I, personally admired Hmong Chinese continue to keep our traditional songs for 6 centuries after years of wars with Chinese invaders. Thanks 2 all Hmong Chinese! Hmong American have been in America for 35 years.....already lost their roots. Most of them can't sing traditional songs.
No matter what dialects us speak in whatever countries, but remember us as Hmong must preserve our language, cultures, so that us won't lose our roots. Us must keep our language.....and must speak our native language more than other languages.....such as Chinese, Laotian, Thai, Vietnamese, English, etc. These are secondary languages to us.....and is not our officially language in our cultures. Please keep this in mind, our beloved Hmong people.
very nice, this is real hmong talent and i'm so glad that the hmong in china, vietnam, and thailand still have it. Don't let go of our traditions and songs bc we are a special group of people. Each ethnic group has its unique talent and this is what we have and we should preserve and pass this talent from one generation to the next. I say this bc I a Hmong American we are losing these rich traditions, values, and culture.

what is the real hmong language? is the hmong that is spoken in thailand/laos/ usa the real hmong? or the hmong spoken in china the real hmong language?
I want to say that it's too hard to tell now because the ones in laos and thailand have too much influence from that region. ( an example being the words we speak and the music type, a lot of hmong people listen to thai music now) The ones in china also have too much chinese influence.
I do want to mention that there are 56 different ethnicity of people in china and the chinese government consider us as part of them. so hmongs are technically chinese people. you may not want to believe that.
thank you. yah, those in china are now considered chinese, like how we're in the usa and are considered american? :) but im just curious to the first miao language ever. cause i do agree that hmong dawb/ntsuab are the ones spoken in the usa/thailand/laos. so, if i use those in those regions in china, i would still be understood? thanks :)
many of the hmoob suav say ours is the original language...the one's spoken in the US and in thailand and laos etc...however some of us say that the hmoob suav's dialects of hmong are the originals...but who really know..so many of the other's race's lanugages have been integrated with the hmong language so...its slowly dying...we needa learn our original language...and preserve it..
@song151 well, you can't necessarily say that hmoob suav are the original language. our language definitely has subtle variations. im sure that prior to the hmong movement into indochina, all the hmong people spoke the same but as we move, there are going to be subtle changes and there has been. hmoob suav call their spouses "puj" and "yawg", while the hmong who moved into laos and thailand changed and started using "quas puj" and "quas yawg." thats just one example of changes to our language.
it actually sounds nice this way too but don't you guys think that being all over the world (us hmong) is sort of amazing? i mean, we are in the u.s., france, china, japan, korea, canada, and australia. it just amazes me... but it's sorta sad that most of us don't even know how to speak this ancient language anymore...
i'm a different kind of hmong.. Hmong Stripe lol... though i have no idea what this guy is singing about, it sounds awesome
