No, SW:TOR is not coming to console, they have clearly stated its PC only. The 360 probably couldn't handle it anyway without the graphics being dumbed down and the areas being reduced to a smaller size.

No dude, they wouldn't make this game only for high-end pcs. That'll cut their player base to half. A company is not concerned with gaming elitist console or PC. They are concerned with numbers and money. So it can probably be ported to consoles and can run on minimum settings for lower end cards.

If you mean can the console handle it. Yes it can. An Xbox 360 is roughly the power of maybe a quad core + and at least a 9800GTX. If you mean money/contract wise. Microsoft and Lucas Arts are pretty friendly with each other. Lucas Arts has come out with quite a few games that are on all systems. If you mean how will the online work/game mechanics play on pc vs xbox. Take FF11 for example where players on all platforms can interact online.

Not quite as powerful as that, the graphics card is more like a 7800gtx and a dual core, the reason they look moderately good is because they are made to run on the 360, that's it, the 360 is now powerful machine anymore. I was saying it would be very difficult for a persistent on-line universe to function over say Xbox Live, chat system would have to be revamped along with many other things, and games just don't last as long on consoles, its simple fact.

Well the 360 plays GTA 4 similarly to a 9800gtx with similar details give or take a few. The lighting is more dynamic on a computer.

I don't know about that mmos last less long on a console. I'm looking at the finalfantasy online game which is still around and played on consoles.

I'm no tech so I'm not sure about the chat system but they could make it both voice and text. So you could probably chat to a voice chatter using your keyboard. Good point though.

Although they added the customary comparison to World of Warcraft, which isn't a compliment (their graphics really aren't inspiring) it should be noted that there are some promising elements of gameplay mentioned.

1. The sidekick: Let's hope the sidkicks are customizable too...othwerwise we will have a game full of clones...which would kill the RPG aspect in the MMORPG.

2. Story-based gameplay: one of the worst aspects of MMORPG is the boring repetiion of grinding.

Let's hope they are not modeling the game design and play off od World of Warcraft. (I hate that retarded game of hopping morons). I think that if this is going to be a good MMORPG the focus will be on the character's customizability and uniqueness. People who like MMORPGs or RPGames in general like customizability, and the ability to make a highly unique character (Like the Sims, but with more customizability)...characters with features that can be morphed to look just like the player.

I argee that the original format for KOTOR was unique, highly playable, fun and full of surprises that made it fun to play over and over. But MMORPG games are fun...REALLY FUN...if done right. The original Star Wars Galaxies....EXCELLENT! This is before it got gay. The problem with MMORPG's is that they are too commonly compared to World of Warcraft which is a horribly designed game of the worst generic variety. It is a tribute to marketing power and the power of the least common denominator.
