Yeah, Khmer used to be a one biggest Empire, like Roman, in the south-east-asia, but Thai people invade Khmer and won in the war, like what French, German, Italian, English did to Roman. Therefore, Thai people have as much right to take the land from Khmer... as French, German, Italian, English have the right to take the land from Romans.
Does anybody know were still fighting about our land. We're all humans and Thai / Khmer are so similar. Thai leaders are secretly stealing khmai land and khmai leaders are selling them ,doesn't sound so bad but the more Thai living in that area Cambodia will shrink in years to come. Angie can play a Cambodia woman, she has the high cheeks and the big eyes most Cambodian women have, she only needs to get a tan lol But then again even the chinese dude and the Korean woman are going to need a tan. @hotwanghour Its not that they aren't khmer but just that thye are really not good actors. Jet Li may be the best of them. The hardest part of tkaing Jolie seriously is that Movie makers tend to cast her as a femme fatale even though her time has passed. Cena Is a wrestler and very very Caucasian which would of course make the movie completely unbelievable.
Unfortunately this cast seems to indicate this movie will be another farce like Scorpion King, or any othe Hulk Hogan debacles.

Would you feel better if Tony jaa was the role that Li is playing yes I know he is Thai and most Cambodian and Thai are hmmm....not always good to each other. But Jaa is a Khmer Thai and Im sure looks much more the part being from Surin near the border of Cambodia. & also speaks fluid Khmer. As a matter of fact I think it should happen Thai & Cambodian need to put their differences aside both are rich in culture history and love let the past be the past :)
All the actors in this video are great performers. Jet Li has always been my favorite from the international screen. A. J. is by far the more popular in recent major movies. John Cena is new to the screen but we all know how popular he is in the sports of pro Wrestling. I am sure they will make great stride to portray the beautiful culture and ancestors of our people. It is great that we share our history to the world we live in.
All those negative comment about the movie mean you are not proud of Khmer history and culture being shown to the world you are more worried about who should act, I am pleased/ happy with the selection of actor and actress for the movie, and they are international star and mix race. I'm sure Khmer also act in there too, as Khmer civilisation and that is an important role.
Recently we have Thai wanting to claim our stuff and wanted war, Thank you the producer and Director of “The Great Khmer Empire” It show to the world this is Khmer and it’s originate and belong to Khmer, for Century Khmer fight to keep this Kingdom of Wonderful.
I am not upset about famous actors or actress of block Buster acting as Khmer, their Job is to act and they are good at it. They are well known and help bring attention to the movies. I am just grateful and thankful for the Western who see Cambodian as a great and true historical nation, and it would clearly state that Cambodia is a great Kingdom once rule by great King and we have survive till this day.

Yeah, Khmer movie should have Khmer actors, I know... but this is an Hollywood movie... It doesn't make any sense for Cambodian to perform in this film if it was made by the Hollywood production or something.. Khmer actors or actresses are not well-known enough to get any attention from other foreign people to watch... For many few reasons: 1 Cambodians can't act for shit! 2: There are some good Cambodian actors in Cambodia but I doubt they can speak good English. I think they're going to make this movie in English and not in Khmer. Maybe after the movie is finished being made, they can dub it in Khmer for the people in Cambodia. Khmer dub sounds much better than actual Khmer actors speaking. You must have never watched a Khmer movie.

Angie can play a Cambodia woman, she has the high cheeks and the big eyes most Cambodian women have, she only needs to get a tan lol But then again even the chinese dude and the Korean woman are going to need a tan. As for Cena, no way man, the dude is just too Caucasian looking. But I am sure that he's not playing Cambodian anyway, no producer would do that. He is obviously playing a westerner. I'm looking forward to it tho, hope it's gonna be as massive as it should be!

@hotwanghour Its not that they aren't khmer but just that thye are really not good actors. Jet Li may be the best of them. The hardest part of tkaing Jolie seriously is that Movie makers tend to cast her as a femme fatale even though her time has passed. Cena Is a wrestler and very very Caucasian which would of course make the movie completely unbelievable.
Unfortunately this cast seems to indicate this movie will be another farce like Scorpion King, or any othe Hulk Hogan debacles.

Would you feel better if Tony jaa was the role that Li is playing yes I know he is Thai and most Cambodian and Thai are hmmm....not always good to each other. But Jaa is a Khmer Thai and Im sure looks much more the part being from Surin near the border of Cambodia. & also speaks fluid Khmer. As a matter of fact I think it should happen Thai & Cambodian need to put their differences aside both are rich in culture history and love let the past be the past :)

All the actors in this video are great performers. Jet Li has always been my favorite from the international screen. A. J. is by far the more popular in recent major movies. John Cena is new to the screen but we all know how popular he is in the sports of pro Wrestling. I am sure they will make great stride to portray the beautiful culture and ancestors of our people. It is great that we share our history to the world we live in.

I am not upset about famous actors or actress of block Buster acting as Khmer, their Job is to act and they are good at it. They are well known and help bring attention to the movies. I am just grateful and thankful for the Western who see Cambodian as a great and true historical nation, and it would clearly state that Cambodia is a great Kingdom once rule by great King and we have survive till this day.

Yeah, Khmer movie should have Khmer actors, I know... but this is an Hollywood movie... It doesn't make any sense for Cambodian to perform in this film if it was made by the Hollywood production or something.. Khmer actors or actresses are not well-known enough to get any attention from other foreign people to watch... For many few reasons: 1 Cambodians can't act for shit! 2: There are some good Cambodian actors in Cambodia but I doubt they can speak good English. I think they're going to make this movie in English and not in Khmer. Maybe after the movie is finished being made, they can dub it in Khmer for the people in Cambodia. Khmer dub sounds much better than actual Khmer actors speaking. You must have never watched a Khmer movie.
