  • Dammit. I was expecting a video of a hot 43-year old broad.

  • Perhaps a Bobcat has bred with a Ferral cat; we have them in Roscommon Co. They are not as sleek as a Puma which is much larger but are as large as a Bobcat and have a tail, AND can be any color as are housecats

  • its mannerisms look like a house cat!

  • thats a house cat pure and simple...not even that big for a pet cat either!!

  • @TrainBridge1 look at the tail pure and simple

  • bobcat with mange.

  • Are some of you kidding? Housecat? Take a look at the video part where the camera zooms out and the animal moving in the distance looks at least like a small size deer, last time I checked a housecat never produced a similar effect in size comparison! Also, cougar juveniles tend to be most curious and that's why when a cougar is spotted, its usually a curious or an un-experienced juvenile.

  • if its a house cat then why was animal control recording it from the safety of his cruiser?

  • that is a cougar! house cats tails do not look like that!and you can tell by the head and paunch

  • its my cat...very friendly named tuffy...shoulda gave em sum bacon..

  • That's a house cat. YOu must be hight to say it's a cougar!

  • That is a cat because I have been up close to a cougar and that is a cat half of its tail is gone

  • umm thats not a cougar thats a regular cat

  • I work as an animal care taker at a zoo, we have bobcats and cougars, and that my friends is a house cat.

  • @rhymath Exactly. Cougars do not have white on the tail.

  • What a scary looking house cat. lol

  • If that was a cougar, the legs would be moving slower or it would be covering more distance walking that fast.. Not to mention the the tail is too short for a cougar.

  • I remember hearing about one being by my house when i was younger i was afraid to be outside at night. :D

  • bobcats do NOT have tails

  • I remember that, wasn't that supposed to be a liger? haha, it was a big deal.

  • thats a bobcat

i remember when we had a couple of them roaming the Heights.

  • @113stDFX9900 all the doubt in the world thats NOT a bobcat. Bobcats have no tail, Hence the name bobcat. Here in northern michigan, the bobcat is a common sight and i know for 100% thats not a bobcat. It appears that its just a very large house cat. Ive seen cougars in canada and they move with much greater stealth and elusiveness. Just a cat

  • No it's a bobcat. Look at the hind legs. No doubt a bobcat.

  • It's a cougar. But an unhealthy starved cougar. Look at the poor joint movement in the legs. Short and deliberate movement. This cat needs a few good meals and a warm den. He won't find it in the suburbs.

  • bobcat for sure, the tail was way too short to be a cougar.

  • There are cougars in Michigan, however, I would bet my house this is a bobcat.

  • Since when does a Bobcat have a tail?

  • That looks like a bobcat.

  • No, I think it's a Siamese domestic cat, don't worry though, it'll tear your head off, no different than a tiger.

  • Is it a fucking Cougar, or what? That is like 100 yards from my house. In fact I think you can see my house in the video!

  • That was a cougar. There have been many sightings up in the u.p. and sleeping bear dunes. a "house" cat would not have been visable in vid too small at that distance.

  • It's a stray cat. Tail is way too short for a cougar and it's gait is more like a house cat, also the coloring and hair is wrong for a cougar.

  • Definite house cat!!

  • HOUSE CAT!!!

  • I live here in michigan myself and hunted all over the state and never seen one. I also know that they spotted one last night up north and they do have it on camera but its way larger then the one on this video. the one on this video looks like a house cat. Im sure we have them here hideing but if it was a couger im sure i would have seen it on ch 4 or 7news and in the news paper since its less then 40miles from me.

  • i was visiting michigan for vacation couple days ago and i was in the garage and i saw a cougar run past the driveway so yea

  • house cat

  • cougars exist in Michigan. It is the police department that deny all sightings. If they allowed the sightings they would have to be able to contain them, which will cost millions. sounds like a great idea in this economy. so they do exist, but the government wants to save money.

  • I don't know of many police that will take the time to film a house cat. The cougar in this film has a pretty large set of hind legs, not very many house cats have that type of stance. My mom is a vet in that area and she sees cougars quite often. Maybe I should post some pics of the dogs and cats she gets brought in that were pulled into trees and half eaten. House cats certainly have that type of raw power haha.

  • ummm, can you say house cat?

  • thats no flippin house cat

  • I call him fluffy the cougar. his favourite food is meow mix.

  • I saw a cougar or mountain lion further north, Alpena, MI. Shit you not clear as day, the thing ran out in front of me while in my car, had to have been 6-8ft long... Absolutey no doubt about it!

  • I LIVE IN ALPENA. it's an awesome town huh. but anyways ya i heard about that. But i heard that the cougar got hit by the car on Long Rapids Rd. Everyone was talking about how people say there are no cougars here but after that they changed their minds real quick. I saw the picture of it. it's pretty big

  • A House Cat

    Thats Michigans Cougar

  • I think it is a young juvenile cougar. If you look at the brush in the background, look at the tree's etc, it is proportionate with a young cougar. The tails do not get full length till they are fully mature. If you look at the hind end, it looks jacked up, like it recently had a growth spurt. Just as horses grow unevenly, so do other animals. A nervous animal will not walk normally. If I read correctly, this animal had been struck by a car, so it is going to walk differently or nervously.

  • So, yeah, that's a housecat.

Look at the tail. Look at how it walks.

    NOT COUGAR.

And I am not one that believes that cougars don't live in Michigan just because the DNR says they don't ... I KNOW they do ... but this is not one.

  • That isnt a cougar it is too small.

  • man i remmber this day

i wsa in 6th grade 3 years ago it was some freeky shit

  • oh BTW a Cougar has black fur at the end of its tail, and its tail is alot longer than this cats tail..i dont think this is a cougar, or atleast not a full grown one.

  • I think that is just a ordinary big house cat, but The DNR has confirmed here in michigan that they have Taken hair samples from a car bumper and confirmed it to be cougar.

  • Deffanitly a stray, doesnt move like a cougar at all plus if you look it up cougars tails are just as long as their bodys are and this one isnt even half its body length. I have heard of cougars in Michigan but i'm 100% sure this isnt one of them!

  • i heard exsperts determined this is a stray cat due to the movement of the tail. it is not correct for the cougar. i do think they are here in michigan but not in this video

  • thats a stray cat

  • savethecougar dot org

all kinds of Michigan cougar sightings

  • o thats cool i want to go to Sterling Heights

even more now then the frist time...

and i live im Michigan so i can
