  • there is one thing that they don't know is even TKD they punch too

  • being soft is not the problem..BEING BAD IS..especialy the kickboxing guy..he is onviously a beginner and not even a good one..this is not how kickboxing is..the tkd guy is alright but not good..so this is a very bad sparring all in all

  • A bit soft, but of course it's just sparring lightly (I hope)

  • Ok first of all that was no kickboxer it was some fat fuck that knew a few things kickboxers dont use there foot like a pussy its called the shin nd second horrible fucking hands its called kick"boxing" not drop my hands like a bitch nd kick with my foot oh nd that "black belt" is a joke too yea go ahead buddy try blocking a kick from a REAL kickboxer with your hand you woulda been knocked the fuck out in a real fight

  • dos gallinas jajaja

  • Le kick boxer est très mauvais !

  • Who wins?

  • Horrible technique

  • @MrWotshisface north korean

  • @andrew30133

Thats the South Korean flag but upside down :/ The north korean flag is a think red line with a thin blue line above and below the red one with a red star in a white circle on the red line. Look it up on google. You got the wrong flags :/ not having a go just think you should know if your doing Tae Kwon Do

  • @MrWotshisface obviously -.-

  • @andrew30133

    Your not making sense :/

  • Kick boxer would have got fucked up if the black belt in tkd had actually tried

  • @MrWotshisface We had done some renovations, and to be honest when putting it up, did not even notice it being upside down! Our apologies! No disrespect meant!

  • @synergymartialartsto that sux man.. being an korean

  • @seohjun Sorry, what sucks? Please explain?

  • in my gym we all spar like this, unless you want to be a dick then there are some "other" people you can spar with

  • @MrGarrett1911 Thanks for the comment! Yes, indeed there are others to spar, or different levels of intensity, and even different sparring rule sets if you want to ramp it up!

  • looks fun , why so many dislikes ?

  • @sewagedweller Indeed, it was fun, a fun exchange, 2 guys were going light, sparring each other for the first time, and wanted to keep it light contact. Why the dislikes, everyone is entitled to an opinion!

  • xtremly slow 70 's probably

  • ils donnent des ceinture noire vraiment a tout le monde ...

  • Taekwando sucks ass. I've lost some sparrs with kickboxers but I've sparred with two different kids I know who are black belts in Taekwando and they never last for more than thirty seconds. The only experiance I have is 6 months of jui jutsu and 1 month of boxing. So kickboxers are definitely more badass than taekwando

  • dnt depend on style depend on the person who use the style

  • The kickboxer does not know how to guard...

  • i allways hear hear that tkd is all flash and and no real power i whould like to see a tkd guy vs kempo or sambo fighter that baseof the moves are on damage and power

  • Amaters

  • good fight

(but the red dobok looks ugly^^)

  • Good fight!.

  • This si not a serious sparring ...its too soft please!

  • Throw some combos!

  • I don't understand why if the kickboxer was in close range he didn't use his arms

    That's why he's a kick-BOXER but still good fight

To both fighters: Keep training to become better, remember that the style or the martial art doesn't matter in whose gonna win, It's the fighter.

  • @DANGONruvalcaba They COULD of moved a lot faster. They were sparring, they were using control.

  • Dwee Chagee a.k.a back kick to counter attack at 0:19

  • A little slow but since the Video owner said its just sparring then its ok. When I watch people in my gym spar, they usually go a little harder than this. No injuries but one guy almost got knocked out because his partner was kind of a dick.

  • @hazza3 In my gym, when we spar there's actually blood

And I have seen guys been knocked out

  • @DANGONruvalcaba Sometimes people in my gym start to bleed too when they get hit. No one knocked out but a few almost knocked out. Again, because some people are just assholes. If it was Novice Wars we would understand but not sparring.

  • @DANGONruvalcaba That's because in your gym No one has "control" over their techniques.

  • Excellent Point Caeviens! Seems that way to us as well!

  • Its worth mentioning that alot of folks hold their Guard around their Midsection of Shoulders.

It just seems that its only complained about when a System like TKD or Karate does it.

  • no offense but...why is the guy in red wearing a black belt?

he drops his guard a lot and doesnt seem to be using a small, phasic, bent-knee stance...

  • @sabin97 Anderson Silva does the same thing and he always gets his opponent in his trap.

  • @hazza3

    except when he doesnt...

    /watch?v=267i7rKeECA

  • @sabin97 No one is invincible and this is his last legit loss in MMA.

  • @hazza3

    so not always?

anyways the skill level of anderson silva cannot be compared to the skill level to the guy in red. even with the bad practice of dropping his guard he wins quite frequently.

  • @sabin97 Well now he does and he hasn't lost since that ONE time.

  • There is no additional protective gear worn under. Just what you see in the video. This was just a fun exchange between 2 students. They are both going light contact sparring. If you watch one of our other clips entitled the Knock Out Spinning Back Kick ( I think that is what is called!) You can see what happens when you get hit a lil harder by that same kick at 0:40.

