i played through a bit of the game and i think Havel was locked away by Gwyn because he was a friend and he didnt have the heart to kill him but in the process of locking him away he was killed turned undead and he went back to the kiln and went hollow
What if it was Pertus who locked up Havel because since they both are in Way Of White Con., Pertus didn't want Gwyn's best man to know the heresy that Pertus would commit in killing Reah in her mission made by Gwyn. Maybe I am wrong because of the time difference between the men.
Something im just speculating on when you were talking about it. If Ciarin DID kill Artorias for his betrayal by joining the darkwraiths, maybe Ciarin went to the grave to pay respects to him(Artorias). Where Sif killed her(Ciarin) for killing his friend(Artorias). Maybe thats why her ring is behind Artorias grave.
@Epicnamebro Oh, and about the "Return to Catarina" thing I Find it interesting because I want to know how to one can leave lordran, the Crow?, If so why can't the Player character return to his world why do you need to search for the Bells and no others do. Is it because the Prophecy holds you there? Can you just waltz into Lordran as an undead? Or I could just be an idiot And Im under the impression that Lordran is a separate area from the real world like an underworld of sorts.
@EpicNameBro Epic, I Know this is WAY Off topic, and is my speculation but Siegmeyer and Sieglinde have two interesting tidbits of Dialogue. The first is when Sieglinde talks about her Fathers final adventure she tells you not to worry it's just the way he is the part I find strange is she says she'll just have to "Kill him again" The other is when the side story is over and She says she will "Return to Catarina" so my question is How and why? It's nothing I assume I just found it intriguing.
When Havel was a member or even the leader of the Way of White he most likely hated sorcery because, sorcery is black magic and another reason why he hates sorcery could be because,he thinks a real warrior don't need sorcery and must fight man against man.
i read that a "divine blacksmith" who was havel's friend locked him in there, not sure, but i do know that he was going hollow because he was pissed about seath and such so he chose to be locked up because of that.
Furthermore, it is entirely possible that Artorias joined the Darkwraiths in order to hunt down the Darkwraiths. It is possible after all to invade other Darkwraiths whilst being in the covenant.
The four knights of Gwyn, the Black and Silver Knights, and Smough, are most likely minor gods. We know (at least being the case of the Black and Silver Knights) that they were around before humanity sprung, during the primeval clash with the everlasting dragons. What supports this theory is merely indicative of their size. All gods are significantly taller than humans, who are descended from the Furtive Pygmy. Furtive. -Pygmy-. That accounts for the size difference.
What about Velka be Priscilla's Mother? we found several traces of her in Ariamis. Maybe she left her daughter there after beings rap** by Seath and then get da fuck out.(sorry for the poor english)
Is it established that the knight on the cover of Dark Souls is Artorias? Since he's wearing his sword, a unique set of armor and is also the only one who is left handed. Although, I haven't given much thought to if anyone in the lore is left- or -right handed.
I think the "For his own good, of course" part of the description wasn't ironic, considering that Havel is hostile to you when he sees you and he is technically undead.
When I read "For his own good, of course" I also thought it was sarcastic. That said, I assumed that given how much of a beast Havel is, that his friend locked him away to protect his own life from a hollowed Havel.
I speculate that Orstien is a demon, Because when you use his soul to make the Dragonslayer Spear, it requires Demon Titanite for its upgrades. Wouldn't that mean His soul is that of a Demon's?
men is just sad when you find the two maidens in duke archives turn in to pisacas i just want to turn to píeces that stupid scaless dragon... and the blacknights where always black epic even before the first flame thats my guess... love this game
Maybe Priscilla was a failed experiment by Seath? Or a creation of madness to kill other gods in order to advance Seath higher in the ranks hidden in the Painted World in Anor Londo to keep her out, Darkmoon and all of the Painting guardians.
Guys think about it Seath hast to be Pricella's father beause prisilla is a dragon cross breed without scales, Seath has no scales she is also albino, Seath is albino!. also the painted world is in Anor Londo to(speculating) to keep Pricilla safe because i believe the Gwynevere is her mother due to the size and that Seath is the father(i got this info off of wiki please like!!!!
About this "people being intentionally turned undead" thing.
For one of the items of Paladin Leeroy's set (his shield, I think), it says that the Way of White Church successfully "produced" their own undead. My memory may be fuzzy on the specific word used, but when I read it I remember thinking to myself "Why would the WoW want to make their own undead, and how do they do it?"
In short: I believe that that description serves as proof that one can, in fact, be turned undead intentionally.
i'm still trying to figure out what those 2 black knights were doing on the ledge in Anor Lando.
To dispel the lie perhaps? But then why would they be able to walk freely? Havel's hate prob. stems from the war the fact that Seath was allowed to live & thrive. The fact that Havel is loyal, Seath is a traitor. The relationship between Havel, Ornstein would compliment this. Then there's the armor & the jealousy i'm sure Havel would have felt over Prescilla, Lock up!
Yea blame Epic for following Havel up with Ornstein, lol.
I was re-listening to the vid. when i wrote it. As i did i was having a conspiracy theory moment about maybe how Havel fits into the Seath, Prescilla drama & how Havel got the Tooth, who's tooth it was, etc, i think by the time I got it all out Epic was on about Ornstein & there's where my mistake was. I got Smough/Havel mixed up atm. I think people gravitated more to the Black knights on the ledge bit.
You'd think that someone that platted the game 2x and got 1k on xbox would know these things. lol. But you know how it is when your heads swirling with ideas. Sometimes they get mixed up. :)
i dont see how that would work though, trying to fit a ring on a paw? using a shield? we know wolfs can use swords :P but i believe artorias was human, so how did his Mrs. get turned into a wolf? or was he into beastiality :P size doesnt matter because Oreos and Smores arent exactly bite sized :P niether is gywnovere

