  • thank you so much, Tasha for your incite. It's that kind of thinking that keeps killing dogs in shelters AND in puppy mills!. Every puppy "bought" (NOT rescued, btw) in a pet store sentences the mother and father to a short life of horrid conditions. Buying from a pet shop is NOT rescuing.

  • this is why we should buy them i hate it when people say "ohh thats sad dont buy a dog from a pet store get it from a adoption" we havent they all been rescued so shut up !

  • @emz0bella, the only way to know you are buying from a reputable breeder is to be able to view BOTH parents at the home or facility or adopt from a rescue

Thank you for caring enough to ask

  • does anyone know if puppies in england come from puppy mills? I havent heard of that happening here but the dogs in the pet shops here cant all come from reputable breeders?

  • @nbr26 do you see where you buy the puppys becuase ssometimes when you hire pepole to get te puppies they get them at puppymills. You could be right that your a "reputable breeder. I just dont belive in your a reptuable breeder for dogs Because my mom baught my rabbit at a petstore and he is 7 with no health problems and a lot of dogs from petstores are ill

  • It is wonderful that you are trying to help spread the word about the horror that is puppy farming, thank you for sharing your video, adopting a dog is a wonderful thing....I hope people can come to my page also to see some more rescue dogs in need. We are trying to support a dog rescue in Sydney Australia and would love people to watch the video and click the link in the description to help us by simply voting :-) THANK YOU SO MUCH

  • @nmbr26 - In Canada and the US, no reputable breeder sells to a pet store, period. Think about it......by the time a "reputable" breeder pays for the dogs they want to breed, get the health checks done, manage to breed the dogs, pay for all the prenatal vet care, the drugs, vitamins mom might need, all the vet care of the pups and shots, why would they take a loss in selling the pups to a petshop?

Me thinks you protest too much.

  • @Ninjaxfrog - actually, it is, That picture was from a puppy mill investigation.......

  • @lizamendell - there are no accidents, people "choose" to not have their pets altered and "choose" to allow them outside where breeding takes place. Responsible pet owners have their pets altered, period.

@narutoppgfan - Teaching kids about animals breeding is a cop out. If parents really want to teach their kids "the miracle of life", they should take them to the shelter and watch the "miracle of euthanasia" instead.

  • I do not think all pet stores deal in puppy mill dogs. I for one own a petstore in kerala india, we buy from reputed breeders and loving homes. All our animals and birds are very well taken care off. So stop being negative about all pet stores. We run it as a family business and every one here is an animal lover

  • Ok the 1 at 18 is not at a puppy mill

  • sorry, but there are no accidents, if they had spayed and neutered their pet.

There is no reason NOT to.

No respectable breeder sells to a pet shop, PERIOD!

  • I completely understand that puppy mills are bad, but not all pet stores use puppy mills! Some pet stores get most of there puppies from people that had accidents and have no where to take the puppies. Just remember that those puppies need a home too! Puppy mills are a disgusting thing that our generation has made but those dogs do not need to suffer also. Just research the place that you are buying from.. some places really do care about there pups!

  • SHELTERS PEOPLE!!!! I will never get a purebreed dog or cat unless its from a shelter

  • If you want a pet go to your local NO KILL shelter(: They have tons of pets all cute like the pet stores.

  • that was devastating.

  • there is nothing you can do to change the past, but you can learn from your mistake and never repeat it.

    Also, tell everyone you know.......

  • umm I didn't know about this and i bought a puppy from a pet store..what should I do?

  • @wondergirlsy do NOT give up ur new dog...that just results to another rescue dog in the world. there are so many already who need homes ♥

its not ur fault u didnt know about this...more people need to be educated about all this. but now u know. keep ur puppy...but never get another pet store puppy. rescue dogs are the best. get one of those next time :)

  • Never ever buy a dog from a pet store. Let's all break the cycle now. Stop the demand!

  • I love the idealistic photos, followed by the truth.. so many people buy / sell dogs online with pretty pictures most people don't know better. Thank you for posting.
