Thank you for recording this. In my mid 50s now but loved this song since childhood. Liked it so much when I 1st heard it as a child that after much work I tracked down Kui & Don's addresses & sent them letters (I was 9 at the time!) of thanks. To my surprise I received a hand-written response from each.
In my late teens, I had seen each in concert & both remembered our correspondence & each dedicated the song to me in their concerts. Creative & large hearts; both. Your playing was beautiful.

you're so talented! I notice that you never show YOU in the video...I think it's an expression of how much you love music. Most people use youtube to post and get big and famous...but you don't give off that impression. You share your true Aloha from within...with no intentions of praise, yet you still receive it. These songs bring back bittersweet memories. Mahalo No for posting these!
Thank you. There's no need to show a face if what you're listening with is your heart. Then the face would be irrevelant. It's the feeling and the message that the individual(s) would get from the music that matters. Mahalo for the beautiful comment! A Hui Hou! Malama Pono! :D
OK....I really gotta stop listening to your video's.....I'm becoming addicted...lmao, betta watch out...addiction = stalker, hahaha, I remembah this was one of the very first songs we had to learn in Maile Elem., and Paniolo Country of course, lol....
Another song that I haven't heard before! And I thought I had heard almost every song that has ever been written! :-) I guess your performances are educational, as well being enjoyable! :-)
Great play, beautiful