subscribe subscribe subscribe!! this shit is unreal! i love it sooooo much! please do keep it coming
im dont believe this and it is very wild, but ive heard people talking about Sif being a girl and maybe even involved with artorias, with marriage or lovers or something but when he died she looks after his grave, the only real proof of this is that Sif does watch Artorias' grave and that he/she doesnt have anything smacking you in the back of the head while you try to cut his/her legs
The knights, including the silver knights and the giant sentinels are all giants. They have no physical traits that distinguish them from humans physically, save for their height.
This is based upon the fact that the broken statue serving as the Warrior of Sunlight altar is a statue of Ornstein, which you can clearly tell from his weapon which, as the Leo Ring describes, is unique to him.
well that explains why you find Rhea in the duke's archive's in a prison cell as a hollow. he must have wanted to experiment on her. i don't think Gwenevere left because she got raped. if you join her covenant, the ring she gives says that she left long ago along with many other deities and married a fire god. i don't think any humans lived in anor londo, i think all who lived there were deities, gods and such. even the fire keeper, kill her and read her fire keeper soul description.
If you watch the opening cinematic we see gwyns army in dark room and they do seem to be black knights however when the knight is starring a dragon if you look at his armour it IS silver which may mean that these knights are no longer loyal to gwyn or that they support his daughter Gwynevre's plan to find a successor to gwyn and only wish to challenge you and not destroy which further implies that they are sane and the current black knights are hollow
Personally, I don't think Havel has been around for that long. My reasoning would be the description for Havel's Greatshield, and I quote: "A true divine heirloom on par with the Dragon Tooth." (This is only the last part of the description mind). If it is an heirloom, does that not mean both the shield and the tooth would have to be inherited to him? And a divine heirloom no less... It just seems a bit off to me.
This may have been brought up already in the comments but just yesterday while glancing through my miracles I noticed the description for Magic Barrier. "Miracle of Bishop Havel the Rock. Cover body in defensive magic coating. This coating greatly boosts magic defense, assisting warriors who must face the magic which Bishop Havel countered so proficiently." The Great Magic Barrier has a similar description but Reah of Thorolund sells the first (although the second is found in the Great Hollow)
Of course within my comment, you also have to assume that Leeroy came after Havel anyway, as his corpse is found in the lair of Gravelord Nito which would have been some time after the war with the dragons. So it's all speculation based off of Leeroy's armor description.
I don't know if anybody said anything about this already, but on Paladin Leeroy's armor set it says "Long ago, the Way of White produced its first Undead, a paladin in golden armor. With the legendary treasures Grant and Sanctus, Leeroy set out for Lordran, Land of the Gods, in the first Undead mission of the Way of White." Which would suggest that since Havel went hollow, he is an Undead, and if Leeroy was the first it means Havel cannot be part of the Way of White.
Ok here's my guess. Seath was tired of Havel's ignorance/hatred of magic and was determined to experiment on him and get him out of the way. He made an ultimatum to Gywn that he had havel over to him or not interfere when he takes him despite being a bishop. Seath then tries to turn havel into an undead as he may be trying to find a way to become undead without the risk of madness that seems to affect them as an alternative to the dragon scales os immortality as even the dragons could be killed
@gentlegiant80 Gywn agreed as he didn't have the time to fight with Seath and why Seath could possibly turn him undead he never found a way to stop the madness that was inevitable after Gywns betrayal and Seaths methods of experimentation (and the nature of the dark sign). Gywn locked him up or had someone like Petrus lock him up so no one would know of his betrayal and that everyone would eventually assume he is dead as the key is guarded by the butterfly which is a servant of Seath.
@gentlegiant80 Havel may have been Gynevere's lover along with Seath which was the final straw for him to finally kill/destroy Havel but that is probably wrong and extreme speculation
@gentlegiant80 Although the description implied turning them undead was meant as a punishment to make them rethink their ways so perhaps it isn't Seath so I don't know. Also is it possible one of the daughters of chaos were pricsillas mother? I just thought she looked quite a lot like the fair lady and they weren't always freaky spider women and clearly people could travel around the world and weren't constantly in their areas in dark souls.
