Countless scenes in Aladdin that would work in a game, yet instead of adding those in they make a Pyramid area that has no relevance to either the movie or Arabians. That's Capcom for you, screw consistency.
This game came out before Mega Man X was released. At least it's closer to the movie than the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive version (if you don't include Stage 5); not to mention that the game has the "Prince of Persia" + Mega Man feeling.
After seeing multiple ads which showed Aladdin using a scimitar, I actually put this tripe on my Christmas list. Thankfully, the massive disappointment of Aladdin being sword-less was softened by the other two games I received... Mega Man X and Turtles in Time.
there were many parts of this game that freaked me out: the close up of the cave of wonders, when aladdin confronted the boss merchant, the part/music when aladdin got the lamp and abu grabbed the jewel, and the music after you defeated the cobra
Bootleg port is better.

Mega Drive and this. Two very different takes on the same story. Both worth playing.

would love them to make games like this again, so much more challenging and enjoyable than most of the games out today.

@seanw23 I don't think Capcom made the Genesis game, so that probably explains why they're so dissimilar.
