Reviews are overrated...

People use reviews to justify the quality of a game.....A review number OUTWEIGHS the quality of the game....if the game sucks, but got 10s accross the board, people will go with the review....if the game got an 7 but its a great game and being slept on, again the score outweighs everything.

Reminds of G4 praising TooHuman giving hit high scores, then the game was released and everyone thought it sucked...LMFAO...(shakes head) reviewers.

dude unless u played uncharted 2 on very easy and did not look 4 anything then short i played it on normal and took my time lasted 10 hours most games now are like 6 hours

i know it couldve took me longer( i found most of the treasures btw and on hard) but im just saying compared to older games(like zelda) i downloaded it and played it through an emulator on my computer and it took me almost 3 weeks just saying

the main problem with internet reviews is that everyone has a different oppinoin it be awosome if there was a review website were they got 20 people to play the game all just random gamers each time, and them avrega it out, i can no longer trust IGN

UNCHARTED 2 got 10/10 on everything. which is kinda exaggerated, but i think its still worthy of the 10/10, but 9/10 would have been more realistic.

Exactly look at IGN they gave GTA4 a 10/10 but in reality it was a 8/10.

i pretty much agree with you, but i never paid attention to the numbers.. i did listen and read on the reviews ..cause they actually go into detail what they didn't like or did like.. and that helps me decide if i like it enough to buy. cause well no one is gonna want or like the same thing out of a game..

but yeah the number system is bullshit.

WTF some dude earlier gave MGS4 a 6? get the fuck outta here.. that game is damn near close to perfection. definitely a 8 if not a 9.

The game rating system is fine. It's the reviewers who need to change. Most reviewers nowadays are in the pockets of the major companies.

I agree completely with what you said about ratings even though the only games you choose to talk bad about are 360 exclusives or multyplatform games but no trash talk about PS3 exclusives ? why is that anyway the only next gen game i have personaly given a 10/10 is Bioshock.

My reason is after playing that game i felt so strange it effected me in real life the emotion in that story and the depth that each Charactor had was amazing to me. Graphics, Gameplay was perfect.

yeah thats true, i mean mgs4 is fricken awesome i would say own it, but gta4 i was just realy dissapointed in the no flying except in a helicopter.and borderlands doesnt have much diversity.
