  • how much it cost?

  • VERY POWERFUL COMBINATION!!!! also for live acts!!

i got them both now!!! SUUUPER*

  • the sound is a bit off in this video

  • Likeity like like.

  • unstopple force man :) this 2 rocks

  • To bad the mini-kp lacks in power, when you play live and loud it falls short, never the less, they are great and fun to play with.

  • I fell asleep to this : ) so calming

  • seriuosly if i keep watching theese videos i'm going to make korg alot of monet buying everything in the kaoss series

  • @TTDitmanthing : lol, exactly what happened to me...

  • could i use one of these with my guitar for the lulz?

  • @worstgamereva

    Kaosspad 3

  • @worstgamereva yes you could in face use your guitar with it "for the lulz". you'll probably need an amp though.

  • @worstgamereva indeed you can.

  • nice sounds,great!! :p

  • hey, nice work here... feeling the vibe with what your making :)

  • very kool,i want one,im guna trade my microkorg in to get one

  • @dinoblackgrape the microkorg is so amazing. don't ever trade it. its totally worth saving up and having both.

  • is it only me or are video and music out of sync?

  • which piece does what between the kp3 and the kaossilator?

  • @WillT23

The kaossilator is the little yellow one - this is a mini synth, very capable, can overdub itself to create multilayered loops, cannot save though. The KP3 is the big one and is an effects processor, it can apply numerous digital effects to any incoming audio (here from the kaossilator) and store them, loop them, re-sample etc etc, also this can connect to a PC or other midi equipment (I believe it has a few synth functions built in too). Together they make a good team.

  • @p1t1o thanks man. appreciate the good explanation.

  • this is amazing.

  • 28 people hate music

  • beginning sounds like shittttttttt

  • good!!!

  • can you hear the clip, or set it?

  • is there a chromatic sc ale on the k pro? for the dumbasses that dont know what a chromatic scale is, its a scale that hits all notes? including all accidentals.

  • Running the Kaossilator through the KP3 is like dividing by zero. Complete Kaoss.

  • fuckin A man. now you got me seriously thinkin of gettin a kaossilator too

  • just got my kaoss pad mini and was playing along with your track strange world we live in

  • It's funny because im 13.

  • @MRbandofficial shut the fuck up. why is it that all pre teens have to state their age on youtube. i swear to god thats the only time i see that. SHUT UP BITCH!!!

  • @heyshutupyou I'd listen but last I heard, 13 wasn't pre teen.

I was merely trying to convey my amazement at these products.

    Now if you don't mind...

  • i can't wait to get my KP3 and Kaossilator!

  • His precision in playing notes on the kaossilator is actually really impressive. That thing isn't easy to navigate notes on....

  • @Onewerdy He is amazing. It takes a violinist's skill to hit the right notes even on the Kaossilator Pro. I believe notes don't exactly correspond to the 8 rectangles across the screen; they are a useful guide and measure but not perfect. It helps that you can pick a major or minor or other scale that you want, avoid all the sharps and flats you don't want.

  • I have the small one now, but I want to get the Pro as well to hook it up to. Eventually a Korg Triton too.

  • Love this!

  • the kaossilator is the synth, the kaoss pad had the post-effects, right?

  • computer music... yeah

  • Hey DENKITRIBE, can you do infinite loops on kp3 like the kaossilator pro

  • @Vinvolve no... you have to Resample to overdub a bank

  • @Vinvolve Im pretty sure yes....

  • Comment removed

  • hey dude what kind of speakers would you recommend for the kp3?

  • So I take it kaossilator plus the kp3 isnt a good combination judging by this video.. thx.

  • @dauntSilver Whats your problem? This is OK with what the guy is using...Its impressive for a quick fuck about with a cheap synth and effects processor!! If you want to make "proper" tunes your gonna have to splash out a bit more for some" proper" synths.

  • this video has convinced me to purchase one

  • do u know where to get loops for the kp3?

