  • If this was a movie... that PLANE would have exploded!

  • @Shuttheheckup735 False.

look dictionnary and your teacher at school.

It's an incorrect use of this word by people.

  • @MrDesillu Lol, dude it is a joke.

  • @MrDesillu

"Look dictionnary and your teacher at school."

Hm... Are you sure YOU shouldn't be looking at a dictionary? You misspelled dictionary by the way... that's just about the most amount of fail you can squeeze into the English language...

  • @Shuttheheckup735 That and misuse of ellipsis.

  • whos making popcorn?

  • WHOA! I feel so sorry for those people who were in that plane.

  • i've been on the plane when this happens, the lights flicker and its the end of the story.

  • If the forgot to screw the fuel cap back on, and that bitch struck right at the rim...

  • Zeus says ' fuck your 747'

  • Aliens appear in the plane and are like "WTF? Where is our tripod??" ;p

  • Oh my...I would have fainted on the spot. That is scary.

  • I wouldn't want to be in that plane, generally plane captains try to avoid going into thunder clouds if they can as it can short out the instruments-the clouds come up on their radar -we once had to avoid a thundercloud belt over Prague coming back from Istanbul in 1999 -hope that plane was okay after than bolt.

  • "Everyone on board is horribly electrocuted, For just over one billionth of a second, not long enough to cause anything bad."

    Don't be stupid

  • Seems kinda stupid how they didnt ground the flight during a freaking thunderstorm!!

  • Zeus, you mad bro?

  • People on the plane: HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!! i get to tell the story i was struck by lighting!

  • Doc? come in Doc! Doc do you read me?

  • wow.....imagine if lightning hits one of the engines or gets part of the fuel at all...... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

  • @lifes7holy7skateprk7 you clearly don't understand the concept of a Faraday cage. You could load a plane full of explosives and as long as the plane is metallic they won't experience a voltage across them.

  • @CovenantGladiator so what? yeah i get your super smart but noone cares, it was just a statement and it is a possibility :) maybe not for that plane specificly

  • heck yes me and my baby was on that flight when it happened. i was so scared because i was talking on my cell phone at the same time!

  • @mukaikof shut up.

  • "Let's film a plane in the air during a thunderstorm guys!"

  • So fake

1 it wouldn't have taken of in this weather

2 WHY THE FUK IS IT STILL IN THE AIR??????

  • lol is still in air :O

  • don't piss off zapdos

  • thunderbringer ultid.

  • Karthus...too bad he has full hp :P

  • If this evry hppnd 2 me while i wuz in an airplane id b TERRIFIED 2 evr get on 1 again i hav a rlly bad fear of lightning

  • Then don't fly during storms and or when storms are predicted in the weather forcast! All is solved to avoid flying in a plane as it may get struck by lightning.

  • O.O

  • This is normal.

  • @zitohhhhh EXPECTO PATRONUM!

  • Pikachuuuuuuuuu!!

  • If this was a movie... that plain would have exploded

  • @FPEvideos no the planes are made in such a way that lightning does not affect them or there would be a crash on 1 or the other day

  • @FPEvideos If this was an English class you would get an "F". (plane)

  • @FPEvideos It annoyes me wen people thumms up comments with speling mistakes!

  • @MrMasterUploader Funny you mention it. You have 4 spelling mistakes right there. (annoys, when, thumbs, spelling) It’s a good thing we’re on YouTube and not in English class otherwise we would be busted!

  • @FPEvideos lol.

  • @FPEvideos or go falling down with it on fire

  • @FPEvideos you spelled plane wrong bro.

  • @FPEvideos Plane

  • @goomee3d There... Satisfied?? Believe me, you're not the first to notice. Thumbs up my last comment to stop the evil wrath of YouTube spelling finatics. :P

  • Zap!

  • @zitohhhhh EXPELLEARMUS :)

  • This is a shocking video. No, really.

  • at 0:07 Zeus was like damn Hades and the plane just got in the way

  • planes can get hit by lightning they dont crash because theres no earth for it to go threw

  • there can't happen anything because the bolt was given down...

so the power is hitting the ground.. if the where some moore water(rain is not enough).. they where roasted like a chicken wing ;)

  • HOLY shit look how it actually touched the airplane and needed to hit the ground

  • Planes are Designed to withstand this, Lightning wants to reach the ground, So when it hits a plane it basically goes "LOLNOFUCKYOU" and goes to the back of the plane and discharges to the ground, Everyone on board is horribly electrocuted, For just over one billionth of a second, not long enough to cause anything bad.

  • @Shuttheheckup735 yes... when lighting struck man in the head it only goes through him and finish in so wanted earth...

  • @Shuttheheckup735 You're right about the first part: lightning wants to reach the ground ASAP. However, the airplane's fuselage acts like a Faraday cage. It conducts the electricity only on it's exterior and avoids any areas with higher resistances (windows, in-take fans, pretty much any orifice). The people inside probably just went "Holy f*ck that was loud!" and got a good scare out of it.