as lord gwyn sacrificed himself to cast off the darkness and became hollow. His followers which is the way of the white seeks on a mission of kindling to which a bonfire is bolstered with flames thus casting off dark. Then a prophesied undead would be chosen to continue the legacy of the furtive pygmy or follow the hidden secrets of the pendant. From an unfortunate event in which rhea was either assassinated or killed, thus found a pendant similar to a gift similar to that of the chosen undead.
@EpicNameBro Not sure if anyone mentioned this already but: What I am thinking about is that Gough and Smough may be related due to their similar names, my bet is they have been brothers if anything. Ornstein is a fellow knight of Gough's and Smough actually wanted to become a knight himself, so for some reason I really think there was something going on there, so I was wondering about your thoughts on it if you have time. Anyway, good upload and cheers.
thx this stuff helps alot with understanding it i did demon souls full store on my own and it took forever to complet it so i just whatch your vids for dark souls
I always thought that "of course" was like trying to asure it was for his own good, like he was'nt sure about like he was going"it's for your own good...of caurse I sware you own good I did the right thing"
I suspect that Havel was locked away not for being hollow, but because he was picking fights with Seath too much. Havel= old friend of Gwyn from the war. Seath = new shiny friend from the war and beyond. Seath's betrayal was the turning point of the war of course.
maybe the reason why havel has the dragon's tooth might be because him and seath got in a fight and he took his tooth. its just a thought, but it could also be a reason why they hate eachother, however i do not know the reason why they started their conflict.
Wait, there was a real Gwynevere? I don't remember which item it was, but I was sure I read Gwyndolin created the illusion of her because of how he looks. Can't have a gross snake-man out in public, right? ;)
Where's the source for a real Gwynevere?
(Love this series, btw. I've always been a lore guy, ever since 1st reading LotR as a wee kid.)
@thebigJ1er I just found the Sun Princess ring description... That doesn't make sense to me. It's given to members of the covenant following the Gwynevere illusion. Why would it reference her leaving long ago? The LAST people Gwyndolin would want to know it was a fake would be the people in her covenant. It sounds more like in-game lore to me. It's a bit of (fake) mythology describing what illusion Gynevere did in the past, rather than a reference to a seperate, real Gynever. I may be way off.
About sparing Sif i have yet to test my theory and may not be able to for awhile, but i think when you are fighting him and you get his health down to where he starts limping that if you don't attack him for some time he'll either flee or something may happen... I just have this hunch that since, so far for me, he's the only boss that does something when their health is low that somethings being hinted at.....
within the dark souls game i heard abyssawalker artorias wanted to hunt the darkwraiths. not sure if it stated in the video or not but in description of sword of artorias (cursed) it said that he joined a covenant with the creatures of the abyss most likely talking about kaathe. Here is actual line "when Artorias joined a covenant with the creatures of the Abyss." the irony in this is that artorias wanted to destroy the darkwraiths but ended up joining them. he could be 1 darkwraith you killed
@MorningSHWOOD That is what I think is why she is in there. They could have used that to put her in there perhaps. Part of the description from the Lifehunt scythe - "Even the Gods feared Priscilla's lifehunt ability..."
I think Priscilla is one of Seath's experiment and not his child. Further speculation... maybe Seath conducted his experiment on Gwenevere and the result of it is Priscilla?
@l3ots Well Gwenevere left Lordran a long time ago and The Chanellers kidnap human's for Seath's experiments. It was probably just some human woman that Seath used to creat Priscilla.
Make it a weekly thing!!! What you´re doing is fantastic! Although, I kinda like your visual interpretations with binoculars (as in the other videos) more! :)
@hellinvador Well Solaire was already undead since he wanted to find his sun. Logan im not quite sure of how, but considering he's more than 100 years old. He's most likely undead.
but you got to consider that if the real havel is probably a god (for him to have lived through the dragons) maybe the havel you fight at the basement of the tower isnt the real havel but one of his last remaining followers locked away by Seath under the pretext or maybe because he did turn undead, and the real havel was also one of the other dieties that left Anor Londo.