  • some serious minimal electro house, me likes.

  • everything is vibrating :-)

  • ok that is fucking cool.

  • esta de putamadre!!!!

    dj hada

  • What kid of cables are those in the back of your KP3? The cable I have right now works, but the effects aren't as deep as I'd like them to be.

  • Duo de Kaoss... only the name sound so Kool ! :D

  • Pendulum - Slam could be easily recreated with the synth sound from 3:22

  • @Marci124 why though?

  • @Alexand3rS

Because I think its similar to the one they use.

  • @Marci124 i mean why would you want to remake such a great song?

  • Amazing sounds! Anyone knows any artists making such music?

  • @idazS buy a kp3 and a KO and make your own :P

give it a few months to get proficient in the use of each though.

  • nice - should be an add for those babies, it would get me (in fact it did but I still prefer the KP2's touchpad over the KP3's x)

  • Hey guys - I'm looking to start an industrial band with some friends, think a slight rip off of Skinny Puppy or Nails, with a Ministry feel (So an Industrial Metal band). I'm thinking of adding the KP3 or Kaossilator to our rig that we're still deciding on.

Anyone know if it might fit in? We were playing with it and got some cool effects at Guitar Center, but looking up videos - it's pretty much all techno and DJ works....?

  • freakin' awesome!

  • i know i just made a comment to the other video, but watching you perform is very inspiring...someday when i have money ill will do this too

  • haha, cool!

  • best tutorial of kaossilator+kp3....thnks!!!

  • I can't wait for my Kaossilator Pro...I'll sync it to my KP3, get 8 sample pads...maybe I'll connect my other Kaossilator to it too. Korg, keep making these outrageously creative gadgets!!!!

  • If you want good sample pads, m-audio do an amazing trigger finger sample pad,

  • I don't do MIDI...I like hardware instead of software...and the KOPro is going to kick some serious ass!

  • Ahh sweet :)

  • thats seriously grooooovie!

  • would i be able to do whats being done in this video, except with a roland sp-404sx instead of the kp3?

  • I'm playing this on my stereo and the bass line at :45 almost blew out the windows in my house...

  • @NuckingFutsKid ahahahahahahaha XD

  • @NuckingFutsKid hahahahahahahaha that rules

  • whats the difference in this vid between the kp3 and the kaosilator?

also im thinking about buying the kaosilator pro as my first synth (i blay a bit of bass) who i be better getting the original?

  • actually the small yellow kaossilator is a synth. try buying one and you'll find out.

  • wrong Wrong and WRONG! The Kaoss-series consists of both the Kaoss Pad(s) (1,2,3 and Mini KP) which is effectprocessors, and the Kaossilator, and soon Kaossilator Pro. The Kaossilator is a synth, which you play by taping the xy-pad. It has a number of built in sounds which you cannot change/edit. You are mixing up the Kaossilator and the Mini KP, wheres the Mini KP is a smaller version of the KP3. Read about them all at Korgs website.

  • @Turbotomte whatever works man...

Denkitribe does good work and unlike many compoers is prepared to show us how he does it - anything that sounds good works for me.

  • Impresionante!

  • this is SICK!!

  • i neeed thoseee

  • Kaossilator Pro has just been announced.

It's a Kaossilator in a KP3 case, with MIDI and sampling.

  • Tbh, it makes the kaossilator look crap. Kaossilator is like a creative sketch pad, where your ideas just disappear once you turn it off

With the pro, you can save them to an SD card or send them to your computer via usb. Its a big improvement, shame about the price tag though

  • Well they say it's like 4 Koassilators in one, so that'd explain why it's 4x the price!

  • KP3 is nothing like 4 kaossilators in one.. it's more like a mini KP with more effects and 4 looper tracks.

Kassilator pro is like a kaossilator with more sounds and 4 loopers ;)

  • Where did I say KP3?

