he was holding his beer bottle, and as he hits he presses q (default), you can do this with taunts, you can make the demo man look like he's drinking one of his other weapons

What happens when you swing/shoot and change weapons right as you begin swinging, you'll be holding the next gun but will be playing the animation for the other weapon. In which case, if you were to swing with a Pyro's axe, and switch to your flamethrower it'll look (to others) like you're trying to hit someone on the head with a flamethrower.