  • @synergymartialartsto knock out spinning back kick??? its a reverse side piercing or reverse back piercing, hard to tell from the bad form

  • @ebgravity The video that we were referencing was another video we have posted here. The video is titled Knockout Back Kick. Yes, it is a hybrid between a spinning side kick and spinning back kick! The form is actually pretty good in our opinion! Thanks for commenting!

  • @synergymartialartsto ohh ok, also sorry about the comment about bad form you guys are really good.

  • @ebgravity no worries. we appreciate the feedback!

  • I'm really not an expert on this; but do they wear additional protection under their clothing? As far as I always understood; the kick the red guy makes at 0:40 is more intended to win by inflicting serious damage then to win by scoring points; but here it seems to have barely any critical effect here oO. how does that work?

  • @NKPiest

They both didn't seem to try very hard, so I don't know if that was really at full force. But yeah I was wondering the same.

  • @NKPiest

The dwit chagi (backwards kick) he used can be intended to knock your opponent out, but that depends on if it's ITF or WTF. In ITF knockouts are not permitted (with few exceptions), still it's a quite used technique, meant to score points. For example get the opponent to chase you/want to give you a roundhouse kick and often you get a shot to counter with that kick.

  • ебать балерины

  • 2. Few thought something simple as a front kick might work in MMA and if you ask Randy Couture of Victor Belfort how effective it is....they would tell you otherwise and they got knocked out by the most basic kick in all martial arts training!

    3. The majority of MMA fighters these days have a Traditional Martial Arts background. From GSP, to Anderson Silva, to Fedor, all have studied an art. Then went into MMA.

Keep in mind...anyone can be hit by anything! It all can work!

  • @synergymartialartsto very well put

i cant stand all the internet warriors talking about "ohh this style sucks blah blah blah mma is the only thing that works" and they say taht without knowing the fact that MMA is the combination of any martial arts the fighter prefers and not its own single martial art

  • Thanks for the comments and opinions guys! Please keep in mind that this was a fun exchange between 2 students from 2 different programs at our school. Our priority is safety, and that we all walk out sparring as injury free as possible.

Few quick points on the effectiveness of TKD or kicking in general ...

    1. No one thought a jumping kick of a cage would work or be possible, seemed to Matrix like...and what happens Anthony Pettis proves a lot of people wrong doing it in a MMA Match!

  • any kickboxer that gets beat by a tkd fighter obviously has NO boxing skills hard to do a spinning outside cresent kick with a big right or left hook to the side of the head coming at ya

  • anyway is the person that matters. not the discipline. it is retarded to say kb is better than tkd

  • @19082010FLY my god thank you i hate ignorant idiots who say their style is better than any other style its the fighter not the style

  • @shiney551 Unfortunately most of People think TKD is useless, we have a lot of Gurus who think they know everything about taekwondo...But being the guru of "which martial art is better" is the gayest thing ever. They say:"You don't punch in the face", "you don't use knees"...FALSE, those are just rules, Taekwondo is much wider than that...Anyway in the street you do whatever it takes...That's why I keep loving TKD, it is soooo under estimated...

  • @19082010FLY yea alot of people under estimate TKD but most mma guy dont have nearly as clean kicks or powerful kicks as the any of the regional taekwondo teams TKD is a amazing martial art to do

  • Both guys look great looks like you have an awesome program!

  • @PierreDeMinuit 145 lbs. Currently getting bigger

  • I like looking at Taekwondo Vs Another Style videos on Youtube. Even if taekwondo loses I still watch, Because Since I'm a Taekwondo Fighter I study the video and see the mistakes the fighter makes, even in sparring to remember n better myself. What makes me happy is strangers using the right words like Dobak! =) What gives me motivation to not quit TKD is the So Many Negative Comments On Taekwondo! Rather You think TKD is Useless or a Fail I don't care cause I'm going to be the Best TKD F. EVER

  • @PierreDeMinuit Good luck, you have one problem... Im going to be the best ]:) One day we may meet, im quinton lee, of us..

  • @defcalledque Awesome! Same to you! I accept the challenge. I pray we do met and we are in the same weight class! Train Hard for I am and always will.

  • @PierreDeMinuit i cannot agree with you more. i am a taekwondo student aswell and i feel offended whenever the other style wins, so i try to see what mistakes the taekwondo person makes, one mistake i often see is the unnecessary use of a high kick, it is easier to get off balance if you kick higher, and i know tkd ususally has a lot of high jump kicks, but lower kicks to the shin or hips shouldn't be a problem for tkd people

  • never seen a red dobok before.

  • i like TKD but prefer kickboxing because i do it, cool sparrin match

  • Thanks for sharing your opinion! Sparring in a controlled way makes everyone enjoy the idea of sparring more.

  • I like the way you guys are sparring, nice technique and control. The perfect way to practice for the real thing
