Your generation isn't the only one that had great music!

  • oh man what is this song playing through it?

  • Comment removed

  • Pete Townshend described it best,"Bunch of naked hippies rolling in the mud. Fuck it."

  • What is this song? It's so nice and happy :')

  • first ever ipod ad @ 2:47

  • I am 17 years old and live in the 21st century! Sometimes I dream I was 17 in the 60s in the U.S.!

I would probably have said I was bisexual in order to avoid Vietnam!

Then I will travel to paradise ... Where all the the angels tripped on drugs, alcohol, inspired by romanticizing and the legendary music. I was born too late .. Woodstock would've Been Great!

  • @AgainstYTubePolicy17 you could have shot your foot off you allready shot your mouth off!

  • @atfatw Blablabla ... I could being shot, raped and blablabla .. All generations have their negative sides and times! I have no idea what your fucking problem, so I guess you're a bitch who is 60 years! I suppose you were a stoned 20-year-old who had a miscarriage when you were a hippie .. That's probably what you remember .. Or what the hell do I know!? I do not give a shit anyway .. Shut your fucking comment up!

  • @AgainstYTubePolicy17 amusing imbecile! woodstock sucked fool! nasty stryknine acid, poop everywhere including the overflowing toilets poop on top of poop,

no food ,no water exept contaiminated cow pond, hideous sound system if you had the foresight to drop some good acid the awfull drunken mistake making bands and the crummy sound system would have sounded like the music of the gods to you but as is the way of all fools you'd rather be out of touch with reality than alive!

  • @atfatw I didn't said it was perfect..But it's better then reality! Of course if you take up all the negative sides of that time, each generation has a hell .. But I think the reality is overrated! But that's just me ..

  • @AgainstYTubePolicy17 LOL!!!!!!!! I'll say its just you! thats gotta be the dumbest thing yawl evah said

  • @atfatw I was a bit sarcastic .. Why would you only find garish at all times if you feel almost the same for generations ..

  • krisna..krisna

  • I caught myself just sitting and smiling, sometimes I wish I could experience the hippie-era :)

  • Those were some troubled times and a lot of people thought Woodstock was some terrible event, but I think it was more of an awakening. America was forced to look at itself, to face the social issues of the time. Social issues will always divide us, but each decade after Woodstock, some of those barriers slowly slipped away. Its been a long road and we have a ways to go yet, but I still have hope that one day we will see people for who they are, just people.

  • @sgtcook1 are you kidding!?! people suck they ain't worth the clay they were created from

  • canned heat did this song guys grate band lissin to them

  • @mcrenren2 canned heat converted to islam they all did poor fools!

  • @atfatw what the hell dos that have to do with any thing i said

  • @mcrenren2 its a real shame how heroes from the past all do stupid things which don't do their renown any good

  • not a single fuck was given that day

  • all those tales of public sex and inside-the-car-sex-where-they-thought-no-one-could-see was all a load of malarkey too high to do anything @GreenGatis

  • thumbs up if you thing woodstock rules !!

  • @sk8taras Fuck you.

  • this song is in skate 3

  • Since there's SO much anger, violence, racism, sexism, war, fights, fear, pain, hate, mockery, technology, rapes, murder, lies, greed, economiccrises, depression and selfabsorption today, I think the logical thing to come is somekind of hippierevolution. It'll probably be quite different, I don't think it wil ever be like the 60's again, but we will go back to a simple life. There's only so much pain a humen can take. So what I'm trying to say is: Hang in there, the others will follow us soon.

  • @bringembla Brilliant....I certainly hope you're right :-). It's about time! Wish all humans could go back to simple living...

  • This it was life!!

  • Fuck Times have changed too much...

  • hit like if your hippie in 2012

  • Please let someone build a time machine so I can go there.

  • i wonder how many babies were conceived that weekend, lol.

  • @krysology Apparently 2 were born. :P

  • 500,000 people showed up , good thing they were all white. Imagine what would happen if they were black

  • @Blahblobify they weren't all white you stupid person, black people have more common sense than white people. Shut the hell up you racist bastard.

  • @Blahblobify Take it from me, i was there! Yes, it was a fantastic blending of all races, nationalities and we even had a few nuns! We all got along and loved one another as brothers. It was one big family of peace, love and music! There wasnt even one fight!

  • @horsenaround

LOL@ "a fantastic blend of all races"....the videos show a different story, it was 99% white with a handful of mexicans and maybe 5 negroes.

