Between Ron Paul, Judge Napolitano and the late Milton Friedman, you have about 80% of my libertarian ideology. These folks are great and I hope everyone is watching FreedomWatch on Fox Business.
I like your list but we don't have time to wait for a leader for freedom. Freedom is not a gift of the president or the govt. Freedom comes from resistance.
Ron Paul has NEVER condemned 9/11 truthers in any way. If you read his speeches on Foreign Policy you will find that he does in fact support the idea that there were and are people in our govt and special interests etc who are using 9 11 as an excuse for war and torture and Patriot Acts and violating our liberties and whatever else they think they can get away with and the fact that there is a plan for NWO/ One World Govt
So lets say for the sake of argument one day we did find out that it WAS an inside job I very strongly believe that Ron Paul would not be suprised AT ALL. False flag attacks arent NEW to the USA or the world. Check out TERRORSTORM for more on that subject. It's a GREAT documentary.
There's a big difference however between using a tragedy like 9/11, and creating it.
The fact is, there are radical Muslims out there who want to, and have actively attempted to kill Americans, as part of a holy war. The 9/11 truthers distract people from important arguments like
"how big a threat are these Muslims terrorist?"
"how should we respond to this threat?"
"how much of an impact our foreign policy is having on the desire to commit acts of terror"
I often wonder if he's really "hiding" in a cave or if he's actually enjoying a life of leisure in one of the large bunkers that we built for him when he was one of our assets (-or still is.)
The new awareness that Napolitano speaks of b/c of Ron Paul continues to grow. Politics and our economy will continue to get screwed up and hopefully by the time the masses want to do something about, Ron Paul's message will have caught enough momentum for people to consider as the answer. THAT is the ONLY hope we have.
Love his recognition of Grover Cleveland. Who in my book is the best president we've had in recent times. Great foreign policy, strict consitutional adherence and civil liberty advocate.
if you all would have voted for McCain you would have Govt. Healthcare , immigration for illegals , Global warming Tax , VAT tax & bio-Metic world ID worker card faster than obama same coin heads you lose & tails you lose
will the socialist race card will ever run out. whenever you support a non big government idea no matter how absurd the socialist scum will alway throw the race card at you. If you are against "health care reform" it's because you hate black people, if your pro states rights it's gotta be because you support slavery, if you support free markets its because your a white business owner that wants to profit off the suffering of blacks
what will they do when the race card no longer works
I haven't had many opportunities, but I throw it in the face of whoever accuses me of bigotry or racism by being against the current establishment that my wife of over a decade is black so they can then show w/ their facial expression how ignorant they are. Priceless. Of course, I was against the Bush admin as well, and now being more educated, would've been against Clinton, etc.
@Hierophant2 The message of freedom and liberty is attracting to everyone. As a non-denominational Christian, I welcome you to the Ron Paul revolution. Peter Schiff and Rand Paul are worth listening to as well.
Sad but true...Jefferson was a hypocrite one he stepped into the role of Presidency; although...his preachings and actions while under George Washington and John Adams were hi-fiveable.
@RvNYC What ten-dollar words did you hear? Seemed pretty straightforward to me. You obviously don't know Judge Napolitano if you think he's an intellectual showoff.
This is the first time I heard the Judge describe himself as a Rothbardian Libertarian. That's really respectable.
I would love it if these "higher-up" libertarians started actually saying what's on their mind in public in this regard. Rothbardian ideas are really under-represented.
Murray Rothbard is (was) an economist, and libertarian thinker. He advocated the Anarcho-Capitalism system, where there is no government interference in anything. His book, For a New Liberty, is essentially the ultimate source on modern-day Libertarianism.
It also follows the notion of Unalienable Rights, which Thomas Jefferson championed. And a lot of our Founding Fathers' notions on Liberty as well.
I find Anarcho-Capitalism the only sensible approach now.
I'd love to see a debate between Napolitano and Harvey Mansfield, the neocon ideologue who pens article after article on the strong executive and the superfluity of Constitutional limits.
The liberty movement is truly growing more rapidly and America is becoming more polarized than ever. statism vs individualism. I am on the liberty side along with all the smart ones that can think for themselves.
@vrossino46 - Understand that Judge's show is online only, thus the majority of the people it will attract are those who are probably Ron Paul supporters or of the like. They don't want this on TV so to get the judge to shut up, they just had it online knowing it wouldn't really make toomuch of a difference on the mainstream level. I mean, you would have to searchfor it or at least be attracted to similar ideals to even hear about it. If that makes sense. FOX is very cunning like other medias

People opposing secession share a similar mentality with gangsters who will kill you if you leave their gang once you already joined.
Tyrants always seek to centralize power, grow and regulate people's lives, the opposite of that? Secession, decentralization, a free market.
asperin 1 year ago 9
Gee, you might be right, but if they really cared for the country as a whole, they would start over.
SpringChatty 1 year ago
@SpringChatty
The problem with "starting over" is that the same will eventually happen.
See it as a human social experiment.
It failed tremendously.
Time to try different things.
Plus, we think very different than we did 2 centuries ago.
We should be able to separate but remain friends.
War, poverty and economic corruption are the fearmongering stories that Statists use to discredit decentralization of power.
Ironic enough, war, poverty and economic corruption are directly tied to the State.

The foundation of the constitution is not majority rule. It is based on each individual's rights.
There are some (mostly progressives) who believe that the constitution belongs to government and should be enforced on people for the "greater good".
When in fact the constitution belongs to WE THE PEOPLE and it is our contract with the government. It is not theirs.
The whole document was constructed from a perspective of the sovereignty of an individual.
Not the collective welfare.
