I have been living under stress for a long time and that stress has compounded recently. I had to leave work recently because my blood pressure was 170/110 with a pulse rate of 102. I find myself waking up just about every night with my heart pounding as if I have been running a marathon and eventually wake up exhausted. I have shared this all-important documentary to friends & family on Facebook in hopes to further educate the masses.
@heavenlybeast1 You are not alone. I have chronic stress& chronic pain. Single parent of 2; blue collar worker/you don't matter/can be replaced at any time...the stress of worrying about losing my job;thus no way to provide for my kids. Compounded by the chronic pain, can be unbareable at times.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video and I learned a lot. It's a real shame that humans in general are so arrogant and greedy for power and money that they would more than likely refuse to learn anything from the baboon troupe (studied in this video) about how to change society for the better so that many stressors would be eliminated. Humans are relentless when it comes to creating stress. Being at the bottom of the "food chain" at work is definitely one of the biggest stressors that exists.
I understand how social hierarchy (Nucleus of the group etc), why do we need genetic-evolutionary biologist-chemist to tell us something we already know
If i were president - grandma's intuition would trump prestigious scientific journalism
Stress is one of the most recognized factors of total health, and can be the elephant in the room when it comes to a variety of chronic diseases. Health professionals typically keep stress management to vague notions of "taking it easy", "try meditation", "sleep more"... while these textbook remarks fit standard of care of medicine, they still leave the average person no practical steps to live by. I think it's important to organize a practical, simple step by step approach that is personalized.
@arinehartdc Not just personalized! There is little we can do to change life at an individual level if major stressors are constantly at work in our environment. We all know that the major threat in our society is that of not having/making enough money. Fair distribution of resources is the only reasonable and long lasting solution.
@axilea67 true, but I extend that thought to my belief that we have power to change our environments, or at the very least make of the best of the environmental context we are given.
@axile distribute fair resources? yes that would solve everyone's problems but since that would never happen whats next in line? do what you love! work? stop working at a factory or office that you cant stand. Finding purpose leads to happieness. There it is, doing what you love as an occupation combined with daily exercise , meditation, eating healthy natural foods and more sleep = stress free life :) or at least ALOT less stress
@arinehartdc ahhh but there are steps you can take as an average person. First you learn everything from your mentor, which is your parents or guardian what they eat you eat, how they react to situation you do also and if there sad and are stressting you feel those vibes thus feeling the same. As you get independent you can learn the right way of living- eating healthy meditating, sleeping more, exercise etc. and teach those to ppl around you and your children
Stress: The confusion created when the mind must override the body's basic desire to choke the living shit out of some asshole who desperately deserves it! lol
yea.... when i asked senator john mcain for some help with his home state - he lied to the FBI and sent GOONS to my HOME and threatened - AT GUNPOINT - i mean pistons, shotgun and rifles - and almost, certainly could have, killed me and my two little daughters - STRESSS??????? Frickin'-A! Jesus... HOW DOES ONE DEAL WITH THAT? Really. ANY comments???

If you have a wife that is pregnant you need to make those 9 months the most stress free as possible. That means many back rubs and foot massages. :)

This is the closest to scientific proof that a Vegan compassionate world would reduce crime. That baboon study was compelling.
