i know she always had a southern accent, but some of this sounds a little "put on" or exaggerated. its a shame, because she was one of those pop girls who could actually sing, but now she does some strange JEWEL sprt of thing when she sings.

i live in north carolina all my life and believe me ... we have some serious southern accents here too!! this ma be totally genuine... it just seems like a stronger accent than she had in past interviews and it "happens" to coincide with a country album! either it is put on now, or covered up before or maybe it is just who she is hanging around with now. its just an observation

I agree - she is lame! Girl c/not make it in Pop, so that's why she went to Counrty & by the way - she sucks there too! I hate the way she moves her lips & head when she sings.
