how the hell did this guy make it to the semi final by memorizing songs? in the U.S. he wouldn't stand a chance, wouldn't even make it through auditions.
@Zulkarnayn I know Ceza from a song he did with one of my favorite rappers, Tech N9ne. I've never heard of Sagopa Kajmer. I don't listen to much Turkish rap since I don't speak Turkish but some of Ceza's songs sound really good. I mainly listen to American and Spanish hip hop.
and; , Dürsersem Yanarim, Drama Yollar, Romantizma. Try these four musics from Sagopa Kajmer, i really think it is worth trying, since the beat and rap fits perfectly, personally I can enjoy music which is totally foreign, in some case I enjoy them even more :=]
@Zulkarnayn I listened to them and he's really good! Baytar was my favorite. It really sucks not knowing what he's saying even though it sounds so good. What foreign music do you like?
Well I listen to many different genres and musics from everywhere if I have to be honest. I like spanish guitar plays, just instrumental, and generally I love piano and other instrumental musics.
There is actually another Sagopa rap I want you to listen to, since he made it with two jews I guess, Sagopa is just ft. in this music: Sagopa Kamer - Rak benadam
It is one of his "sad" tracks, and try also: Bir pesimistin gözyasi.
@Zulkarnayn I just listened to Rak Benadam. It was really really good. But it wasn't only in Turkish was it? It sounded like another language. And Bir Pesimistin Gözyaşları sounds so sad but it was great too. Listening to this music makes me want to learn Turkish haha.
@Zulkarnayn Ah I thought so. I love this music, thanks for showing it to me! =] Well it's good to know that Turkish is pretty easy to learn. I would love to visit Turkey someday and it would be better if I could communicate. By the way have you ever heard of Tech N9ne, Immortal Technique, or Nach?
@Zulkarnayn Istanbul is definitely one of my dream travel destinations. Tech N9ne did a song with Ceza called "Dark Places" maybe you heard it before. You should really listen to Immortal Technique too. "Dance With the Devil" and "Point of No Return" are good.
@shadowxsombra Yeah, I know Dark Places, and Dance with the devil :) they are both good songs. By the way, I like to share a song Ceza and Sagopa made together, they only made one song together, and later they got seperated and now they are enemies :/
But the song is called: Ceza-Sagopa Kajmer-Neyim var Ki
@Zulkarnayn Oh that sucks. Why did they become enemies? I just heard it and it sounds good. Seems like an older style but I like that. Oh and Ceza is going to be on a new song with Tech N9ne called "Worlwide Choppers" but it's not out yet. The song is going to have all fast rappers so it should sound pretty cool =]
@shadowxsombra Yeah it really sucks that they became enemies, true that song is one of the earliest Turkish HipHop songs actually, but I also really like it. Oh thanks for informing me about that new song :) I like fast rap actually, so it could only turn good for me =]
Ceza had an old group called "Nefret", I especially like one of their songs called: Nefret - Istanbul, this is also an old Turkish HipHip song, so the video clip is both cheap and old :D but enjoy :=]
@Zulkarnayn Istanbul was a good song! I like how they mixed up hip hop beats and traditional sounding music. It came out really good. The way they dressed in the video reminded me of the Beastie Boys lol. And if you like fast rap you should listen to "Midwest Choppers" by Tech N9ne. He has some other rappers on there and they all go fast. And "Be Warned" is also good and he raps fast. By the way, have you seen the movie Crossing the Bridge: The Sound of Istanbul?
@shadowxsombra I am glad that you liked it hehe, I am currently at uni can't listen to the songs you mentioned but I will when I come back home. I havent watched that movie, is it good? :)

@Zulkarnayn Wow like American dollars? Or in Turkey's currency? That's a lot of dollars lol.
shadowxsombra 10 months ago
@shadowxsombra yeh american dollars, it is 200.000 turkish liras (new lira), it should be around 140k USD :p but he sadly didn't win the competition

@shadowxsombra yeah Rak Benadam is hewbrew and turkish, Only the last part is actually Turkish, the chorus and the first part is all in hebrew :)
yeah Bir Pesimistin Gözyaslari is really sad, but like it :)
Actually, I heard Turkish is one of the easier languages to learn :) so if you are interested you can learn it without problems I guess.

I've heard of Tech N9ne and Immortal Technique, but I haven't listened that much to them, I just know the names :)