The description of the Dragonslayer Greatbow is "Bow of the Dragonslayers, led by Hawkeye Gough, one of Gwyn's Four Knights."
The units in the game that wield the Greatbows are the Silver Knights. Perhaps the Silver Knights are the Greatarchers/ Dragonslayers described in the Hawk Ring and were lead by Gough, not Gwyn.
I don't understand why "Dragonslayer" would be used for Gough's soldiers and one of the four knights, who I would assume is worthy of a unique title. Maybe a translation issue?
Just a note, never speculate on the timeline related to the player whilst progressing through the game. Solaire tells you when you get the white soapstone that time is constantly shifting and the only reason you two meet on the bridge before the dragon is pure chance, this is likely linked to why after killing invaders or using summoned help you will be able to find the gear on corpses. Which are likely the final resting places of the NPC's
ummm isnt gwynevier an illusion? like if you join the moon something cult, gwyn's son says gwynevier is an illusion to cover up his identity because he is hideous and frail, so that means 100 precent gwynevier cant be the mother
@PacMan0Ghost The real Gwynevere left Anor Londo when she married Flame God Flann. So Gwynevere does indeed exist, she just isn't likely to be in Lordran during the events of the game.
Playing through this game unknowing makes it feel like a super action game. But under all that action and awesomeness is a chilling horror more or less. Almost everything in the game that you encounter has a story it seems. I never though much about Havel besides wanting to kill him for his stuff , but after hearing this i'm like wow.
In a way, by the time you get into the game it is actually post apocalyptic. Some many things you could have prevented, its just tragic.
Within that cell is a corpse holding a Maiden set, and also a ring, which when looking at the description claims that it is the ring of the Head Bishop of the Way of the White. Meaning that Seath once kidnapped and killed the Head Bishop of The Way of The White, and that's why Havel could hate Seath.
This is only speculation, but i feel that Havel hating Seath (and Havel once following The Way of The White) can be explained in only one way. When exploring the Duke's Archives, after coming across Seath for the first time (when he is invincible), and you are in the prison-like area of the archives. You can head to the left of the giant door, when facing it, along some wooden platforms, and then dropping down to another cell.
Also, I think that Alvina was referring to the legend of Artorias himself as the fabrication; not the legend that he could traverse the abyss, but the legend that he was some gallant, abysswalking knight for Gwyn. Its so heavily implied that he fell to the temptations of Kaathe and became a Darkwraith that I assumed Alvina was testing your knowledge about Artorias himself, and seeing what you truly knew about him. Of course, thats just me being a geek, so sorry for bugging you lol
what if seath has some ability to go into a human form or something. how would he be able to traverse his archives if he were that big? how would he be able to read all those books and record all that knowledge?
From how i read the dialogue in the game i think there's a difference between "undead" and "hollow". I have always thought that the game is in a land of the undead, where the Hollowed are the ones who have lost their minds. That's just how i read the dialogue though
I always presumed that one was "turned undead" because the cutscene at the beginning does show a darksign being "inscribed" on what appears to be a dead body...hmmmm.
Some people on 4chan were speculating, and we came up with an idea. What if the Giant Blacksmith is Hawkeye Gough? He's got the ring right next to him, he has a shitton of special arrows, and like you said, he's probably not human. Just speculation, but it seems like there could be something there.
RE: the sorcery/faith conflict, I just read into it as a science/religion conflict. They'll never have anything better than shaky truce because they're conflicting ideologies to their foundations. And because pyromancy had the stigma of the Chaos witches tangled up in its history it's frowned upon by both.
(I'm Pyro, high 100s now. I like that my character's story is all about fire, and it's so integral to the entire lore of the universe.)
My theory on Ornstein and Smough is that they're being deceived into serving the illusion of Gwynevere by Gwyndolin, after you kill Ornstein and Smough, Gwyndolin probably gets scared of you, and then uses you to do his dirty work.