We're talking about the Kaossilator Pro here!

  • oh ok.. i thought you were commenting on the video

  • Ye, but you can't take the kaossilator pro on the bus, or to the beach or what ever. And if you already own a kp3 and a kaossilator, it wont be That much difference. well a bunch of new sounds ofc.. And dont forget the AWESOME green looks! I want it just for that :(

  • well, now I know that the mario kart wii music was made on...

  • Fucking awesome

  • Wow

  • I hope you are getting royalties from Korg , I have just bought myself a Kaossilator, Mini-KP and a MicroKorg after watching your vids !!!

well done and keep posting :-)

  • @septemberSE7EN seriously me too, you should be getting royalties

  • Aaah man that was insane!

You just sold the Kaossilator for me!!

    The way forward for music ? ? ? ??

  • pretty much a really cool couple a tools! thanks for the show. enjoyed! =)

  • you hardly use the kp-3 it's just there haha

  • What are you talking about? Did you watch it all the way through? Besides, the entire drum pattern is from the KP3, you can tell when he cuts it.

  • not the entire drum pattern. you can see him create it at the start on the kaossilator

  • whoa calm down mate

  • You can just play like that for hours , can't you ! :) No need for CDJ's anymore !!!

  • AWESOME <3

  • kinda reminds me of the music from those old Sonic the hedgehog games lol xD i love it 11!!<3

  • skik you are a mazing i love this song

  • nice one.

    big up

  • its cool man, where yo from?

we have kaos + kp 3 too

  • Great! ;D

  • you a genius !!! i love it.

  • thats amazing

  • What exactly is the KP3's primary function. I get the kaossilator is just fun freestyle music creation, but what does the kp3 do that the kaossilator can't. Sorry, im new to this sorta thing.

  • @liveweyer kaossilator can do some much that you really can't tell you its primary function... that said hes mostly using it for effects and looping here as far I can tell

  • liveweyer; the kassilator is a synthesiser that creates music, where as the kp3 is an effects processor/looper which broadens the horizons on the music you've already created

  • the kp3 is much more of a serious dj tool than the kaossilator. the kp3 can do all sorts of loops, strange effects, and other little tricks

  • @liveweyer kp3s a sampler where as the kaossilators a synth.

    samplers sample shit

    synths make it up

... in layman terms (i guess)

  • does the kaossilator work on battery power aswell?

  • yeah :)

  • awesome, thats real handy! i can just make music everywhere i go :)

  • Is there a .mp3 for that song?

  • Are all those presets from Kaossilator in the KP3 too?

  • Is there something else that has effects and a sampler for under 500 $?

  • roland sp 404 is the best one you can afford under 500 $

  • Explain why KP3 is a piece of crap? I'm excited to hear ;)

  • no the kp1 or even kp2 is outdated... the KP3 has come as so far to even have an OS 2.0 update.

you, obviously, are to poor to own one, thus you are are a tool.

  • @ KaslarProductions

The KP2 actually has some sounds that are better than the KP3...and vice versa.....thats why u gotta buy them all ;) lol

  • really? i didn't know that.... thank you....

if i was to get just one of them which would it be? 2 or 1? cause i know i'm eventually getting another kp3 :) like beardyman(he uses four, wow)

  • I would reccomend the KP2 if u were going to get another. This and the KP3 will work well together.

The KP3 has much better sampling capabilities, but there is definately alot of good sounds/effects on the KP2 that will add to ur music :)

  • jolly good!

  • gotta get a kaossilator for my live setup, fo' sho'.

  • right now I'm trying to get a roland sh201 but these two have to be the next hardware I buy.

  • ableton live is great for thatjamieishungry. If you can use you inmagination you find it free ;)

  • Are there any effects on the Kaossilator?

    Or KP3 pad!

  • all the kaossilator is presets. KP3 has quite a few effects for midi control

  • can anyone tell me how to make these loops? or sounds?

