Allright, Sparky! Bravo! One of my favorite Bach pieces! There's a vid on Youtube of Richter playing it on the organ in Ottobeuren that must be heard to be believed.
you know i never say this but why would 6 people dislike this??..they dont like the piano? they dont like music? they dont like people who can play music??
it must be my neighbor that disliked this 6 times.
Very nice work. Allthough with stops, it flows . I want to ask, do you [or ANYBODY] know if this "Weiss's" arrangement is the best [if you can say so] ? I mean the most accurate or with the most original text contained :S . .
Nice play. Well, I practice another transcription by Sato. He recorded it by himself (I bought the mp3 from the Internet). It's an awesome transcription (In the performer's view, Sato removes some voices, but the effect are much better. I mean, that version is musch suitable for the performance). Maybe you can try to practice that transcription.
1:35 . Good idea with that. I just can't press that key because it is too far (I had to press the C, some other key and G, that is two octaves lower). I'll check that way out.
I tried. Pretty hard, but it's the best to play the G key in that place which is in 1:35
As an organist this is one of my favorite pieces of Bach to play. And I must admit that this piano version is beyond my expectations. There were some minor mistakes, but even then you've done great !
Hey, well done! As I use to play the original version for organ, I know about the huge amount of notes which are to play :P . I don't know if I was able to play them all without using my feet :D - respect. Keep practising this wounderful piece, make sure you use the right finger for every note. On day you might even be able to play it by heart - wouldn't that be nice?
I've been trying to find a video of this on here being played on pipe organ. There's the Stowkowski orchestral arrangement but besides that and this I think that's it. Its cool to hear it on piano, though. :D Its actual name is 'Passacaglia & Fugue in C Minor', right?
It translates to piano well. Has anybody added a video of Toccata & Fugue on piano? I've heard Stokowski's famous orchestral arrangement (which was featured in Disney's "Fantasia") but I've never heard it played on piano.
Also, unrelated question, have you ever heard of double-manual (two keyboard) pianos? Two keyboards of 88 keys, one right above the other, and set back slight, ala a pipe organ. They're unusual, but they do exist. Liberace owned one. Is anybody still building them?

Thanks! I didn't play the fugue, so I didn't call it that. (I did reference the full name in the full description of the video.)
