@AlwaysBeKilling So has anyone heard the new Deicide or Morbid Angel? I think they're pretty good. What about National Day of Slayer on June 6th? Everyone, remember to skip work and blast Slayer as loud as you can. Bash a window in, kill somebody. You should "alwaysbekilling" someone. What about Malevolent Creation's new demo, anybody like it?
Any and everybody, please feel free to right about any band you want anywhere. Don't listen to the douchebag with the comment below.
When I heard the scream in 2:59 for the first time, it completely shocked me, lol. But nonetheless, great song from a great album.
I really wish David (whom started Necrophobic) stayed in the band. If he had, he probably would've made this band one of the best death metal bands ever. I mean, I don't find their newer albums bad (but definitely not as good as this album and their second one), but it's how they've been acting. They've been acting so ridiculous recently.
I die for the right master, the one I will serve they believe my soul is resting but how can they be soo wrong this is where life begins where it will be everlasting. 666
Not true. "Gardens of Grief", "Terminal Spirit Disease", "With Fear I Kiss...."............fuck even "Slaughter of the Soul" was damn good. Get off that elitism bullshit. Almost all of ATG was definitive.
@willabema EVEN slaughter of the soul was damn good. slaughter of the soul is one of the fucking greatest extreme metal albums ever and that's a fact. their debut the red in the sky is ours follows in the same vein. everything that band released was groundbreaking.
@willabema Decrying another's taste as elitist simply because you disagree with it is pretty elitist in itself. You should open your mind and accept the fact that some people may like The Red in the Sky is Ours only. And no, responding by saying that people who like that album only are the ones that should open their mind is not valid, because people are just as free not to like something as they are to like it. Who says that such people haven't given other albums a chance?
@neuraxianfusion All your babble is pointless....& who are you to interject. I don't recall anyone asking 'neuraxianfusion' to comment. You're calling me an elitist for calling someone else an elitist & now you (an elitist) puts his 2 cents in to prove nothing. What have we learned from this?
@willabema You may say that you 'know' they haven't based on their attitude, choice of words, etc. but that's bullshit. You can't read someone else's mind, so you can't determine how much consideration they've given the later albums, no matter how hard you try to say that you can. You're the close-minded elitist.
@neuraxianfusion Exactly, you said it right! I can't determine how much consideration they've given the later albums & by them saying "the red in the sky is ours" is their only true death metal album is saying they haven't given enough. It's their loss. It's not even 'true' death metal. It's more melodeath than anything.
The EP, "Gardens of Grief" is more straight-forward Death metal. Nice try. :)
@willabema Actually, The Red in the Sky is Ours has plenty of similarities to early death metal across the board. It's virtually alien to modern death metal, but that's because death metal sort of became a bit formulaic after a while. The 'melodic' aspects are something that's common to all good metal, and any good music, although those aspects are usually not present at all in any genres that insistently advertise themselves as melodic.
