I think Danny Vaughn has the best voice in rock music since Ian Gillan was at his peak. Try listening to his version of Leann Rimes's "Damn" from his live album recorded in Newcastle 2 years ago. That is spine tingling.

I used to play in a band that opened for Danny Vaughns band around 1983-84 on the N.Y. club circuit ( Allied Forces). I thought THEN he had a great voice...NOW I think he is one of the great voices in rock music. Very underrated.

Also saw them on the "Somewhere in Time" tour. Even went as far as to buy their t-shirt instead of Maidens ! Really made an impression on me. One of the best live bands I've ever saw.

@MrDogs224 This re-recorded version of Heaven Tonight is, IMO, much better with Danny Vaughn than the original version with Fin Muir. If you like this, then you should check out Tyketto’s Don’t Come Easy album. Forever Young, Wings and Standing Alone are my favorites, but the whole album is pretty good.

I saw them open for Maiden on the "Somewhere in Time" tour. They must have pissed off the crowd because there was a small riot. Maiden had to cut their show short. LOL. And I was there with a bunch of teenage girls who were terrified. They were ugly too, but Maiden fans will still attack ugly girls too.

@paulhouston Saw them open for Ozzy and Motley Crue on Ozzys Bark at the Moon tour . Crowd loved them .... maidens a tough lot . Great band IMO

saw the same tour, and they got killed in Chicago. I was 8th row center, and the only one cheering for them

@paulhouston HAHA I suppose they wouldve gotten booed if they were opening for Maiden! Maiden is ooohhh so much better obviously....these guys were decent (sometimes really good actually) though it would have profited them more if they opened for Poison,MSG,Trixter,Crue...some­thing that was more glam-like right?
