  • Even though it is a skier only resort, snowboarders can ride the mountain you just can't ride the lifts. So make the one run ya got worth it. Hope you know where the goods are. Ski patrol has better things to do than chase boarders down.

  • @ericlhudson If you want to see Alta it's easy hike to the top of Wolverine Bowl from Brighton. You can even drop in. No amount of ski patrol could stop me. I would shove his ski pull, up his ass, if he got in front of me. Alta only exist because Utah has ten resorts with in a hour. If Alta was not so close to the Bird they too would allow snowboarding. I think Alta was the first to allow it on their lifts in Utah.

  • Well i mean the kind of skiers that hate on us. im sure you know the kind im talking about. and yea board resort wouldnt make sense.

  • how old are you 15?

  • even thought I hate skiers who go to anti-snowboarding resorts, i must admit that skier got balls the size of cannons running from that avy. I wouldve been shitting my pants!!!

  • holy shit. i was there like 2 days ago! not on baldy but near there. wowowow

  • that was badass, was anyone killed

  • man I wish I would've been there. That's huge why the heck were there guys anywhere below that thing when they set it off? I hope one of those goes accross the road this year so we get snowed in. tha'd be sweet!

  • Those hit the road ALL the time throughout various parts of the canyon.

  • yo man I was there that day, and damn was that ever big... so cool to see... march break!

  • OMg I have seen avalanches before but not like this, that would be pretty neat to see

  • Wow, I just saw this on the Fox L.A. News; it's June 9.

He said no Injuries; Is that report correct?

  • Yeah, no injuries. This was a controlled avalanche, so the slopes below were closed. The guys running ahead of the cloud below the avalanche were coming across the trail below where the snow stopped.

  • the biggest avalanche at alta of the 06-07 season!

  • when did that happen?

  • Sunday, March 4, 2007
