Does it work for Madden 08 in the xbox console? On my last playoff game I lost to the Bears when there was 6 sec remaining and I was ahead by a field goal. I could've scored a TD however by doing so i would give the bears plenty of time to tie the game so i decided to run the ball, go for three and let the clock run out. It didn't work since they still managed to complete a hail mary pass and win. If I could recover a couple of onside kicks every game I'd avoid those heartbreaking situations.

I hate this game My receivers never catch, my linesmen never actually do anythign constructive, the other team always manages to catch every throw and none of my defence actually do anything constructive in their zones to prevent a receiver. During kick returns they always somehow smash my guys out of the way and get 40 yards wheras mine block NOBODY and I get 15 yards - the AI its so fucking stupid and I cant even win on 'Pro' but if I drop to rookie I win 60 - 7 and its no fun....stupid

It is when your receivers have spaghetti fingers and cant catch, when your linesmen/LBs never shrug blocks and when the computer ALWAYS manages a lucky catch on third down. its stupid. I tried playing again and although it bullshited me by giving the computer 2 interceptions and a recovery and screwing me out on 2 time run outs - I still ended up infront by 21 - 16 - what happened? with 9 seconds remaining it manages to cheat a touchdown and a 2 pointer - it is programmed to bullshit you.

i just was in a game with the pats. playing the giants

4th quarter 21 seconds left on the clock on ALL-MADDEN

after just heaving a hail mary and SCORING on it. i got so happy. then i realized i was still down 43 - 40

so i looked at this video. did it. got my onside kick. and drove down field with tom brady. kicked a field goal. tied the game

went into OT won the coin toss.

then

bombed it to moss=)

NO! Your wrong twice stupid idiot. Once the defense touches it you can recover it anywhere. Plus the fact the guy who originally responded spelled it 'defence' which means he is from Canada and still knows more than you makes you embarrasingly stupid. Btw this trick still works in Madden 09

this is one of the ways to do it but you can also kick it very hard into the ground and the ball will jump and you will have a better chance of recovering
