The german engineers were the very best in the world at that time and would have never used cyanide which is extremely dangerous to manipulate, other than for delousing, and never used petrol or diesel which produce no more than 200ppm carbon monoxide gas. They would have used a simple wood BBQ which produces 5,000ppm and is very cost effective. There was no gas chambers.
