@REDZONE133 I do it because I love movies and not because I am looking for fortune , $4000 for a screen from PVC is a joke , it is nothing magical about that ... well my screen is sort of PVC but in liquid and 100 times cheaper ... it works for me much better so it will works for all of you ..without spending fortune .. more updates soon.. thanks!
@Mec4D Katharina, Is it possible for me to get in contact with you? I love this setup you have been working on and I too love movies. I recently bought an epson ex7200 projector and have been searching for the best possible projection screen and just have not seen anything I have fallen in love with until this. You said in another post it isnt store bought paint but actually different chemical compounds you have added with different quantities. PLEASE CONTACT ME!!!!!
I didn't say it was the same just on the same path as them. I like their product but it's outrageously over priced. I think yours is great and just hope you price it well and again are you selling it? I think this would be a great kit like the goo screen paint system that is sold. you need a website to sell this!!!
@joe35147 I know I just agreed that is not the same .. it is closer to the goo screen paint system as it use 2 layers of paint , one almost black layer and one finish ( i did not used both in the test just the base ) the finish is good for a very large screen size and low lumen projectors , I am waiting for the finish product right now it is in production, after that my new website would be open..
@joe35147 Yes it looks like but is total different , and it works better for me , Black Diamond reflect the color of the light in the room, if you have a red painted room the screen get also red tint , but my screen don't do that, I used a very low contrast ratio for this test it was 400 : 1 only with 2000 lumen Panasonic projector , but I tested also with 800 lumen and it worked very well , totally not compared to any Gray screens technology
Hey so u just used a old projector screen and painted it with a none reflective black paint that feels like paper and it gave u that HD quality what paint do u recommend to use If I were to do this my self because I don't got 4000 buck to buy one
@fraleyforce Hi,it is not just ordinary store paint it is a mixture of metal dioxins mixed in special proportions to get the exactly color shade , I am working on commercial version of that so it will be not expensive , I painted for test my old screen but it can be paint on everything as long as the surface is nice and flat , I am not finished yet with everything so that is all I can say about ..
@mysticdaniel It depended of your projector , you can play games, watch HD TV, DVD, Blue Ray, use laptop whatever you wish , it have excellent contrast so you don;t need dark room , as long the direct sun don;t shine on it , it works excellent , I tested right now with around 1000 lumen , next week I will get new bulb so I can test with full 2200 lumen for maximum white and black and brilliant colors , The test screen is 100'' diagonal
Thanks, that was only the surface test, now I am going to finish the full design with new frames etc.. I used old white projector screen for this test painted it with the special paint I design that is smooth like a paper and no reflective , the next set would be adding the finish surface that will reflect the light to max with gain 1.5 keeping the black much more deeper as it is now .,so check out soon the final project .. at last it did not cost me $4000 and still it work almost the same way
