Final Fantasy is a game series but not a set of sequels.  Really the only Final Fantasy game that had a sequel was Final Fantasy X (with Final Fantasy X-2). There is a movie called Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children which is a continuation of the story in the game Final Fantasy VII.

There is also a movie called Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within which isn't based on any of the games as far as I know, but is it's own standalone movie. There's also a cartoon/anime series called Final Fantasy Unlimited. There have been many final Fantasy games released in the US, at least 15 of them.
