  • great stuff here! but as any guitarist knows...you're supposed to make sure your guitar is in tune BEFORE the song! the beginning is really hard to get thru. guess it gives it that live, gritty sound.....

  • Liverpool sound.

  • Look up the seachers vs the rattles.....good stuff..

  • FANTASTIC GEM!!

  • a super live band!

  • Great song (love of my life).

What does that sound like to you? Doors, 13th floor Elevators without the wobble board? Searchers? Can't exactly place it, but there's similar sounding bands I'm sure. Great garage sounding song.

  • Yes, you're right about "Love of My Life" having a real garage sound. So CoooL!

  • I think C'mon & Sing sounds like the Dave Clark Five.

  • Danke f.d.video ! grosse Klasse !!!

  • Dear Friend, many thanks for posting this extremely rare video from my favorite German Beat-Band.And "Love Of My Live" is my favorite Song from this group.I have 1993 with them together on a great open air festival in Germany played. There are awesome guys.Greetings to Henner Hoier,Dicky Tarrach and Herbert Hildebrand.

    Peace....Manni

  • Hi, glad you like the video. "Love Of My Love" is a great song, especially hearing it live. The Rattles rock!!!!!!!!

    :-)

  • I remember The Rattles. They were German(I know they are singing in English) They played at the Star Club in Grosse Freiheit St.Pauli, Hamburg Germany. They went to the Cavern in Liverpool, of course. The German groups and Liverpool groups used to commute back and forth.

  • Kathie, thanks for sharing these wonderful memories. These were great times!

    :-)

  • Thanks Tunenito. Yes, they sure were great times. I was born in Liverpool and I used to go to the Cavern club during those early mersey beat years. Amazing times and great memories

  • They look good - better looking than the Beatles for sure - and they know how to rock but the material and the lead voices are nothing special. I can see why most of us have never heard of them.

  • Interesting point.

I like that they're playing good, raw, hard rock 'n roll. They sound pretty cool for 1966.