fuck i really wish i could play this game, why did my PS3 die for fucks sake OTL hopefully they really do port the next game to PC. Or they do a good port of this, though i doubt it = ?
i really love these Lore videos, please man, keep them up, so much interesting stuff. I've had many debates about Dark Souls with friends, that will sadly see no answer, but these videos help.
I would be curious too see if Sif was around at the time of Artorias, if not. His covenant with the Beasts. may have been for him to be transformed into the Great Grey Wolf Sif. Thus meaning his body would never be found. making his Friend (lover?) Ciarin would've assumed he was dead, and left her ring on his grave. (Which might be empty)
@BlackEyedJester The reason I think that Sif might be Artorias is because, his ring was The Wolf Ring. Which Description reads "Has an Unbend-able Will, and is unmatched with a great sword" Sif uses Artorias's Great sword. And even when he starts limping he will not flee. he will finish the fight, or die trying. thus presenting his unbend-able will. See the resemblance?
Havel: if you can "make" people undead, that would make me believe Thorolund made him undead to have a pretext to send him to Lordran. His ring's description says he was a battlefield compatriot of Gwyn, and the key says he was locked away by a friend. Read the White Seance Ring's description--it might blow your mind! Pretty much confirms Havel and Gwyn are from Thorolund, and blows the doors open on a lot more speculation.
Gwyn is supposed to be the lord of Cinder right , and the opening scene in a new game shows the silent firekeeper of firelink shrine reviving/branding a dead person the make them undead , but here the good bit , she uses a Cinder that is suggested to be from the first flame , so maybe gwyn is the god of the undead so it would make sense for all his knights to be undead. and therefore not human. I also think seath and havel came to blows but gwyn valued seath more so havel was locked away.
I think that since Ingward tells you Artorias is still alive, and since the body you get the hornet ring from is female; that maybe Ciarin died in Artorias' place, or maybe Artorias killed her. Artorias may have gone to the abyss, and when he parrished, he became the four kings.
@Belson476 Gwynevere? The big one's an illusion created by Gwyndolin. And it has flowers on it, so someone who cares placed them there--someone who cares enough to create an illusion of her?
@assfault88 I got to thinking, and maybe the real Gwynevere is NOT that big. I mean, Gwyn and Gwyndolin definitely aren't. Also, did you see the description of Blade of Sunlight? It seems to point at Gwyn being dead, BUT HE'S NOT! I guess the key here is the God of War, the firstborn of Gwyn. Also, they're gods. Frugality is not exactly the most highly valued feature in the stuff they do. Just look at freaking Anor Londo.
@Belson476 I never implied that she was of greater than average human size. Either way, what does it matter? Big person/ big coffin or average person/ big coffin = same thing!
I re-read the ring's description, and I had read it wrong the first time! I skipped the "to" in "uncle to Lord Gwyn"--I read "uncle Lord Gwyn"! That changes things a bit... But not really.
@assfault88 But nothing really indicates Gwynevere died. She departed Anor Londo like the rest of the deities. And again, the Sunlight Blade (got the name wrong before, sry) is found right in front of the coffin and its description says the firstborn left it in front of his father's resting place. "When the eldest son was stripped of his
dunno if everyone has noticed but one cool thing about the cover box is that the guy has the greatsword of astoria and the shield of artoria, which could mean he could be astoria. and it kinda looks like he is entering the abyss
On going Undead, I think it chance based. Like getting sick and I think Seath may have looked into the Darksign as a way of immortality. Maybe Seath figured out a way to brand someone with it and used it on Havel. Then maybe, after seeing it work, Seath tried it on himself.
@thecodemachine I don't think he was a giant because I can't picture a giant with a bow, even one that big. It would look simply ridiculous (not that the blacksmith doesn't). I think all the knights were "gods" in the same way Gwyn and his family were, only maybe not as powerful. They were definitely not human, that's for sure. They COULD be giants, since there's the sentinels and regal sentinels, but that's my theory anyway.
@Kurtofication He marched to battle. I can't remember if it was alongside Gwyn or some other important king. I guess it's safe to assume he had some soldiers. Maybe they weren't really important for the story.
i played through a bit of the game and i think Havel was locked away by Gwyn because he was a friend and he didnt have the heart to kill him but in the process of locking him away he was killed turned undead and he went back to the kiln and went hollow

