The Charm of Shanghai

Brings back many memories for me, I lived there in 2006/2007, it is a fantastic city arguably one of the best cities in the world, Nice people, great food, beautiful city scape especially at night time, an awesome bend of east meets west.

However I went back last year (2010) looks very western now, I would like to see more Chinese culture back in the city and it not resemble any major city in the UK.

I know it an animal is an animal unless your a vegetarian you should'nt care what type of animal it is, you should be more concerned if it tastes good or not :D.

During the Franco-Prussian War, French meat market stalls had thriving business in cat, dog and rats. Being Chinese, I do think that eating dogs is horrible, but this happens very rarely, and western countries do eat sheep, cows and pigs. I know many people think that the inhumanity lies within the fact that dogs are very intelligent; but as a matter of fact pigs are smarter than dogs, and cows are capable of making friendships amongst themselves.

Im so angry on us Wester countries so many here think China is bad and like that and theres not many people eating dogs and cats in China. i am Chinese, i never ate cats and dogs. It's true that there are people in China eat them. There are 1.4 Billion people there, I am pretty sure, there's only very few people eat that.

I have friends from all over China...they 'all' say that the Shanghainese are no good assholes. I'm not saying that, I've never met a person from Shanghai...this is just what I've heard from all other Chinese, including HK and Macau...can somebody explain this???
