This seemed like a fairly dangerous situation to be in on a safari, unless they know the temperament of their elephants. She clearly wasn't saying hello, her ears were out, also her toe drag is clearly not inviting.

Looks like this elephant has already vitnessed these jeeps for long time from her child hood, so doesnt feel threatend. but when this elephant is mother of young new born, thing are different, but not in this case.
Baby was checking for milk under the jeep, meanwhile mom is keeping kool and guaging the situation.
This Elephant is a meture mom, the way she pulled her baby back into the heard, simply nice. usually moms dont let soo close
she wasnt coming up to introduce you to her baby she was putting up a defense. I dont know if you noticed how her ears were opened up, but that was her showing you not to mess with her and her baby because you guys were interfering their territory.

People are so dumb and that's how they get killed. They think it's not serious when the camera guy told the dumb lady in the front - don't move. So interested in taking the stupid pictures. They could have easily been killed or had the elephants killed. Don't move means don't move when you are next to such a large animal, especially with a baby.

don’t try getting this close to the Asian elephants ( specially when a cub is around)
coz they are much more aggressive compared to their African relatives