EPIC,we know that gwynever left anor lando.but why ?
maybe she didn't agree about Priscillia being exiled into the painted world.
and Priscillia love Gwynevere for that and took a picture of her to the painted world to remember her.

Why Havel hate magical? make wut make him turn hallow? wasnt there a spell take Humanity away from player? so maybe he lost his humanity
FistOfNah 2 weeks ago in playlist Dark Souls Lore
i'm still trying to figure out what those 2 black knights were doing on the ledge in Anor Lando.

About the 4 Knights not being human.
The knights, including the silver knights and the giant sentinels are all giants. They have no physical traits that distinguish them from humans physically, save for their height.
See @DeathMasque
Ornstein as Gwyn's firstborn

SilverTongueTied 2 weeks ago
This may have been brought up already in the comments but just yesterday while glancing through my miracles I noticed the description for Magic Barrier. "Miracle of Bishop Havel the Rock. Cover body in defensive magic coating. This coating greatly boosts magic defense, assisting warriors who must face the magic which Bishop Havel countered so proficiently." The Great Magic Barrier has a similar description but Reah of Thorolund sells the first (although the second is found in the Great Hollow)
CyberSlayer128 2 weeks ago
Of course within my comment, you also have to assume that Leeroy came after Havel anyway, as his corpse is found in the lair of Gravelord Nito which would have been some time after the war with the dragons. So it's all speculation based off of Leeroy's armor description.
Schofieldbro2 2 weeks ago