  • @Shuttheheckup735 True but it looked like more than a billionth of a second, the lighning lasted more than 1 frame

  • @Neptutron

The Electric energy lasted for a billionth of a second, The Heat and light energy stuck around a bit

  • Comment removed

  • @Shuttheheckup735 No. The plane's hull acts like a faraday cage. The electricity never passes through the contents of the plane. If that much electricity flew through you, it does not matter how long the exposure is, you will have suffered some sort of damage if not it being fatal.

  • @SleepinDevilX

A billionth of a second is over 500 million times faster then you blink your eye.

Plus people get struck by lightning often, yet quiet a few of them survive.

  • @Shuttheheckup735 maybe you should read up on Faraday for a sec...?

  • @Shuttheheckup735 hmm electrocuted is a word for say dead by electric.

  • @MrDesillu

Electrocuted means to have an electric charge (no matter how strong, or for what length of time) pass through your body.

It doesn't only mean you died.

  • @Shuttheheckup735 wtf so they do get electrocuted how can't they die i mean its lighing

  • @GanGsTerR4Live

The lightning that hit this plane, is moving at the speed of light (300,000 KM per SECOND), so the lighting would travel through each person in about 1/1,000,000th the amount of time it takes to blink your eye, since it's in contact with any one person for that tiny amount of time, even though the lighting is at a few million volts and a few hundred thousand amps, each person would feel the effect of only a couple milliamps. (not enough to move the hair on the back of your neck)

  • @Shuttheheckup735 So everyone's electrocuted in the less than a blink of an eye?

  • F*ck! O___O

  • dont worry planes can stand lightning

  • i like how that slow it down for you. as if you missed it the 1st time haha

  • Terrorist!

  • Actually radiens mad

  • everyone on the plane is like "well fuck me right?" hahaha

  • GODS JUST LIKE TAKE THAT FOOL

  • Fuuuuuuccccccccckkkkkkk!!!!!!!! NOT cool!

  • "Please sir, let me expla-"

"SO WHAT DID THE BATTERY DO JOHN, RECHARGE ITSELF?

SPENDING MONEY WITHOUT MY CONSENT... YOU JUST FUCKED UP JOHN, YOU FUCKED UP GOOD."

  • thor thought he was bad

  • Comment removed

  • DAMN NATURE YOU SCARY

  • actually zeus is mad

  • @Forthenetherlands if u actually been in a plane you would know that it has plastic like windows and on the inside were the people sit there isnt metal from outside. please learn basic physics before commenting on a vid like this plz

  • I hate it when people record stuff with gameboys >.>

  • @Wowzamagoogification haha,lol

  • If any of the commenters here knew anything about airplane design... It would be quite obvious that the lightning hit the surface of the plane, then travelled to the static wicks on the right wing trailing edge, as it would appear in this video, then continued to the ground. It didn't DBZ it's way through the metal, just used it as a conductor (as it was designed), which kept it away from the electronics and pilots/passengers, providing it a clear ground path to take.

  • @Forthenetherlands how can electricity go through metal.. its not a fucking kamehameha

  • @Forthenetherlands wow idiot

  • And yet, i can't use my phone on it...

  • Zuko tried to fuck up plane with lightning , but was not thinking about the rain -.-

  • and it is still up and running?!

  • Ummm ok 

  • @Forthenetherlands no, every plane is manufactured in a way to prevent a bolt from damaging the systems and hurting the passengers... when a plane is hit by a lightning it can send it straight to the ground, kind like the lightning rod in tall buildings.

  • WILD ZAPDOS APPEARED!

    ZAPDOS DOES THUNDERSHOCK!

  • @nikitasbighit shhhh

  • @RcEdits shh

  • WILD ZAPDOS APPEARED

  • Percy was on tht plane

  • a Boeing 747 dose not deserve to be get struck by lightning, lol

  • Correction 16,000 planes take off every day as estimated.

  • @jaitock1991

Yes you are correct but there is one misunderstanding, according to the flight records that keep all the flights status monitors planes and knows where they are at almost all times, there are les than 2 crashes a year average! The chances of you being on one of those two are 1 in 6,000,000! Six million being the average number of flights in one day.

  • mom... what zack.... look at the zaap.. mom u ok... what the fuck was that

  • yea, as you see it got struck around the nose, straight out the tail. Its just basic physics really.... no energy was actually released inside the plane except maybe a little heat.

  • Usually you would put it into the log book, so the ground crew can make an inspection to see if something was damaged, but in either case it will not interfere with the flight, it's just a safety precaution in case it burned a small hole somewhere that might need fixing.

  • miss

  • i've had that exact thing happen to me and all that happens is a loud band and a big flash...

  • Wild Zapdos?

  • @lattask8er should of had a copule of ultra balls or a master on stand by

  • @lattask8er YEAH! GO POKEMON!

  • takoff XDXDXD

    take off*

  • Seriously, who films airplanes...

