the suit is in fact displayed as a treasured piece within a sealed glass showcase cabinet, it was privately accquired from his former wife Kate Kray who is a personal friend and whom I have assisted her with a TV series called "Hard Bastards"
The suit was worn circa 1960's prior to his arrest hope this is helpful to you .
and do come visit the exhibition when it reopens April 1st 2011
@concertphotography I didnt think it was Ronnie's suit cos of the style of it. Ron had a very distinctive cut of his suits. Also, I didnt think it would fit the guy so well, as Ron's build was different to his, especially in the 60s. And also the glasses he was wearing, I've never seen Ron wear that style before. Sorry and everything, but it just seemed a bit far fetched to me and not like Ron's stuff at all. Apart from the photos and art, etc.
@MrsPolidori sorry you think we think you are stupid , I can assure you we do not, the jacket (and trousers) were Ronnie Krays as were many of the articles on display
I am curious to know why you think the museum would say otherwise?
@concertphotography I thought it wasn't Ronnie's because the man who tries it on is so casual about it and I would think that for an important item like that up for auction, it should be treated with more care. And they way they are acting with the stuff. He just seems almost sarcastic about it like he isn't taking it seriously. What year is the jacket supposed to be from also?
It's remarkable that people actually respect the Kray twins and saw them as stand out blokes who were good people. FUCK OFF WERE THEY! They were both murderous criminal cunts who deserved everything they got!
@UKNMajor There's a difference between being interested in gangsters (I am, for example, I find them fascinating) and idealising them. There were so many people, including celebrities back in the day when the krays were around saying "Oh, they're good lads, they love their mother, they're doing such a good job of keeping crime under control!"
Of course they did a good job, they killed other criminals and scared the rest into doing as they were told!
@TheRandyChimp Well if that's what they did then I guess they were better than I thought. There is always something "cool" about people going against the Law in the way the Mafia or
@TheRandyChimp Well if that's what they did then I guess they were better than I thought. There is always something "cool" about people going against the Law in the way the Mafia or the typical Gangster does, and films do help their image etc.
@UKNMajor On film, I agree, I was rooting for The Joker in The Dark Knight, I was cheering on Henry Hill in Goodfellas, but in real life, they're the dregs of humanity, the species at its worst, people who only look out for themselves and don't care who they hurt to get to the top. People die because of people like the Kray twins, they die and leave behind a family to look out for themselves, and more often than not, the family has to keep doing what the gangsters say!
@TheRandyChimp Of course they cause serious problems, but in the criminal world you can't be a nice invidual and do well. Recently you had the big drug dealer in Jamaica I think or Columbia on the run from the Police and then in the UK you had Moat going against the police. I do think generally people are interested in these types of people, I love looking into the Mafia online etc, I don't think I could idolise someone like it, but to be interested or entertained by, why not?
@UKNMajor I'm not arguing about being interested, but there were people, who were on television, who, back in the day, said the Kray Twins were the best thing that could happen to London, which was untrue. It's like when people started joining that Rauol Moate facebook fanpage. Wtf was wrong with those people?
@UKNMajor I agree, I get fucking angry when I see police brutality, and I'm constantly hating the government, since they're all fucking tory cunts who shouldn't have power, the wankers.
That said, I can't like people like the Kray twins.
that crucifiction painting is very powerful, I was reading Dave Courtney's book "Stop The Ride" and he says he owned that painting and it used to hang in his pub "The Albion". Is this the same painting?

@TheRandyChimp People are interested by Gansters and Mafia type individuals, why do you think The Godfather was so successful?

@TheRandyChimp It's more to do with people liking the Police or the Government being beaten or having people against them in a very public way.
A lot of people dislike the Police (I am one of them).
