  • three 20!!

  • fish, eggs and mushrooms... wat?

  • 1:12 - 1:21 is so That's what she said.. it's ridiculous..... :D

  • Sakai seems like that awesome and happy uncle people wish they all had

  • what's with the fortune teller?!?!?!

  • inoue was very arogant and was very disrespectful and discraced himself

  • the challenger may have won in a sauce battle haha

  • how come this video shows up on computer but not mobile devices?

  • @teshimon Same problem with me too~

  • how this video shows up on computer but not mobile devices?

  • Sakai never loses with fish (at least not in the regular episodes). Never.

He tends to have worse luck with aquatic invertebrates though.

  • The mind boggles about that masculine taste i her mouth.

  • all the challenger did was make good sauce. he didnt try and bring the stingray out at all. totally missed the theme and point

  • Wow Sakai's face is so serious!

  • inoue, classical has been failure

  • what a narcissistic prick the challenger was.

  • Moral of the story : dont serve french cuisine or for that matter any other strong flavored cusine to native diners. Serve foods they know and understand.

Personally: I felt Innoue's man was standing head and shoulders over the iron chef in terms of culinary skill and execution.

  • He likes when she keeps it in her mouth longer.

  • That Guy got bump he probably got - due to Inue pounching th assistant lools

  • the judges might get hit if they dont let the challenger win

  • Hey challenger, it's a stingray battle, not a truffle battle.

  • they had to be nice to the challenger because they were afraid of being punched. x__o

  • Haha that fucker got owned! And they didn't even taste Sakai's dessert!

  • i know .... :(

  • @Raziel555666 Sometimes they just cut the tasting of certain dishes out of the episode so they can make it the proper length. I'm a bit disappointed this time, though. I really wanted to see the judges' reactions to Sakai's stingray and watermelon dessert.

  • The following caviar battle was paid for with the money earned from the lawsuit the assistant filed against Inoue.

  • are you serious>?

  • @FrostbittenWolf

    LOL!

    Inoue=Asshole.

  • all ray and shark meat is loaded with uric acid (smell of pee) because their body cannot filter it out and expel it so it collects and saturates the meat. that smell makes it usually unsuitable to eat, unless you put a strong sauce over it. in singapore they put a strong thick spicy chili sauce "sambal" on it more to mask the smell so more like eating chili than fish meat.

  • @rostant999

the sambal is not to mask away the smell.jus that singaporean like spice and heavy taste.stingray is good for pouching also, dun really have to cover it.

  • chomp chomp!!! lets go eat ^^

  • @NanAkatagana

let's go!!!haha...i need chup chup/gong gong and stingray every weekend...but i prefer sembawang leh...

  • hahas yeah!!!

  • the dubbers make noburo inuoe sound way too horny "mmmm i like that", he def wants mada

  • hahahahha u got that right!!! hahaha made me laugh!

  • haha serve noboru inoue rite !!!!

punching people...and the main reason the apprentice lost is bcoz of noboru inoue... for pounching people !!!

i said no one eats from a bad heart !! no one will love food from a bad haert.

n noboru inoue brags he is best !!! LOSER !!

btw, if u type noboru inoue in google nothing shows up... so he is just a pure loser who loves to beat people...

Yoshihide Koga and Hiromi Yamada (the japanese italian chef who was missing) can still be found in google !!

  • I too missed the watermelon desert, I was really interested in it. But I am glad the Iron Chef won. Usually I root for the underdog and usually go for the challanger but with the challanger's mentor punching the asstant twice and being rude to the reporter, I am glad he lost. However, I am sure the judges based it on the food, and not his mentor's actions. I am glad when the top guy said he "respects his contributions" opposed to the chef himself after that display.

  • Iron Chefs have more experience catering to what they know the judges are looking for. That goes a long way as to why they are so consistent at winning.

  • well they arent iron chefs for no reaosn

  • the stingray is a mild fish, i thought that the challenger's dish focus on the sauce not the ingredient whereas iron chef brought the fish out.. that's why he won..

    just my opionion though

  • Sweeeet sweeet victory!

  • does anyone know what happened to the tasting of the last sakai watermelon dish? i saw when the photographer person is saying "sakai focuses on the flavour of the stingray..." at the end that the dish was the watermelon one (cause the previous dish had a cup) did they skip it or sth?