  • @horsenaround you were there? how about all that public sex? how prevalent was it and where was it? it sounds like another urban myth to me.

  • @atfatw When i was there, i didnt see any sexual acts, but what was going on under those blankets, i can only guess! Most were either just sitting around stoned or walking around and dancing.

  • When you really think about it the hippie movement was just a failed fad, it's like any type of trend that has occurred since then, that was the first time there was a real trend like that so people think it's all magical and amazing but not really, they didn't accomplish anything. They all went back to their jobs, forgot about "the cause" and disappeared. The only thing that came from it was great music.

  • @lepricon989 thats incorrect the hippies helped influence alot of movements happening at that time, the anti war movement, the civil rights movement and toehrs, also they brought on the sexual revolution, dont you like that its okay now in society to have sex before marriage, yeah thank the hippies for that!

  • @whcliamlover14 No, actually some people hate that its okay now in society to have sex before marriage and don't fail to blame the hippies for that. It baffles me consistently how people can be proud of having created a barren, addicted, depressing wasteland of single-parent homes and STD's. But that's the power of sheer belief, I guess.

  • @lepricon989 and Also not all hippies grew up and became yuppies, many continued to passs on their hippie beleifs and still practiced their customs, also unlike most modern fads before hippiedom became popular culture (its wasnt even coined as "hippiy" until later into the movement) it was centered on natuarlism, self respect, exploration, creativity and anti connsumerism, beleifs that would help current society a whole bunch.

  • @lepricon989 If 50,000 people thought it was hip to become vegetarians, be individuals and not support the gross coorperations that control our lives, rather then 50,00 people spending 24$ on Hollister tshirts made by impoverished children in third world countries, there is really no wrong in that movement.

  • man i really wish i could been there. im 15 now so im too young, but if i could. maybe im going to organise my own woodstock 69 just with coverbands or something. i feel like a young hippie, but i wish i was an old hippie by now.

  • Man, I should really get off you tube and make a change, create some kind of fusion of jazz and psycadellic rock, with 12 bar blues and power chords sprinkled on the top. I will give a new perspective on rock'n'roll and what it means to be free through music. Our songs will be dedicated to peace. We will all rise and break away from the image this governed culture has portrayed us to be, a clog in the economic wheel........I would all of do this, but it's alot easier watching you tube videos. :(

  • How can a Woodstock vid turn into an argument? I guess I'm old and still go for that peace and love stuff.

  • What song is this?!

  • Comment removed

  • @figarominhest It's Canned Heat singing "Goin' Up to the Country".

  • dude gnarly yellow bus!!

  • hippies

  • HERE COMES WOODSTOCK 2012!

  • We see truly cool edgy young people who had pure and honest personal style.

  • God FUCKING bless the MASSIVE.

  • @Kostly You're an asshole.

  • What they don't show is all the hippies who looked like shit and didn't shower for weeks. I asked my dad if he remembered wood stock since he was 23 around this time. He just chuckled and said "Ya the wood stock of my M1 Garand!" Oh they also don't show them spitting on and throwing rotten tomatoes at our own troops, because they ALL wanted to be in Vietnam fucking idiots, theres a difference between a rebellion and ignorant people listening to music high on lsd and pot and disgracing our troops

  • @HASSON454 Oh yeah, because showering is the pinnacle of being human. What'd we do before showers dumb fuck? What? Did your daddy invent the shower? Is that what you're gonna tell us, big man? Sounds like daddy was a bench warmer. I bet you got all kinds of money and no worries do you? My dad was a troop. He earned a purple heart. Your words are trash. Every person who reads them should ridicule you and shout you down. Because you are GARBAGE.

  • @Kostly really thats what you took away from my comment is just showering. and what the fuck you want a cookie because your dad got wounded. oh and my bench warmer dad was in the battle of hue(look it up you ignorant fuck). oh and not thats its any of your business i get $21,000 a year which isn't a coincidence that its also a salary of an PFC. you and your incoherent comments can go fuck themselves you dipshit.

  • @HASSON454 Less QQ more pew pew. I did my stint as well. So now what? We gonna go back and forth here? I have a long family history of military service, bud.

  • @Kostly Big deal, you volunteered, Your choice.

  • @HASSON454 You're probably a conservative fucktard, too. I wouldn't be surprised if you voted for the shit for brains George Bush. THanks for playing nimrod cunt.

