However this is a game that no class is underated..weather you play a spellcaster, a ranger, a figher...you will allways be held in awe by the things you can do. Feats that can take, feats that you can unlock..this game is the very best. For example you won't be able to take the dodge feat if you have small dexterity..the feats you see when you level up are not all that there is..how you level up your character determines what "abilities" you will unlock ^^
@DioIsTheBest yeah don't get me wrong, the game is awesome..but that's just something that is hard to get use to for me. I ran into a room with enemies and died because I couldn't cast anything .-. I might be able to get used to the mechanic...but it's gonna take a while.
@DioIsTheBest if anything, they should make the begginer spells "forgot the name" to level 1 spells either have a good amount of charges or some can be free

well when i read that to be an arcane archer, you need to be able to cast 1st level spells, which i thought included ranger spells. but it turns out that ranger spells aren't counted, and it seems like being a level 1 wizard is a waste of a level.
@BrownFlip7852 yeh it is, so make sure you get more levels of that ;) I know it sounds stupid but -5 levels of ranger for +5 levels of wizard, can give you great advantage..you can get shields, and great buffs for your ranger! of course you must have made sure that you have raised your intelligence accordingly :P And i think being a bard is actually even better. you want the buffs more than you want the attacking spells.
@zeusx44 yeh! try out nwn2 too! With the expansion of course (alone it would be kinda of buggy :p ). It's not as epic as nwn but it's pretty awesome :D I'm just glad i could enjoy games like this in my childhood <3

Question - how did you make the ingame vid? If i use Hypercam it becomes a 2 gb size file for 10 minutes and if i convert it to other formats the colours dont match at all (red becomes blue and looks like shit...
also another question i have is when i get to use the prestige class should i because i did when i hit lvl 11 i went to pale master so im lvl 10 wizard and lvl 1 pale master was that a good move or bad one?
@danewnoot Palemaster is a prestige class, you need to take atleast 3 levels in arcane class (bard, wizard or sorcerer) and have an evil aligment. In NWN 1, you don't even need the ability to cast spells, just the three levels in either of the arcane classes.
@danewnoot the best class is elderitch knight..wich is a combination of fighter and wizrd..but unluckyly such class does not exist in nwn1....so in nwn1 one of my favs an every1s fav is Pale Master :P

Arcane spellcasting: level 3 or higher
If you have your attributes (Intelligence for Wizard and Charisma for Sorcerer) and spellcraft high you can virtually get it when you can cast on the 3rd circle of spells. It's not really based on character level rather than the spell levels.

I just ordered the diamond edition of this game, because i missed out when it first came out. I was thinking druid/wiz/soc. But thanks to you i now know which class im going with lol.
Although I don't generally like wizards and to play them; there's NOTHING more powerful than a high level, epic wizard - high end gaming is something different when you're a wizard compared to anything else!
@EmbarrassmentLegacy NWN is very cheap compared to its quality and gameplay and well worth investing in yourself; it's amazing that such a good game is as cheap as it is!
I found it very interesting how you can take the files from nwm folder thats inside your Neverwinter Nights 1 folder and rename .nwm files to .mod files and put them under modules and edit the offical campaign levels...ya know tweak em with a few cheat staff's and spell scroll's here and there ehehehe...such a cool game can't wait to actually buy the 2nd one and play online with you guys!
lol vista doesnt lag if your computer supports it and the game. i however use windows xp 64 bit (if youre lucky you got the drivers for it) which proves to be 25% more efficient than vista...
Yes,and you can play it On line too and there are some really great servers with wuests dragons and truesures etc etc.You can form clans and guilts and fight evil people (members:p)
On D&D it seems that Sorcerers have the advantage when spellcasting... They can spam offensive spells, what more to say. (=p)

@danewnoot Actually, it's a prestige class, you need to become a wizard and then after elvel 15 or 10 you can be a pale master..see it as doing a "master" after getting out of colege/uni ;)

@DioIsTheBest Actually sorcerer or wizard. To qualify as a pale master, a character must fulfill all of the following criteria:
Alignment: any non-good
Arcane spellcasting: level 3 or higher
If you have your attributes (Intelligence for Wizard and Charisma for Sorcerer) and spellcraft high you can virtually get it when you can cast on the 3rd circle of spells. It's not really based on character level rather than the spell levels.

weird was such a badass spell. lol wasnt too useful (at least in the server I played on) but more for show! man they totally FUCKED nwn2 spells -appaling/nonexitent effects :(- I want to get nwn 1 back from my mum's house so I can play it again!

Although I don't generally like wizards and to play them; there's NOTHING more powerful than a high level, epic wizard - high end gaming is something different when you're a wizard compared to anything else!

I found it very interesting how you can take the files from nwm folder thats inside your Neverwinter Nights 1 folder and rename .nwm files to .mod files and put them under modules and edit the offical campaign levels...ya know tweak em with a few cheat staff's and spell scroll's here and there ehehehe...such a cool game can't wait to actually buy the 2nd one and play online with you guys!

lol vista doesnt lag if your computer supports it and the game. i however use windows xp 64 bit (if youre lucky you got the drivers for it) which proves to be 25% more efficient than vista...

Yes,and you can play it On line too and there are some really great servers with wuests dragons and truesures etc etc.You can form clans and guilts and fight evil people (members:p)
