@GqFq Yes, he's using the sequencer to drive the filter frequency. Some synths have "stepped LFOs" which can achieve a similar sound. I used to do this sort of sound with a stepped LFO on the Kurzweil K2000. You could also do it with an envelope into a sample & hold that is being triggered by a another (square) lfo, or other regular clock pulse.
lol...i hope it wasnt my presenting "style" that did that ;-)
I agree that some of the prices right now are VASTLY overinflated. I paid £1200 for my system , and its shocking that you can barely buy the keyboard and maybe the mixer for that now.
I cant say your playing was inspired, but what got me more was the clunky sound. It sounds more like a vaccum or household appliance than a keyboard. Plus I dont know that I'm into the constant wiring leads just to get basic effects. As far as your style is concerned, less intro, more keyboards. Otherwise, you seem pretty charismatic. Bring it on.
Thanks for your feedback. Its a good job my work as a soundtrack composer and producer doesnt depend on me having to do this all the time. In fact, other than THIS, iive not done another "demonstration video" again :-)
@TheRealCritique...its funny because I hate when I watch a demo on a synth, and instead of demoing what the synthesizer can do, the person just noodles and shows off their "inspired" keyboard wizardry...I wan't to see what the synthesizer does! Not your cheesy solos! haha, I love hearing a bunch of buzzing crazy noises, and thick crazy bass sounds...I like this guys demos
you could have asked me BEFORE you did that mate, but thanks for that. Put in a link to my audio site. Ive also got two e.p's coming out in december. ta.
make sure its been serviced or youre willing to get it serviced, cause even the youngest ones are now almost 30 years old and although they look great, internally they will need a bit of recalibration.
thanxs for this demo! sounds great!

Please record the audio direct next time to really get a taste of what it sounds like.

at least you could record it directly to your audiointerface, the sound quality sucks.

Heeelo awesome video!
But as i am stupid at this stuff , how did you make that sound at 5:38.
Does a sequencer has something to do with this?
I just don't get it.

I like your demonstration. Check out mine. I'll be adding more soon. :)

@TheRealCritique this is a semimodular system, meaning patching is not necessary, but expands your possibilities somewhat.

It's a shame all the expansion modules are so hard to find. I've just got the keyboard and it's awesome.
Narcolepticbedwetter 2 years ago
on your 102 module does the sample and hold automatically trigger the envelope? whenever the sample mode is turned on it triggers the envelope.

I want a system 100 super hard right now...
Joy Electric used nothing but a multi-tracked System 100 on quite a few of his albums.
