I know what you mean about thinking your teeth are invincible! I had that problem... I ate so much candy and drank so much soda... My dentists kept telling me what perfect teeth I had... Hah! A few of my teeth have chipped for no apparent reason. >.> Probably from all that sugar!

Don'y worry dear, I went thru it all, capping with root canals on all my upper molars when I was sixteen, after I had been drilled and filled unneccesarily cuz my dad was rich. Maas quantities of suger all my life lead to extensive pulling and filling. Finally the bridge cracked when I was fifty, (the one that I got at 16 not bad), and I also got a partial with wires for the bottom. At last, at age 57, I had had enough, so I had the remaining upper 8 pulled, and got a beautiful denture. No pain

Tushy, I feel for you. I have gotten so bad about getting dental work done that I have to have them put me out to have a cleaning. My teeth have gotten so sensitive:(

I feel your pain dear. I had to have valium to get a couple fillings, but when I got a tooth pulled i didn't use any. It is a very invasive and tramatic experience for some of us. Next time, if you don't get a tooth pulled and have gauze, drink a hot drink. It will help the novicane wear off faster. But I only recommend you do that if you are getting something small done like a filling.

Oh that sounds so painful. :(

I felt just as much pain after 2 root canals and I swear next time I'm not going to do it. I'm going to have them yank them out. It's ridiculously expensive to get a root canal and I don't think I'll be doing it again.

Poor Thing! I know what it is like to be numb up to your eyelid. I once had to have 7 shots to get numb enough and after-my damn eyelid was even numb!

I was the same way with my teeth...I would eat a whole bunch of candy...never brush or floss...So yay for me...but I hate dentists so much..
