  • How is the electricity made? I mean yeah this made everything else much clearer but what I wated to know was how wind turbines actually generate electricity..

  • congradulations, i just used you for my 7th grade science homework! :D

  • BUT HOW DO THEY TURN THE WIND INTO ELECTRICITY?

  • Is it a cooincidence that your playing man who sold the world or are you implying something here?

  • haha great to help me in my geography lesson ^.^

  • is it only one turbine supply electricity to only one building?

  • Very cool

  • Yayy nooow i can do mah homewahk

  • Nice technical animation on the individual generator.

But for wind generation to actually "work" and provide a renewable power source it needs to provide very stable, steady-state power or be able to store the energy. There is no storage solution that would allow it to replace fossil fuel plants. In fact, wind is DIRTIER than fossil fuel alone.

To learn more look at this video:

    youtube.com/watch?v=F21i4TxDOUk

  • Expensive to erect, and then there's the maintenance

  • haha what happens when theres no wind ? you have to keep the turbines spinning so the bearing dont seize which ( in Austrlia case) you use coal energy %60(at best) of the time to keep the turbine spinning. kinda dumb if you ask me

  • nice vid

  • thanks, now i can do my homework

  • using this for my electricity and electronics test! :D

  • It helps!! :):)

  • im using this for my science project :)

  • im gonna use this for my science project

  • this is a great help for my Science Project!

  • I'm using this for my geography CCA

  • Purchase your own wind turbine kit or parts for your Sovereign independence. Don't be a slave to the electric companies. 1500 Watt all inclusive turbine kit for about $1,500. Go Soveriegn! We have everything from charge controllers to Inverters. visit Sovereign's Depot @ sovdepot.com

  • Great presentation!

  • im gonna use this in my science project presentation, k?

  • Yes, you can use this for your science project presentation! have fun @LivGirl321

  • remember there are more than one video to use for your science fair project

    @LivGirl321

  • @LivGirl321 haha me too. lol

  • We shouldn't be building wind turbines because they are extremely expensive and can't meet power demands. Better to invest our moneys in Hydro and Nuclear - they are clean, safe, and are actually capable of meeting out power demand.

  • very true! :P

    @joezasada

  • Lol, I'll give you the explanation about the turbine. Ofcourse, electricity is the moving of electron to the outside element or in short, it' the flow of electrons. And magnet especially the negative one, repels the electrons at the metal, one it repels strongly, electrons are ejected and run through the wire, and become electricity. Or in short, accodring to micheal faraday, when a copper is move through a magnetic field, it flow electricity. And that turbine is composed of copper aand magnet

  • what about the copyrights? can i use it for demonstration purposes?

    thanks.

  • Nice video. But it looks like you were explaining to the kids in school.

  • i do exhibition about renewable energy

    this site is useful

  • the man who sold the world

  • uhm. everyone knows that already I guess. I was hoping of a more in-depth video. But great vid nonetheless!

  • 0:40 the SHAAAFT

  • Holy fuck, this animation is probably so bad it's actually funny. No wonder such Jews don't know how to educate people.

  • Youniversity XD

  • Yeah, expect that's not even remotely close to how they work. Time for you to study up. Yaw motors, gearboxes.... there is no storage... They go strait on to the grid.

Pitch control... Power factor correction... Study, then make a video.

  • @samtech79 This is exactly how the manufacture explained to me that it works. This explanation is not of wind turbines that are connected to the grid, rather it's of small wind turbines that are connected to a house or office's local power.

  • @yfrimer now i have a question ... how a generator work , how is electricity produced?

, we didnt learn anything new we all know that

  • @yfrimer Don't let the rude and unkind upset you. I think they go through youtube just looking for people to harass. There are those that think they know everything, but instead of helping just try to pull others down. Very rude.

  • @yfrimer You can get set ups like this connected to the grid. Samtech is misinfomed.

  • @samtech79 Yes you can get storage with some wind turbines. If there is no wind, the wind turbine will be stationary. For turbines that use a battery connected system, any excess power is stored in the battery which can be used when there is no wind. If your turbine is grid connected then your energy will come from the grid until such times as the turbine resumes power generation.

  • @Panzerbeast Sorry pal but I've been working in wind energy for the last eleven years. I have a pretty good idea of exactly how they work. This video is incorrect. What this guy is trying to discribe in was is called a Windgen. "Turbine" is reserved for machines larger than 100kw.

  • @samtech79 Depends where you come from. But correct me if I am wrong turbines convert the source of the prime mover into mechanical energy. then the generator part converts mechanical energy into electrical energy? So whats the difference between a wind turbine (say an induction machine) that produces 10kw or 800kw?

  • @Panzerbeast I understand where you are coming from and it mostly has to do with grid connections. No machine over 100kw is relant on a DC storage device. All wind turbines from 100kw to 5mw are directly tied to the grid or in a few rare installiations actuelly supporting the grid.

They are different machines, much like a moped is not a motorcycle and a go kart is not a F1. When one scales a small wind device against a mig and calls it a wind turbine I would sure hope he gets it right.

  • @samtech79 thats exactly what I want to find. Where is that stuff? Plus can I see the math? (the aero-dynamic related)

  • @samtech79 this is a really simple method, a short summary of the workings of wind turbines.

  • But is IS a copyright violation to use 21st Century Fox film theme. It's their AUDIO LOGO!

  • The time has come for Free energy to be revealed ,But the Oil companies want these technologies unknown to the masses,Go to LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM and get the blueprints for a genuine magnet motor ,The revolution begins!

  • @cloudburstlenepmhq read my other comment on this page

  • The Oil companies are trying their best to stop free energy ideas from spreading to common people.

We need to put an end to this corruption ,start generating your own electricity now.

Look for the LT MAGNET MOTOR in youtube video search. Join the Revolution!!

  • @despinapjr the oil companies don't do shit with corruption, it's just you stupid americans that don't know any bloody thing about renewable sources of energy. Free energy is a lie, there can never be free energy. you will always lose energy through conversion

  • Awesome use of Nirvana.

  • awesome job man! i'm proud of u.

  • this is not all what's inside a wind turbine; there are low-speed shaft and high-speed shaft connected to each other to increase effiency.

  • Pleasant and informative. Good job.

  • ACDC ? :/

  • thhhhhanks :D , schooool project !

  • what is the name of the song on piano... or rather the chord progression? i really like it at 1:09

  • Pleeeease someone who can pass me this music?? Who knows? not me!

Come on....I would love to get it! thanks

  • wow GEEKS i hate science class :/ makes me think.. XD start listening to GOOD muzik RAP

  • rap is the worst kind of music there is....

  • R.A.P. Retards attempting poetry.

  • "Oh no. Not me. I never lost control.

Your face to face with the man who sold the world."

.... Who many people would have caught that? I'm shocked that the S.S. at Youtube haven't pulled this audio for copyright violations!

  • @RuffleTheTeacher its not copy right violations because its just some dude playing that song on a piano, not the original recording of david bowie or nirvana.

  • @yfrimer Actually, the copyright belongs to the original composer of the song, not those who perform renditions of it (vocal, instrumental, or otherwise).

  • thanks this will help me with my school project

  • great music!!! who's playing "the man who sold the world'?

  • AWESOME! 3D is amazing and congratulations on making the 3D animation!
