the play is awesome. I saw the one in Rochester at the downstairs caberat and the girl who sings is amazing. They extebended the show through june so people should see it.
I saw this show lastnight in Dallas, TX at the Majestic, and I LOVED it! She died 8 years before my time, but I felt like I could remember it all! My mom cried!
It had a decent turn-out. For some reason, there were a lot of peeps in their 50's, but that makes sense because of her time. But, almost all of the older folks were telling me, "You're too young to remember." But, my mom was a hippie and exposed me to some unforgettable classics. I remember sitting in my bedroom and listening to all of her ALBUMS!
Yea I am 16 and I love The Beatles and Janis. Everything that is old. My mom showed me them to she would sing cry baby to ma and i would hate ity now I love Janis Joplin
very true. Hendrix inspired me to pick up the guitar and drop the rap music circa 93. I think Ive studied most of the players of that age, listening to who they listened to.
A whole lot of burned cds and library dues later I can say I know my shit.

I'm 18, born in 1990, and my musical knowledge starts to taper off in 1989...
