I always get confused when people claim "THE best" at anything. There are numerous fantastic singers: Chris, Eddie, Layne, Kurt - all fantastic singers from the grunge era. But you can't forget other rock eras! Blues singers from the 40s and 50s, The Stones, Led Zep, Hendrix, the list goes on.

Let's all just band together and criticize pop music, which can be labeled as garbage because the artists don't even sing when performing live!

It takes guts to sing a song like this live.

@Pornitopia not too longer ago i might have argued, but..i never realized ho i loved temple, i loved soundgarden, audioslave pumped out a few good hits, and i even liked his solo stuff which i cant say about any other artist that came from a band..so he just might be the best in my eyes

The sound is an electric guitar played through a low gain rotary effect. The odds are that it's either a Guild S-100 or a Gretsch Electromatic. Not an accoustic, although it does sound a little bit hollow.