  • @AsianHideOut haha

  • @AsianHideOut maybe he was waiting for lightning to hit one... dumb ass

  • @xhalcyonx do u not understand rhetorical questions? And I doubt that's the case

  • @pcdocter123 nope, my uncle flys a plane and i got a tour of one and how it works in my BSA troop, they are "sort of" designed to get hit by lightning. they can withstand the hit, and no one in the plane will notice a thing. It doesn't even make a sound aside from thunder as the lightning just passes through like in the video. And whats with u being a grammar nazi no one likes those

  • well if people were not that stupid to go under a coconut tree in the first place....

  • believe it or not, nearly fifty percent of

u.s.flights get hit by lighting, not planes, flights

  • @upsidedowntown 87% of all airplane crashes the passengers survive. meaning you are more likely to die in a car accident where only 73% of people and passengers survive.

Taken from the stats USA and stats Canada websites.

  • thats weird!!!!!

  • is it a bird?

    is it superman?

    no..

its a plane getting strucked by lightning

(wish id be a bird or superman)

  • wut happened to it

  • i was in that plane and i got an AFRO! : )

  • @StealaMaDrizzle89 YOU GOT TURNED INTO A JEW??

  • i just watched a video of a kid getting struck by lightining and it the lightning struck at the 8 second mark and if u pause it on the 8 second mark here its the first part of the lightning quincidense u chooooooossseeee

  • looked like it went through its mouth and out its ass...hahaha

  • thats fucking amazing

  • that plane to the lightning: u mad?

  • @stewiesfan2011 you disgust me

  • @pyromanizak mad?

  • @razaelielm YES I MAD

You internet twat over-using some faggoty meme. Game time: You are 15 yrs old?

  • Planes are design'd to absorb lightining strikes, my uncles an aircraft engineer.

so if that happened it would all be fine. there made to resist them, cos it happens so often.

  • god:DANG IT I MISSED

  • @ Dronekill123 u really have an IQ of 3 right??

  • @OneJona no no no his IQ is like 00000000 way below 0 its negative infinity. :)

  • more car crashes happen in a day than plane crashes in a year

  • This is obviously fake.

  • @Dronekiller123 MORON :\

  • did any happen in that plane? after the strom?

  • @busdriver153 yes, it flew an uneventful and boring flight all the way to it's destination, where the passengers unloaded, unaware that the plane had even been struck by lightning.

  • :D I rather go to the plane then the car because the plane is not touching the ground hahaha

  • Wow that was a shock!

    bad pun....

  • if the plane is touching anything else then the current cant be completed so the electricity doesn't pass through the plane

  • I've seen something like this on the history channel, but this video is much better. This happens all the time, no one is hurt, because the plane is not grounded.

  • OMG that's epic how could that plane survive two strikes at onece the computer in the plane were most likley fried!!!!!!!!

  • ITS A TRAP

  • sheat

  • planes get hit hundreds of times in a storm its perfectly safe

  • I wonder how it would feel to be in that plane when it got hit by lighting :P

  • forget planes im staying on the ground

  • yes planes are designed for get hit by the lightning cause when i was 7 and was on a plane on the way to spain then it get hit by the lightning and boom! nothing happend

  • gasp

  • Did it get hit twice? I thought nothing gets hit twice by lightening.

  • @SuzLa1 nah thats a replay.

  • Shit, I blinked. :(

  • It's pretty amazing people say planes are safer than cars, when u have a problem in the air you can't just pull over to the closest air station and work on it like u can a vehicle so if your plane has a prob your basically dead cause u will crash, do we really have dumbasses out there that think planes are safer than cars? Wow that's pretty disturbing

  • @josh26wv yeah its MORE safer than cars dude. think about the ratio 1000 flights i should guess 1 to 2 crashes. but for cars 1000 travels, 100-500 crashes..

  • @josh26wv planes have landed safely with hydraulic failures, engine failures, damage to very important flight controls such as elevators, etc. Also, look up Aloha airlines flight 243, that plane landed safely with only 1 cassualty after an entire section of the plane blew off. In a car on a highway, lose a tire goin 60 and ur done. planes are BY FAR a MUCH safer way to travel then cars.

  • Thats what Poland president said.

  • @RassuForYou fuck you man im polish and i take a lot of fucking offense to that it was Russia's fault anyway they made them land on the most fucking narrow airstrip in the country with wind speeds up to 60 mph.

  • @cryzyst8brder15 Sorry, i cant even remember why i said that. I know its no place to joke, when a plane crashes.

  • ooh lets hope it didnt crash

  • Did the plane survived? I noticed one Air France or different airliner stroked by lightning.

  • Faraday's cage principle is followed while designing planes.

the law says that in a hollow solid the charge on the outside surface is rearranged(by an external electric field) in a such a way

that the electric field inside it is zero, thus all the passengers and equipments are safe.

  • planes are designed that way but still very freaky

  • Comment removed

  • traveling on planes is safer than cars when you calculate the miles covered, but when the number of hours traveled is calculated then cars are safer

  • @LUCKYglider999

planes are can surpass the lightning like they bounce it of they metal somethings on the wings.

  • Planes are designed to be hit by lightning.

  • @Crazysmart08 i think theyre designed to fly, not entirely sure theyre designed for that specific reason though I'm no aeronautical engineer
