of course there's no shortage of interesting careers Charlie! I mean you've gotta work might as well do something you enjoy and look forward to getting up and going to work every day!
Flip Wilson was Good Friends in Real Life with Bill Cosby since Cos did appear on The Flip Wilson Show during the Early '70's, but I guess CBS wanted to try and compete with The Cosby Show, but it failed miserably
But who would've thought that Kristoff St. John would go to do Generations on NBC Daytime and later The Young and the Restless
and Jaleel White would go to voice SONIC The Hedgehog and later play Steve Urkel on Family Matter for abc's TGIF and later CBS
With the massive success of "The Cosby Show" over on NBC the previous season, I guess you couldn't blame CBS for picking up this rip-off version - Unfortunately the viewers overwhelmingly rejected "Charlie & Company", which was gone off the CBS schedule after 1 disappointing season. At least Jaleel White would find success a few years later as Steve Urkel on ABC's "Family Matters".
I used to enjoy this show alot.Memories.

CBS's answer to "The Cosby Show". I should also point out this was around the time NBC was going up and CBS was going down.
Hmm, I wonder whatever happened to that Jaleel White kid...
