people don't always choose to suffer, at least in this life time. sometimes it's just their situation. it's also difficult for many people to choose happiness for this reason. to me it's more about how i deal with all emotions whether positive or negative. that's true liberation to me.

Dalai Lama believes in "LOVE n' PEACE" and ended up losing his entire homeland to Cats... India believes in the policy of "Rising not above the world" but "Rising with the world" and suffers from terrorism supported by outside powers. There's limit to how much of the "Good deed" you can do before it becomes sign of your weakness (Tibbet), even when you're not weak (India).

I believe in karma. Something else I believe in is not bragging about myself. I've caught myself saying something about me is perfect and within days, something horrible happens. For example, in high school, I said something about my toes being perfect then, I stubbed one of them and the toenail turned black and fell off--it grew back, though. I guess that's just God's way of pointing out to me that I will never be perfect and when I think I am, He is going to remind me not to think that way.
I had the same difficulty trying to comment on his coming out video. I tried to add a second comment to my first one at least 7x, and it wouldn't allow me no matter how much I pared it down. I eventually just gave up. :-/ Damned youtube commenting system. pfft.
I like the philosophy surrounding karma, about our actions having consequences. I'm not so sure how real it is though or just wishful thinking. There are some very bad people that at least "appear" to succeed very well for decades and decades at the expense of others, meanwhile some genuinely good people that never seem to be able to catch a break in life. It certainly would be nice if there was some universal accounting system that sets wrongs right.