Seath then tries to turn havel into an undead as he may be trying to find a way to become undead without the risk of madness that seems to affect them as an alternative to the dragon scales os immortality as even the dragons could be killed
gentlegiant80 3 weeks ago
@gentlegiant80 Gywn agreed as he didn't have the time to fight with Seath and why Seath could possibly turn him undead he never found a way to stop the madness that was inevitable after Gywns betrayal and Seaths methods of experimentation (and the nature of the dark sign). Gywn locked him up or had someone like Petrus lock him up so no one would know of his betrayal and that everyone would eventually assume he is dead as the key is guarded by the butterfly which is a servant of Seath.
gentlegiant80 3 weeks ago
@gentlegiant80 Havel may have been Gynevere's lover along with Seath which was the final straw for him to finally kill/destroy Havel but that is probably wrong and extreme speculation
gentlegiant80 3 weeks ago
@gentlegiant80 Although the description implied turning them undead was meant as a punishment to make them rethink their ways so perhaps it isn't Seath so I don't know. Also is it possible one of the daughters of chaos were pricsillas mother? I just thought she looked quite a lot like the fair lady and they weren't always freaky spider women and clearly people could travel around the world and weren't constantly in their areas in dark souls.

Meaning that Seath once kidnapped and killed the Head Bishop of The Way of The White, and that's why Havel could hate Seath.
kaicmcdermott 1 month ago 25

(continued in next comment)

AbyssalTorment58 1 month ago
One of the big questions for me is WHO THE FUCK IS BURIED IN THE TOMB OF THE DARKMOON? All-Father? Some other god? It can't be Gwyn, he's alive.

@Belson476 Gwynevere? The big one's an illusion created by Gwyndolin. And it has flowers on it, so someone who cares placed them there--someone who cares enough to create an illusion of her?
assfault88 1 month ago
@assfault88 I got to thinking, and maybe the real Gwynevere is NOT that big. I mean, Gwyn and Gwyndolin definitely aren't. Also, did you see the description of Blade of Sunlight? It seems to point at Gwyn being dead, BUT HE'S NOT! I guess the key here is the God of War, the firstborn of Gwyn. Also, they're gods. Frugality is not exactly the most highly valued feature in the stuff they do. Just look at freaking Anor Londo.
Belson476 1 month ago
@assfault88 By which I mean, of course, it could be someone of a normal size in a really big and ornate "coffin".
Belson476 1 month ago
@Belson476 I never implied that she was of greater than average human size. Either way, what does it matter? Big person/ big coffin or average person/ big coffin = same thing!
I re-read the ring's description, and I had read it wrong the first time! I skipped the "to" in "uncle to Lord Gwyn"--I read "uncle Lord Gwyn"! That changes things a bit... But not really.
assfault88 1 month ago
@assfault88 But nothing really indicates Gwynevere died. She departed Anor Londo like the rest of the deities. And again, the Sunlight Blade (got the name wrong before, sry) is found right in front of the coffin and its description says the firstborn left it in front of his father's resting place. "When the eldest son was stripped of his
deific status, he left this on his father's
coffin, perhaps as a final farewell."

On going Undead, I think it chance based. Like getting sick and I think Seath may have looked into the Darksign as a way of immortality. Maybe Seath figured out a way to brand someone with it and used it on Havel. Then maybe, after seeing it work, Seath tried it on himself.

Gough was probably a Giant. The hawk ring is behind the Giant Blacksmith.

Something that confuses me is taht in the description of havels armour, it speaks of his soldiers, who were havels soldiers?

@Kurtofication He marched to battle. I can't remember if it was alongside Gwyn or some other important king. I guess it's safe to assume he had some soldiers. Maybe they weren't really important for the story.

I'm also curious about why Sif has the abyss walking ring on him, it seems like it would be on the grave instead.