  • @Kostly and your a liberal jive turkey who voted for the spear chucker Obama. The fucks your point? I'm done with your incoherent rambling thoughts you moon cricket.

  • @HASSON454 AHHHHAHAHAHAH I got you pegged you little piece of ignorant shit stain. Off with your fucking head. THat's what I do....I chop heads, son. Consider yourself decapitated.

  • Comment removed

  • @HASSON454 Oooooh I'm so scared. A PFC?? HAHAHAHAH You stupid dipshit. it was a figure of speech and tongue in cheek at that. I don't expect you to know what that is because you're an intellectual ZERO. We're done here.

  • @HASSON454 @Kostly

Alright alright let's just settle this. You're BOTH equally retarded. Happy now?

  • @Kostly Exactly, what I'm talking about incoherent rambling thoughts, you don't decapitate people, anymore than virgins who have sex. That comment and the way its worded is the thought process of a 13-year old. I will not argue with you anymore. Because your and Idiot who will just drag me down to your level and beat me with experience.

  • En ese recital woodstock 1969 falta Charly Garcia say no more un poco de historia del padre del rock latinoamericano

  • Oh, how much i miss this music!! this music was in our souls, it was part of who were were back then. It surrounded us with peace in our selves and joy in our hearts and we were so free to express our feelings towards each other, the music, the world, the establishment! It was a wonderful era that i was so privledged to be a part of! We wore wild clothing, flowers in our hair, painted flowers on our legs and went barefoot or wore roman sandals, beads etc. it was a whole new culture!

  • For you all saying they wish they experienced something like this, you still can. Some psytrance festivals host an ambience close to woodstock (sure its not 5 million people) but the idea is there. The idea of freedom, of no judge, the legacy of marijuana, all together as one big family.

  • hey guys...im 17 years old....i love Woodstock times, Hendrix, music, Jack London, w33d etc etc..OMG all this pics are ULTRA MEGA beautiful, .....I envy all of you who have experienced these years.i can suck today all Biebers, commercial radio shits, corrupt society, ...

  • @JanHajnik Then protest what you hate today. Dont buy the modern music and get your friends into the good music of the 60s. The music from this era makes such a statement of freedom, peace and love and it allows a person to be an individual and be free to be who they are and show everyone what they feel. Its wonderful music that could be brought back. That is where you have to start to change things from the way they are today. Its a culture you have to change.

  • @JanHajnik i completly agree. :)) im 17 and just now i thought the same <3

  • I know it probably isn't but is that George Harrison at 1:40 lol.

  • I wish there could be something like woodstock... But these days no one would have peace :/

  • @boaltjeh You got that right! All you have to do is read the above posts to see why it wouldnt work today! Such hatred within everyone soul and no tolerance towards anyones point of views on anything.

  • FUCK that would of been a hoot n holler

  • 0:26 What song?

  • @Yourmomathon ....It's "Going Up The Country" by Canned Heat....also listen to "On The Road Again" by them....another good song.

  • i love the nurse.... peace and love

  • why was i born so fkn late!!!! I WANT HENDRIX

  • Comment removed

  • there could ever be another woodstock times have changed to much, it would be ruined with pop techno and rap music,it would be little about the music and more about the headliners guess i can only dream about how insane it was back in a time were it was all about the music love peace and getting high

  • @beachbabe363 yeah there was 2 woodstock consert reunions but there not the same it was in the 90s

  • @beachbabe363 true dat, look up the other woodstock attempts... i think there was one in the 90s that ended in a riot, and i think Britney spears was actually there... so ur right, if there was actually another woodstock that lady gaga or Drake or some shit would show up and ruin the whole fucking thing!

  • my lord there disgusting what are they

  • @funzzer123 Social, nice people who live the way they think is right. And it is.

  • Woodstock took place 21 one years before I was born. I am 21 right now. Yeh, we gotta have a Woodstock 2012....

  • what song is this??

  • @MouthOfTheUnknown Going Up The Country by Canned Heat

  • This stuff has been replaced by EDM, Electric Zoo, UMF

  • this was a better time

  • i would have been awake for three days straight

  • If I could choose only one time trave surel would be woodstock '69.

  • Got freedom , Got peace, and got high yippeeee!

