I've worked that pod before. Treat inmates with respect and most of them give it back to you. Treat them like human beings and most of them have your back if this happens. I've had an inmate "buck" on me before and before back up could get to me, my inmates were standing by my side telling this dude "do something bitch, we got this dep's back!" I couldn't help but laugh at the whole situation, and the look on this dude's face when he realized his "fellow" inmates were on my side lol..

There are a lot of inmates who are in prison for having rare-short periods of violence, most of the time cause they were provoke, but that dont make them bad people, in fact, there is a lot of good people inside prisons.

That's what I was thinking, they didn't really report on the inmates saving him either, just about there wasn't a problem bla bla bla.

I know people make mistakes and that's why they're there, but to act like what they did wasn't good is a joke.

The people who helped are going to be in shit for the rest of their time there because they helped that officer.

@DCSportFan actually, they were all praised quite a bit. This particular clip just doesn't show it. I believe that the man in charge of the jail department even wrote a letter to the judges in charge of the inmate's cases and pleaded for a reduction of time in their sentences. Jail isn't prison either. "Snitches" are looked down on. But i doubt these inmates had any problems afterwards for saving this deputy's life. Most the inmates liked him anyway.
