Yea... Hyundai owns KIA but the are literally one firm now. KIA uses Hyundai Engines, so you practically buy a Hyundai with a KIA badge. But yes, Hyundai Bough kia a while ago. Without them KIA was not going to be so successful.
yes. it's funny how KIA who uses Hyundai engeins have their distinctve styles, while former Hyundai chief designer moved to Mercedes benz and hyundai does not have original style, even though i do like their styles alot!
Yes and to be honest I like KIA design more than Hyundai. I mean KIA is trying to be different while Hyundai is trying to blend in with Lexus and Mercedes and i don't think this works well just now. We are getting our Mohave (Borrego in USA) in 1 week and i'll be making a little consumer review which will not be biased. So you can check my channel in one week or so. :)
@dakidakov hyundai doesnt own kia.....hyundai is a poser mercedes they like to copy while kia hires people to disign cars like the 2011 kia sportage it was designed by the audi...
@chltmdwp Hyundai doesn't own Kia anymore. Hyundai owns less than 40% of Kia . They used to own 51% before they made the decision to create Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group
@chltmdwp yes that may be true but Kia helps design the engines. The Borregos V8 has the Genesis V8 yet it was modified by Kia for the towing application. HKAG owns Hyundai AND Kia and Hyundai is not a majority owner anymore.
When did it become popular to shift the model years? If they go on like this we'll be able to buy the 2030 model by 2010. Who do the car manufacturers think they are fooling?
Or maybe it is because, when sales are lower then expected, they can have cars that are more than a year old and still sell it as "this year's model"
It's been popular for all car manufacturers to do that for decades now. Usually the model year shift occurs in the 3rd or 4th quarter of the year. This also facilitates the time needed to retool a factory for when a new version of the model debuts so there's no gap.
Yeah and this car probably won't be available until like July or Aug. It just debuted at the Auto Show, chill. If you took a few seconds to research you'd see lots of 2009's have debuted but aren't on sale yet, such as the Dodge Challenger and 2009 Toyota Corolla. It's a model year, not the year the car was physically assembled.
WONDERFUL !!!