  • My father remembers this event very well he was born and raised in Bethel, NY & grew up in a ranch house on laymon road about a mile or two from where the concert happened. He was 17 at the time this was the summer before his senior year of high school. The town was SHOCKED at all the thousands of people coming in! This is surely one event he will never forget in his lifetime or anyone else who was at the festival or the people who lived in the Bethel, Ny area area back then.

  • @fgjfdgjf I was there! Im 58 and it took place when i was in the 11th grade at high school. I lived in Ct so i ended up going too. It was a fantastic wonderful time that i know will never be able to be copied again. It was more than just the music, it was a culture!

  • @horsenaround

    WOW... !! :-)

  • @horsenaround i envy you.

  • We should have another woodstock but do it right not like that 94 shit but a bunch of people doesn't have to famous just get together guitars or any instruments jamming out to love and peace leave your cell phones and stuff alike at home.

  • what is the name of the song :D

yea i love the way those old skool camera kick ass ;D

  • @EasyRiderRomar

Going up country - Canned Heat

  • In the end it makes me think how can this happen again? Why is everyone dreaming a time-machine...

  • lets have another concert like woodstock in memramcook, nb, canada summer 2012!!!!!!!

  • hell yea man how all humans should be living... damn reptilian ruined everything man oh well peace and love

  • i need a time machine

  • @TheNoble1carter i'm thinkin the same :(

  • @TheNoble1carter Totally! if you get one let me know Lol

  • @TheNoble1carter a time machine and 91 condoms.

  • @diego59x back in the late 60's they didn't need condoms

  • @MetraMan09 LOL.!!!! xD

  • Comment removed

  • How i wish these Times come again.....

  • I dance like this in the street ;)

  • Sometimes we just have to stop and think about the good things in life and not worry about the little things. PEACE we need a new hippie movement!

  • @hollyp275 i agree 100%, i think that our generation needs to move towards legalizing marijuana, or decriminalizing it. cause the hippies of the olden days had experienced marijuana and other drugs when they were legal. and look at them, they all look like they had fun, there was peace and love everywhere in the states. our generation deserves to have that kinda fun because life is harder than ever with all the bullshit that's happening in the world. sometimes people just need to relax n havefun

  • @hollyp275 Im an old Hippie and i was at Woodstock! Youve got to get rid of that crap music you youth are listening to today! Rap, hiphop stuff will never start a new hippie movement. You need great music to get people to listen. the music has to have a message of protest. Bring back the rock music!

  • @horsenaround I would if i could~ I never listen to rap or hip hop, its dumb. but I will see what i an do, thanks :)

  • @hollyp275 Fuck that.

  • Woodstock my ass. The kids in these vids preaching peace and harmony is the currently generation in power who fucked up the country.

  • @PungiFungi your trippin....you weren't in the vietnam war or during that era and you will never know what it was like or about. My father was in the vietnam war enlisted and was a hippie

  • @1loveandlife , and what does being in the Vietnam War have to do with anything? Given the state of the country, it seems that generation either didn't pass on their values and beliefs to the next one, or abandoned them when they got older.

  • @PungiFungi better then gansters who think its cool to shot eachother in the street

  • @PungiFungi The young people you see here didn't f**k up this country, it was already f**ked up! And it has a whole lot to do with the bullshit generations that were born DURING the '60s, '70s, and now the '80s. I should know, I was born in 1976 and my generation was crap and so were the young people of the '80s before me and the generation that is currently turning the ages of 19, 20, 21, etc. All they know is how to drink and party.

  • fuckin great!!.. whats the name of this song? :-)

  • soo i hate my generation...and also wish i was born in the late 50s...im starting a petition to bring back stock....im tired of living today with an old soul...help me bring back the M.U.S.I.C- live free or die.

  • @sniper101recon

Dont feel to badly.. theres alot of old souls out there wishing the same thing.

  • @thegothicdolly333 right on man, i like you

  • i am fucking sad now.

  • Comment removed

  • Guys consider joining "The Psychedelic Community/Movement" on Facebook. It was made like 12 hours ago so it's still growing.

  • i would do soooooooo much lsd

  • yup, still got the groove on, i will always, like i mean it , Always be young ,a true seeker of the truth, for ever, dis here life and the next , where ever what ever plateau of existence it be, man, let go, live free , don't let it get you down, be at peace, i love you u all, yes you too!

  • what song was playing?

  • @converseR2kool4u Going up the country - Canned heat , I think

  • oh baby yeah. the way things really are.