  • buy a kaossilator. buy synth hardware. never use software (exept for Recording software)..

  • Yeah, but what recording software would you use for Kaoosilatir

  • anything that is Audacity or above. just don't use windows audio recorder or anything like that and you should be fine.,..

  • oh right i'm buying one now :)

  • cubase maybe?!

  • really dude??

  • how do i put the music played into the garageband and record it?

  • this guy is super

  • hi there, i have the kp3, i want to plug it to the dnx1500s send and return, how can i do this, i don't know if thewre is a cable for that, mono at the end of it/....

  • good work....nice 1

  • wtf this is awesome !

  • great! I will buy it :)

  • this sounds so radiohead :) I want one

  • This gets pretty nuts!

  • In wich slot of my mixer do i connect this?

  • any one of your channels

  • sonic shuffle on Dreamcast!!!

  • that's dope man, was not expecting anything like this from a kaoss... and in real time? very impressive!!

  • thats so sick, what nice sounds you can make with all these instruments from korg

I'm a bassplayer, but I think i'm going to start something new with all this synthproduct

I think I will buy me a Set of an Microkorg, Kaosspad and kaossilator ^^

  • i personally wouldnt buy the kaossilator... is not a real synth, is a funny toy to play with for a couple of weeks... it doesnt even have a midi interface in order to control it with an external source (as a keyboard)... and you cannot change any of the sounds, is just a sound bank inside of a tactile screen... the microkorg is a nice synth to start of, and the kaosspad is a nice complement to sample and do some sound processing

  • ya i wanan do the same i love korg and i already have the microkorg but idk what to plug tem into once i have them all?

  • A mixer. If you don't have/afford one, run the microKORG through the KP3 and just put a set of headphones into the KP3.

  • wow thats neat how to Korg products interact like that :)

    cool video

  • All we need is Samantha James' vocals. Good work.

  • I bought a Kaossilator yesterday and Im getting a really high pitched whine through the Headphone socket. Its not overly loud but it does annoy me when I try to loop

Ive tried basic iPod headphones and my Audio Technica ATH M50's

Any ideas or is this just a downfall?

Im running the unit using the batteries that I got with it and was maybe thinking that its some interference caused by the batteries?

Awesome vid, I cant wait to get a Kp3 ;)

  • so wat does the KP3 actually do

  • screws around with audio input, its an effects processor

  • everything the kaossilator does + more.

  • The KP3 isn't a synthesizer, it's an effects processor and sampler. It's the full version of the Mini KP, not the Kaossilator.

  • the kp3 is the sampler/effects prosessor and the kaossilator is the synth, (in this case anyway).

  • it's an effects processor.

  • Sounds great. Reminds me of Bomberman :O

  • how complicated is it to work these?

  • brilliant

  • Very Impressive!!

Got a KP3 myself, and seeing this just makes me wanna start it up and have some fun!!!

  • I've never used analogue snyths before, where should I start?

  • well, what musical experience do you have Clambo? Are you a piano player? are you just looking to get into music? Do you play another instrument?

  • b) looking to get into music

  • Ok so you have no prior musical experience? Alright if you'd like to get involved in synthesizers I very strongly suggest you enroll yourself piano lessons as many synthesizers use keyboards. The Kaosillator and Kaoss Pad would be good if you have no musical experience. Also if you have a Nintendo DS you could buy Korg's DS-10 synthesizer which they developed for the Nintendo DS. But yea get in some piano lessons they will really help in regards to synths. I hope this helped.

  • nice advice, cheers.

  • If you are making loop based music you don't need really need piano lessons to use a synth. Especially if you're using a program like Ableton.

  • its still a good thing to know

  • Maybe a few lessons in musical theory can help out.

  • i would like to learn more since im a newbie to this stuff im into music but i dont really know alot about Korg its products or any other synthesizers or whaaa im confusing myself this is how new i am @_@