  • The challenger was a slave to tradition. He was focusing on French cooking, not cooking stingray. They were challenging Sakai's integrity. Combine that with Inoue punching an assistant and you knew they were going down.

  • LOL The fortune teller's translator is terrible!!

  • haha the fortune teller sounds constipated

  • this is one of the best iron chef episodes i've seen. Sakai's strategy is brilliant, he accentuated the flavor of the ingredient instead of making powerful sauces. i've never had stingray, but i could almost taste it when they showed his dishes

  • haha everything looks disgusting,

    love the feminine, masculine part

  • I'm surprised Inoue didn't slap his apprentice upside the head after the verdict, as a coup de'grace

  • "When I first tried it, it was so...feminine, but after I kept it in my mouth, it became masculine."

    "Mmmmmmm...I like that!"

    wtf

  • Yeah I WTF-ed too.

  • really. The challenger was hiding behind a mask. He wasnt focusing on the flavors of the stingray, but focusing on the dressing. meaning his sauces and such. It was even stated in the judgement.Saki's approach was brilliant. He never forget that it was all about the stingray. not that the other guy isnt a great chef----its just that his focus wasnt primarily on the main ingredient.

  • but the sauces are the most important thing in classical french, its what makes the difference between good and great. Sakai was just better :P

  • I agree. The point of Iron Chef is to show off or highlight an ingredient. So many challengers focus on their own cooking style and dishes and forget to highlight the ingredient. The Iron Chefs make sure the main ingredient is the key player in their dishes.

  • :) Gotta Agree I love Sakai :'D

  • Honestly, this was a quite difficult ingredient by American standards. I thought it was very close. Sakai did wise to go outside his normal approach of good sauces and complimenting the natural, yet subtle taste of stingray in several ways.

  • I knew that The iron chef will win. Of course he will.

  • Did Inoue ever man up and take on Sakai himself? Or did he just become a drunk punching his way through French cuisine in Japan?

  • well the guy he punched screwed up and cooking is an art do it right the first time he would beat that other guy hands down

  • I was worried that Inoue was going to sucker-punch the challenger if he lost. Inoue would make a great pro-wrestling character, he could fight with a "drunken chef" style and whack people with wine bottles when the referee wasn't looking.

  • I see that when u become a top chef in Japan ur allowed to punch ppl left and right! hehehe good episode...im glad the iron chef took this one...great skill from both!

  • this was the only real 'battle' cuz it had boxing in it lol

  • Haha Inoue, on a scale of one to ten, you got owned.

  • well they never dubb the main guy (the one who announces the winner and all that) because he is this suupperr duper imporant guy in Japan and it would be considered disrespect to put an American over his voice.

  • never thought people ate stingray. makes me want to try it.

  • This was one the of best battles that i've seen yet!

  • Sakai rocks! He should've punched Inoue on his head... or at least suckered him on the handshake... anyway, great win for the Iron Chef.

  • the pai look nice

  • hahaha it hella random what their profession is n then "fortune teller" hahahha

  • I really like how some people have subtitles and others are dubbed

  • it makes me say, " hey stingray isnt so bad!"

  • wait. where the fucks the watermelon dish? LOL

  • yeah wtf

  • The stingray is so soothing!

  • dude, that inoue is a prick.

  • sakai and chen have to be favorite iron chefs..

  • Good thing your in the kitchen cause you just got served.

  • Sakai has got to be my favourite Iron Chef.

  • Of course the Iron Chef would WIN! - coz he sticks to the main objective which is to accentuate the string rays.

The opponent, had get sauce & accentuates just tht or other ingredients.

  • take that Inoue!

  • agreed noboru inoue is nothing !!

  • Something annoys me about the way that young actress eats, like she's just learning to use a knife and fork and her mouth aswell. The fortune teller sounds like Olive Oil from Popeye.

  • Thanks for the upload archo. Yeah!!! Sakai won!!! So happy for him...hahaha..Inuoe looks disappointing...hahaha.

  • Great battle! Sakai is definately the balls

  • as a child, i remember my uncle catching stingrays off the pier in san diego. my aunt would fry the things up and i can remember thinking, "wow, this is awful". i guess that's why these dudes are chefs.

  • I wonder why there's that fortune teller there. Is that a legit job?

  • A fitting ending. Thanks archo.

  • Thanks, Leon. You rock. This was one of the best battles I've seen.

  • In about an hour, I'm gonna post up another episode since I have more spare time tonight.