  • lol ... i really think that hippies and the governments are either not a good way to live !! lol ... cmon guys ... Its getting ridiculous... Just the way your talking...its so extreme... I even think that its better to live in a government plan than a hippie plan XD ... god... But am still open to change this world :)

  • Proud to be a hippie. Fuck corporations. Fuck the government. Fuck the reptilians.

  • good times then music was born

  • we need woodstock 2012

  • @MrRocknroller1996 Make it happen.

  • @MrRocknroller1996 but most the bands within the last 10 years suck

  • @MrRocknroller1996 We need a time machine to let us go back to where we belong...BACK there. Nuttin against you. I just wanna be there. So much better :)

  • @MrRocknroller1996 ...nobody will leave his cell at home...

  • @MrRocknroller1996 It would never happen like it did in the 60's. Too many dumbass people now would start fights etc.

  • @MrRocknroller1996 and who would preform exactly ? Gaga ? Dream on...

  • @MrRocknroller1996 who would play?

  • @Stabiiliize we could even get tribute bands to play of course :)

  • @eriick0911 omg that would be awesome! im trying to make a band and i've already learned 6 of hendrix's songs

  • @MrRocknroller1996 we need to just go back to living as we did in the 60's all together. it is so sad living today

  • @MrRocknroller1996

    "Przystanek Woodstock " : )

  • The hippy movement was the biggest surge of culture in American history. Had everyone accepted it, America might actually have some culture in it today...

  • shut the fuck up assholes

  • @ifuckinJB Its people like you with all that hatred in your soul that would stop another Woodstock from happening today! You come into a peaceful conversation and try to make trouble! What are you trying to prove, how much of a jerk you can be? Maybe youre the one who should shut up since you obviously have nothing intelligent to say!!

  • DIE HIPPIES DIE!!!!!!!!!!eric cartman

  • We succeeded at peace once, but it can never happen again, the Man has gotten to powerful and would shoot us in an instant if we all got together. Or some drunk idiots would ruin it all for us.. Having another Woodstock in the next couple years (so I could go!) would be fantastic. But I don't think we could pull off 3 days of peace and music because of the reasons above. Let us just be glad it happened, that we put aside our differences for 3 days and listened to the music.

  • @LunaticWalrus98 I'm afraid you're right. Another Woodstock would bring out a bunch of violent fools like those in the "Occupy Wall Street" gangs. I've about given up on this country. I'm kind of withdrawing into my own little world, in the past.

  • @TheShooter1946 I tried to follow the Occupy thing but I don't think it's going anywhere... A little 60's world all to yourself.. Seems like the best thing to do for people that are fed up with the way this country is run and how crappy most of the music is... You sir/ma'am are smart and I shall do the same.

  • @LunaticWalrus98 It works for me. I hope you find peace too friend.

  • @TheShooter1946 Me too, and thanks

  • @LunaticWalrus98 The Occupy movement is actually getting massive, sprouting up in hundreds of cities all over the country and even over seas. Over 100,000 protesters marched & shut down a major port in Oakland California on October 15th. Any time that many people gather politically the feds are going to take notice. We could change the world.

  • @StratoBlaster420 OWS has no purpose and is a violent bunch of thugs operated by unions. Rape, vandalism, murder etc. is common within their ranks. They claim the want jobs but destroy the businesses that hire people. It's nothing like the hippie movement of the 60s that proposed peace and an end to the Vietnam war.

  • @TheShooter1946 Wow, turn off the mainstream media, you fool. This movement has been almost entirely peaceful. These people are trying to send a message to the government telling them corruption won't be tolerated. Our voices are being ignored over lobbying. What are you doing to stop corruption? Don't bitch when your country files bankruptcy on it's 15+ Trillion dollar debt and your dollars are worthless. You might sound like an OWS protester.

  • @StratoBlaster420 You're saying those things haven't happened? You're a blind fool.

  • @TheShooter1946 Wake the fuck up! This is a global movement. Open your eyes and realize it's trying to help this planet or just shut the fuck up and get out of the way. Only a brainwashed, fascist piece of shit would oppose a movement trying to help 99% of all Americans get their voices heard in politics.

  • @StratoBlaster420 You're not smart enough to debate anything. You're a fool and you'll never amount to anything and will spend your whole life letting the government support you. Doesn't it bother you to know that when you die no one will care, not even your family?
