to who ever wrote the first comment, i have alot to say, i can tell you are a chav, southend, beer, nightclubbing, thats what southend is for, it is not over price, it is a decent price, southend is cheap because it's a load of crap, actually, it's not cheap, i brought a bucket and spade for £3 and they are £2 for nice decent ones, it is a lovely place, a TYPICAL BRITISH place, southend is horrible, casinos, bars, nighclubs thats all there is, and the pier is slightly posh to look nice DUUHHH!

Thank you for uploading. I've been going to Southwold since I was 3 years old and I'm currently 17. We used to stop there on the way to Great Yarmouth but recently we've been going up north specially for Southwold. I especially love the beautiful scenic view from the pier, in which you can see the lighthouse. I'll be taking my true love there one day. ^.^
Love this place. My husband was born here and the first time I visited was for our honeymoon 25 years ago. He still has family there and we rent a cottage every year. I have to have my Southwold fix. We pop up for long weekends too but then we stay at the Kings head or the Swan. One day we hope to move back to the area but it will have to be Reydon as prices are too high in Southwold. I really enjoyed watching your video. Thanks.
@thedebtsettler If you like Clacton/Southend/Whitstable etc it says it all! But we like Eastbourne too so something in common but not much else - and lay-off Fulhamites - I was born there long before you existed !
I love Southwold. I visted last year after reading Philip Leslie's terrific novel 'The History of Us', which has an intense scene set here. Beautiful place.

Is there a Gay scene there?

What a dreadful place.
Went there on a boat yesterday and it was like some ghastly trendy-ised version of what Fulham-types think a British seaside resort should look like.
Nothing there.
Over-priced everything.
...and the tarted-up pier made me lose the will to live.
If you want a REAL taste of The Great British Seaside, visit...Clacton or Southend.
If you want a trendy version, visit Whitstable/Tankerton.
If you want spectacle and beauty, visit Folkestone or Eastbourne.
ALL are better.

That's a very nicely shot video with perfect accompanying music. You must have been up early for Southwold to have been so quiet!
We're off there again on Saturday for a 3 day break so that's whetted the appetite nicely...thanks!
