yeah it really was like thunder! yeah was on the beach nearby, which was probably a mistake as the coastguard might have mistake it for a distress signal! lol
That sounded loud! I like the titanium effect. Very impressive. I just ground tested a new loud-composition for rocket reports of my own, but I'm scared of it really, so I'm not sure I'll ever use it again. If I do reports for measuring altitude, I like to use a rural launch site away from houses.
it really was mate! yeah Ti sponge, is my favorite report effect.
what was it? KMnO4 based? thats scary!
yeah, ive moved place, so the nearest 'non rural' area is on the beach, but no ones out at 9-10 at night, so thats my window! if people are in bed, theyll have an early wake up call thats all!
love it mate, glad to see your back on the pyro scene,30 gr eh! stepping the stakes up now i see, your goin down the chiefy road i take it? be careful then, nice report though and the motor was fast as hell
yeah, i think it migth have CATO'd pretty high, hence the short flight? im not sure as the delay chamber ignited? so im not sure entirely what happened, but whatever it did, it still launched the salute very high!
yeah, im pretty sure it CATO'd before the full length of the motor burned?
it probably just got past the core, which ran 2" into the motor.
or thats what it sounded like.
like i say, this is a new motor for me to develop, so ill have to work on this excisting platform, and reduce the core in 5mm increments untill i get the right thrust for my headers!
sorry mate, i understand what you mean now. (mr. Airrow rocket, has made me see sense!)
yes, i deliberately cut down the tubes to 4" instead of 7".
but doesnt 1lb, refer to the inner diameter of the tube (3/4", as a lead ball 3/4" in diameter would weigh, 1lb?, i thought thats how it was quantufied?)
yeah, dont know if you know, but ive been moving house, so pyro has been neglected, but im settled in now, and ive christened my workshop by making this monstrosity, this evening!
I think the "pop" was your nozzle blowing out. Maybe the core was too wide? Did you ever recover it?
Regardless, that was awesome... Hell of a header! :D

ahh, i see.
well this is KClO4/ Eckhart Super H German Dark Al/ (70/30).
2 micron, this stuff really is incredible, i reckon this 30g could rival 100's of grams of KNO3 based flashes?

Ya it looked nice but I was more reffering to the 4inch length you put in the description my 5/8inch bp rockets are 6 inches long.
